Absolute dump. We really wanted to like this place. We went in despite the reviews and wow it is what you would imagine. The liquor store side not is horrible if you just wanna drop in for some drinks for a BYOB restaurant and leave. On the positive side the back room when they have music people seem to really be enjoying themselves and having a great time, that's the only plus though. The bartenders were horrible. The tap beer tastes like all of it is connected to a blue moon keg that expired several years ago. And if you try to order food, or at least when we did, it won't come out at all. We really wanted to make this our new neighborhood place but while it may be a place for dancing, it is not a place for drinking, socializing, or eating. read more

MCM Pub has a nice location and an interesting setup, with a banquet hall in the back and a more traditional tavern-style space in the front. The food itself was good, and the wings were definitely the highlight. However, my friends and I had a very long wait almost two hours for our food, even though each of us ordered separately for takeout. It wasn't very crowded at the time, so the wait was pretty disappointing. It seemed like there was only one cook and one person working the front, which likely contributed to the delay. MCM Pub & Grill is located on Cicero, just a bit south of Six Corners. There is a main bar when you enter, and another bar in the back that may be for special events (they were about to host a birthday party when we left that day) and I suppose overflow crowds when they are busier. My love and I had a Friday evening excursion here along with our couple friends. We first enjoyed some beers before ordering food. The online menu shows daily specials that are astoundingly low, so not sure if the prices are up to date, but the deals still seem pretty reasonable. My love enjoyed her fish and chips, and our friends enjoyed that Friday special along with a thin crust pizza. We sampled a square of the tavern cut BBQ chicken pizza - not bad. My pulled pork sandwich with fries and a pickle spear was AOK. The service was pleasant and on point. Our initial server made it known (in a nice way) that she was checking out fairly soon, but then the handoff to the other server was seamless. Come for the beer, stay for the food. read more

Security let 23 year old through then when he got to my son he stated this was a 25 and over spot. Mind you he just let 23 yr old by. I went to this establishment on 6/14/2024. Never again. We were stereotyped as soon as we walked up. While some people were dressed up others were dressed down. I genuinely like this place. It has a wide variety of craft beers and a nice, friendly atmosphere. The reason for 3 stars is that the quality of food has shifted. When I first started going there last summer (2018), they had these amazing chicken wings. Big, meaty wings that could fill you up. Six wasn't quite enough but twelve was too many. I'd get the garlic parmesan. Did I mention they were amazing? Now? I swear they walk next door to Dominos and take their wings (yes Dominos has wings and if I'm gonna get small bits I might as well save some money). I'm still impressed that they have the truffle french fries. Those are amazing too and about the only reason, I keep going back. On a Friday night at 9pm there's plenty of room at the bar, quick and friendly service, free rain of the iTunes jukebox, and the gradual buildup of locals pouring in. The place is a nice size with a long bar and a couple of two seater and four seater tables along the perimeter. Loud music and an ample dance floor are located in the back , where karaoke kicks off on Friday and Saturday nights. I walked in and didn't see anyone eating so I was leery; but my hunger was way more adventurous. I ordered the MexiCali burger with grilled onions and I devoured it. Great seasoning , melted blue cheese crumbles, and crunchy bacon. It was delicious. I was impressed by the service, the atmosphere, and by all means the burger. I could become a regular here. Review based on their karaoke/dancing on the weekend! Its an older neighborhood crowd however many people go there to celebrate their birthdays or something special. I was there with a group of friends and right away we were on the dance floor!! Later on I noticed they also have karaoke and it just seemed like everyone there was just having a blast! The front of the venue was just remodeled so that was nice however the back where the dancing/karaoke happens looks the same as before. The food here at this place was pretty good. The people drinking in the bar were polite, and friendly. Kind of crazy going through a store to get to the bar but whatever, a little different. I stood there for 10 minutes IN FRONT OF ONE OF THE BARTENDERS WASHING DISHES, and he NEVER LOOKED UP! Never asked me "Can I help you" NOTHING! Not even the other two said anything. I discovered this place last Oct during the Cubs playoffs. As mentioned, there is a huge room with a seriously long bar in the back with pool table(s), big TVs and a big screen TV. It was great! The place was packed. Since then, they remodeled the storefront adjacent to the liquor store that's been mentioned and walled up the entrance to the big bar from the back of the store. This was a serious upgrade and the new bar is beautiful. Obviously, not huge like the back bar but that's good because when you have 5 people in a huge room it doesn't feel right. Washrooms are conveniently placed at the rear of the new bar. The new bar has several good TVs with sports on. Beer is priced on the low side of average and the food is really good. I love their pizza and on Wednesday it's 1/2 price pizza night. Fresh basil, too! They had free (Free) chicken wings during Bears home games at Half Time. They have trivia nights and had a fashion show (not lingerie show) and seem to be trying to draw in customers. This is a great find in an unassuming storefront. Let the friendship begin. We came back on a Friday night and he immediately remembered us. This place was really busy. Located right off of six corners MCM brings in all of the locals. MCM has all kinds of people of many different backgrounds. It is really a great place. The night we came they were doing karaoke. The liquor store is located in the front where you walk in. If you continue to walk through to the back you find yourself in the bar/restaurant area. The tables and chairs were set up to invite you in and focus towards the back area where the karaoke was taking place. The bar is on your left and tall boys with chairs on the right. There are several books for you to pick your song from. They have a good amount of newer top 100 music but they also offer a lot of latino hits. This was the biggest draw for the crowd and many of the patrons knew these songs. Spanish not being my first language I decided to do an Chris Brown song. I had fun with it and everyone watching/listening did as well. It was my first time doing karaoke like this and I would do it again. They didn't have any drink specials but they did have fireball. It's early in the night and nobody is even dancing, why does the music have to be so loud that you have to scream into their ear to speak to the person standing next to you? Forget about trying to have a group conversation. Please for the love of God turn the music down just a little bit. Otherwise this place is okay. What a great find! Great place to watch the Bears game! Plenty of TV's everywhere. Customer service excellent and food a huge standout. Pizza was homemade and ridiculously good! And drinks good too! The best kept secret on the North Side. Fresh, Clean and new contruction. The owner has a great attitude and even helps out behind the bar when it gets busy. It serves a Melo crowd that seem to all vibe for the same reason. It sort of reminds me of a pirvate old time speak easy. You feel special going through the double wooden doors after you walk through the Liquor Store. The best part of the night was that there were no punks or bad attitudes. It's a great place to unwind and let loose. It can get packed on weekends and those in the know get there early. The Karaoke was out of this world. I don't drink so we have never eaten there but I pick up their pizza occasionally and it never fails me. It's always so good. That pizza is 5 stars in itself. It's only 4 because a lot of time they run over on how long, like 20-30 minutes over the already 30 minutes I was quoted. I like this place. But the only problem is the djs. They usually play the same songs over and over again every weekend. Wich gets boring! And if you ask to play a certain song they most likely wont have it. Cause they are not updated as a DJ should be. The songs they play are not really good to dance. Im not saying all of them just some.. Its mostly salsa and retro than anything. I wish they would play more fast merengue and reggaeton and even bachata!
