I first applied for the Customer Service Rep position through Indeed who told me about a job fair they were having. At the job fair I was told that the customer service rep job had been filled, but there was an HR job I could apply for. After waiting an hour I finally get called back for the initial interview only to find out this job paid half the amount that the job i originally wanted paid. I decided to leave and didn't think anything more of it. Two weeks later I notice the same job posting for customer service rep on Indeed, but this time it took me directly to the website and said nothing about the job fair. I filled out my application and was called on December 28th to schedule an interview. The interview was scheduled for today, December 30th at 11:30am. I arrived at 11:15am, checked in with the employee at the front, and sat down to wait. I waited another ten minutes before the same employee at the front advised me that the manager who was doing my interview had to "leave unexpectedly " and asked if I wanted to reschedule. I'm not sure why I couldn't have been notified before my interview time as I had just gotten off night shift, got ready, and headed to the interview. The lack of common courtesy made me not want to ever apply for another job at McLane's again. read more
