They changed the oil, and charged me $122 for a diagnostic fee and around $150 for the oil change. The mechanic told me that I needed a power steering pump and high pressure hose etc replaced which would cost $2801.34! Because the fan belt was dirty as some power steering fluid had dripped on it and also should be replaced! I had worked for 6 years as a mechanic for VW and I know after checking the power steering unit myself that it did not need replacement! Neither did the high pressure hose etc! And to replace a fan belt because some fluid had been spilled on it is also unnecessary! The whining noise coming from the power steering unit is caused by a low level of fluid in the unit and is fixed by simply adding power steering fluid in a 6 year old car! As the engine warms up and the fluid expands, the noise disappears! I believe that they saw an 82 year old person come into the dealership and they tried to take me for an expensive ride! This is sad! I have bought 4 cars from this dealership and serviced them there! This issue is caused by either an incompetent service staff or by a conscious attempt to sell me service and parts that I did not need! I will not pay for incompetence at these prices nor will I be a victim of consumer fraud.

Was immediately contacted about coming in for a test drive. Scheduled a test drive and, day of, while on our 90 minute drive to dealership, was contacted and told that the car couldn't be located. The car couldn't be found for two days. Eventually it was supposedly located at some outside vendor...for the next two weeks it was a bunch of run arounds and we eventually found a similar car at a cheaper price with fewer miles and better upgrades through another dealer. Their overall organization needs improvement and the people who answer the phones need a serious 101 on costumer service. Just an exhausting overall experience. Will not consider this dealership in the future.

We had initially been told that the diagnostic would only take about 1-1.5 hrs, and it wasn't until about two hours later that we were informed that these diagnostics could take a long time because of having to charge the battery, and we could have a lift to anywhere within a 5 mile radius. Since we had a squirmy toddler with us, having this information much sooner would have been helpful. Ultimately, we were told that they could find nothing wrong with the vehicle and that the error could have occurred if we were running on low gas for too long (which we did not believe was the case). They told us that they had cleared the codes and that we should be fine. When I reminded them that we had a long out- of-town drive with our toddler, they gave us the same assurance. We left Chicago, and the vehicle stalled again after being on the road for around 7 hours. It first showed an error code within 1.5 hours of driving, but since the code disappeared after restarting the vehicle, we thought that we would be fine. It again appeared as we were continuing to drive, and the vehicle finally stalled as we were driving on 55 south. We had to get a tow, and the vehicle is currently being serviced at Ackerman Toyota in St. Louis. We would like to be contacted, and moreover, we would like either a refund or a credit to our vehicle's work at Ackerman since our vehicle was not actually serviced. Most importantly, our toddler was put at risk. We gave them the opportunity to make this right before we posted a public Google and Yelp review. They chose to not even contact us.

They told me I had to pay for it out of pocket, but I had the tire warranty, with Jennifer's (in financials) help I was able to show I had the warranty and get the service done. I dropped my car off at 9:30am and waited nearby, having no way of getting around. When I came for an update around 1:45pm they told me it would be ready by 3:00pm. When I came to pick up the car at 3:00pm, they told me they're finishing up and that they'll skip the wash to "save" me more time, but I ended up waiting another 30 minutes. Just for the guy next to me to get his car washed and get his car before me... Not even a week later the tire pressure light turned back on and when I checked the tire pressure it was 10 under what was needed.
