I feel bad for leaving a negative review, Gary seemed nice and it looks like the shop has a pretty good rep but this was my experience. I should add that this was done before I was about to take a trip - so time was a factor. Took my Harley in to get it serviced and have him take a look at a leak. Got it back - it appears in trying to stop the leak he over torqued my transmission plug and stripped it entirely. Dude ghosted me when I tried to call him multiple times, didn't return the calls and the business hours don't mean that he will be there. I thought my primary gasket was no good, I showed him the concern and he replaced it. Told me afterwards it wasn't even broken, but he replaced it anyways. So now my bike leaks more than it did when I took it in, I have a new gasket that I'm not entirely sure that I needed and I'm out 500 bucks. Lesson learned. Ended up getting irritated and just fixing the thing myself.

We were headed home to Southern California from Seattle when the battery light turned on and our battery died near Redding around 7pm. Thank goodness we found Roy on yelp! He came out to our hotel to diagnose the car later that night and returned the next day with parts to fix the alternator. We were back on the road by lunchtime. Roy being a mobile service was such a god send for us as we were traveling with 2 kids and a large dog. We didn't have to Uber back and forth from an auto shop to the hotel and back again which cut out so much stress from an already stressful situation. Tips: I would recommend texting Roy if he doesn't pick up. Depending on the time of day, he can be a one man show and not able to pick up the call right away.

Sometimes the job just doesn't go smoothly. When he finally arrived he was quick to diagnose the problem and order the parts. He said it had. He would pick it up and head right over after he finished with a jump start. After waiting a few hours (maybe the jumpstart was in Sacramento?) we asked to reschedule as it was getting late and we had a family situation to handle. He agreed to the next day. That was a week ago as I write this review. Tried texting. Tried voicemail, full box. No return communication and still need a repair.

The bike needed new tires. There is no need to screw around online trying to "get a deal". The very BEST way to get new rubber is to just call Shane at 5303382096. Elite Motorcycle Don't waste your time (and his) with garbage "deal" tires you find on some discount site. I did that. Due to our past service relationship on my bike he agreed to put them on. Always professional, always reliable, always a great price. There is ZERO reason to go anywhere else. Thank you Shane for helping me on this amazing journey.

Excellent Mechanic and a Gentleman at that, Very Knowledgeable Mechanic, Very Helpful…read more I brought my tires to Shane's old Shop and had him change the front and rear tires and spin balance on my 2007 Honda VTX1300R I was plagued after new tires were installed with Customers 45 degree metal Valve stem with Rubber base. My rims are thick but flat they block easy access to the valve stems so the stems come out at a 45 degree angle. I was just trying to reinforce that curved part of the stem for long term use, (preventive maintenance) I noticed after a few days the tire would look low so I would check and the have to use the rechargeable tire pump to bring it back to desire pressure. I thought I had a rim leak, I was busy using my new tires breaking them in before winter. I had spoken to Shane over the phone and he told me to spray the rim and look for bubbles, I didn't see any, I sprayed the capped valve stem and didn't see any. Even after riding 100 miles in the first day it took about a week for the tire pressure to be low enough that I would notice it, After most of my running around was done in the span of about 3 months some days it would be slightly low other days it was fine, I Asked Shane for some help I was trying not to bother him since his old shop was packed with Harley's and it was near Christmas I didn't want to be a bother to him. He didn't have any issues he told me when a good time to come by the shop and he's have a look at it and get her solved. I brought the tire in off the bike to cut my costs and Shane sprayed down the rim No leak he then removed the valve stem cap and sprayed down the valve stem and it bubbled profusely. He pulled the Inner valve and deflated the tire and pulled the leaking Valve stem and unmounted the tire to get to replacing the stem and used one of his angled stems, He remounted the tire and filled it up and sprayed the stem and it too was leaking. So He re-pulled the stem and tried another until it didn't leak. He remounted the tire re-balanced the tire, and didn't charge me a thing. I gained some experience and a New Mechanic to go to. Thank you.

Old pipe was welded up of 3 pieces, Steve looked at it and "still didn't fit". (The old pipe and muffler were installed at a reputable place in Redding.) Steve just happened to have a brand new, in the box muffler for a later model Jeep. He got it out and fiddled around and said he could make it work. I asked him when I should bring it in, he told me he would do it right now if I would wait. In a few minutes the rotten pieces were off my Jeep and the new muffler was welded to the old catalytic converter. I really enjoyed watching Steve work. It was obvious he is an expert at his job. After several interruptions from other customers and some kind of magic, he had fabricated the new tailpipe of one piece (a work of art) that fit perfectly, stuck it in, replaced a hanger where one was totally worn out. The entire experience, including interruptions, was about 40 minutes and was very fairly priced. My jeep sounds and drives like new! This is definitely the place to go in Northern California.
