Hopes were high as I embarked on my journey from Boston. About an hour into my drive, the worst of my fears came to fruition. The engine stalled on the highway, and I had to watch as the mph slowly drifted from 75 to 0. After slowly making my way over to the shoulder of the road, I turned the car off and on again to see if it would still drive. The car, luckily, turned back on, so I started frantically searching my on my smartphone for a local mechanic, knowing that the fate of my trip hinged on the kindness of a stranger. That's when I pulled into Rand's and met Butch. He had been doing desk-work behind a computer, but stopped to hear my story and take a look at my car. He spent the next hour running diagnostic tests and carefully examining the under-the-hood parts for leaks and cracks. After finding no leaks, he replaced the coolant in my car and had me go for a quick test drive to see if the temperature had stabilized. Thankfully, it had, and I was on my way only a few minutes later. Butch, of course, wouldn't accept payment, but I hope he knows how grateful I am for his assistance that day. I made it to NJ and back without a hitch, and our Hoboken weekend was saved due to his generosity. It's safe to say that there's a culture of honesty, integrity, and generosity at Rand's, and I would recommend their service to anyone in the Shrewsbury area.

Great service deserves recognition, and I believe you should treat people like you want to be treated. I had a bad transmission leak, and got our van towed to Rand's a bit after noon on Dec. 30, 2024. The Service Manager indicated he had a pretty good idea of what the issue was (transmission cooler line), and they would take care of it. Being Dec. 30, I was not sure when I'd get the van back, since the scope of the work was unknown, and could they could even get the part needed. Surprisingly, I got a call around 4:15 that same day that the van was ready. My wife and I drove over to pick it up and met three handsome young men waiting for us (they close at 4:30, so we arrived a few minutes after that time). Between their quick repair, and the very reasonable cost, I will definitely be going back. So, in too many words, I am a fan of Rand's and encourage other customers to give them a try. UPDATED since spring appears to be finally here (we hope), i opted to swap out the winter tires i got for my wife when we first moved here. since i had such a great experience at a-tech i figured we could have them take care of it here in shrewsbury rather than drive an hour to the costco where i got the winter tires. cody was great again in helping me schedule an appointment on short notice. couldnt be happier with their work and service. thanks again a-tech!
