I explained I would be leaving the lake Sunday so that wouldn't work. Service Manager said bring it in today we'll see what we can do. Got there an hour later and they pulled mechanic off of another job to work on my issue. I thought I'd have to leave for a day, mechanic asked if I'd mind waiting about an hour. They not only fixed, hooked up trailer to my truck and I was out of there in less than 60 minutes. It cost half of what my son paid in the bay area 6 years ago for identical work. These guys are great, entire staff friendly and just wanted to get us back on the lake. I could not have been more pleased, especially since it cost much less than I was anticipating. Great business, highly recommended.

I dropped my bike off for two factory recalls, trusting them to handle it properly. I specifically…read moretold them I use the bike every day to commute to work, and they assured me it would be ready the next day after leaving it overnight. Instead, they only completed one recall and wanted me to leave it several more days for the second part. I couldn't afford to be without my only transportation, so I had to take it back unfinished. Just a few days later, I removed the seat and discovered a sheared-off bolt exactly where they had worked on the recall. I've never performed my own service -- this was clearly their mistake. When I contacted them, they basically denied responsibility and said the bike "wouldn't have left the shop like that." The frustration and lack of accountability left me feeling completely let down by a dealership I expected better from. Fellow Harley riders -- beware. If you need recall service at Shasta Harley, go somewhere else. They're unreliable, unwilling to stand behind their work, and may leave you stranded or with new damage. Not worth the headache

Unfortunately, or fortunately for me when I told Rick all this he took me over to his house and made me an excellent breakfast! The saddle that he made for my 2004 BMW K1200LT is really nice. It looks good and serves me well when I am riding (comfortable!). Rick is an excellent human being and when I need another saddle for another of my bikes, he's the one that I will contact!

I Called the shop and asked how much to get a muffler welded onto my Engine [estimate 45.00 + shop…read morelabor] Then when I brought my **Bicycle** into the shop to have them Weld on a YZ80 muffler onto a Header to be mounted on the 2 stroke motor. The estimate went up to $120.00 *Including shop labor*. But His welder was out sick, So they had someone else work on it. It sat at their shop for 2 weeks waiting on the welder to get better. by the time the 3rd week rolled around Monday morning I was on the phone and the gentleman on the other end of the phone said he had another mechanic that new how to weld. Would I be all right with him doing the work, I said yes. 3 days later I was told I could pick it up. The Mechanic that worked on my Ride, He's such a Idiot! The welds are blobs and balls & pitted. Worst welding I have ever seen from a Newbie Welder! I had spent 20+ hours getting that Muffler to a Mirror finish and 3 separate coats of High Temp Gloss Black Baked in the oven at 300 degrees for 2 hours and wet sanded after each time before the next coat. It looked like a Black Mirror I loved it! The Welder decided on his own to re-paint my Muffler to it's original flat black using HTP and charged me 2x times the price of A can of High Temp Paint. The Mechanic was using the paint to cover up his poor job of welding. On top of this I was charged 157.29 for him to weld my Muffler & Paint my Muffler. Yes I took a Bicycle to a Motorcycle Mechanic to get a Motorcycle Muffler welded onto a 2 stroke motor for me. I've got over $2,000.00 into this ride. I was shocked at what he did to my ride and the price I was charged, I'll never send anyone to them.
