I go to dealer for complex issues so can't comment on that. For fuel - Gas prices tend to run a few cents higher than 7-11 across the street but it's a full service station so for some people that convenience can offset the cost.

They told me they replaced all 4 spark plugs and engine filter due to a misfire on cylinder 1. On Wednesday, July 23, my engine light came back on. I called and got the car in next day. I was told that the car had coolant leaking and that I could have a cracked head gasket - costing well over $3k but that they weren't sure that was 100% the issue. I took my car back to get a second opinion. If my car had really had a bad head gasket my engine would have overheated, I would have smelled anti freeze in the oil, and/or notice black smoke when driving. I had none of these symptoms. Take a look at the supposedly "new" spark plugs. There is no way that these spark plugs were two weeks old. My new mechanic actually replaced the spark plugs and ignition coils. This place also intentionally unplugged my vacuum line so my new mechanic had to fish for it and replace it. I do not recommend this place and Fred's service. I feel manipulated as a woman taking her car to be fixed and being told certain things were done and bigger fixes needed to be made. It looks to me that they just took the code off, wanted me to come back, tell me it was a bigger service, allow them to fix it, and then actually replace the spark plugs for way over the price. I cannot believe such awful mechanics exist. Please, do not take your car here. You are better off finding a different mechanic. There is absolutely no way these were the spark plugs that were supposedly replaced on July 17. I am doubtful this shop has Ford spark plugs, that these would have so much buildup after just two weeks, one is cracked, and one isn't gapped. This is not the place for quality service.

I brought my truck to Premier Auto for an intermittent crank-no-start issue. I normally use another…read moreshop nearby, but AAA towing was unable to bring it there at the time, which is why I brought it to Premier. On the first visit, I was told it just needed an oil change. Four weeks later, the same issue returned. On the second visit, I was told the truck started fine for them and that the problem couldn't be diagnosed unless the check engine light was on or the no-start was occurring at the time. When I came to pick the truck up, it failed to start, at which point they said they could now diagnose it. I was informed that corrosion was found on the fuel pump ground wire. I was told the fuel tank was lowered, the ground was cleaned, and the issue was fixed. This repair was approximately $720. I specifically asked whether anything else should be replaced while everything was apart and was told no, and that the technician was confident the issue was resolved. Two weeks later, the same no-start issue returned. When I brought it back again, I was told the fuel pump harness had internal corrosion and was quoted $1,300 to replace it. When I asked why the rest of the wiring was not checked during the previous repair--especially after corrosion had already been found--I was told they did not want to perform additional labor at that time. I also questioned the labor cost, as I did not feel it was reasonable to pay again for major labor so soon after the prior repair. I was told additional components such as the bumper, tail light, and spare tire would need to be removed. At this point, I lost confidence in the repair approach. I declined the work and took the truck elsewhere. After bringing the truck to another shop I have used previously, I was informed that the fuel tank does not appear to have been lowered during the prior repair. The tank strap bolts show no signs of being loosened, heated, or disturbed, which does not align with what I was told about the work performed. P.S. After bring my truck to the other shop and after removing the fuel pump assembly, the condition of the pump and surrounding components showed significant corrosion consistent with long-term exposure. Based on its condition, the fuel pump clearly warranted replacement alongside the harness. I am also a former mechanic, and based on my experience, several explanations I was given about the work performed at Premier and the necessity of labor did not align with standard repair practices.

I said the coupon was for a $45 oil change. He said not for my car. Then he said they needed to pull it in to check the Vin # to see what my price would be. I said its and oil change....you know the price and besides the coupon is for $45. See below as I included a Pic of the coupon. Shady business as a couple other reviews mentioned. Bait and switch tactics. I will continue to use the two places I have been going to down the street and never recommend "premier" to my friends and neighbors.

The manager didn't handle it any better--he said he would email the owner and that I'd hear back, but no one ever followed up. They need to seriously talk to Lou about how he speaks to customers.
