I'm glad to have spotted Classic's newer location in what had been part of the old Bierce Hardware…read morestore on Southeast Avenue. Working with owner Ron Call was a real pleasure, and we felt no pressure at all to "buy today." It turned out that his prices were reasonable and it was clear that he cares about quality work. We chose to pay a bit extra to have them move all furniture... Well worth it! We found carpeting for the family room and upper hallway, as well as a bedroom. It all looks great, and the installation of a complex patterned carpet was done expertly. We ran into one snag that was NOT the fault of Classic, but the manner in which Ron and his installer, Sean, handled it showed real integrity. Here's what happened: When Sean began the installation of the LVT for the kitchen flooring, he saw some slight scuffs in the finish (I might not have noticed them for months or years). The other boxes had the same problem. Owner Ron immediately ordered new product, but there were similar flaws. Ron asked the manufacturer to find perfect examples of what we needed, but no luck- it turned out to be a manufacturing flaw. Fortunately, he helped us find something similar from another manufacturer. The flooring was finally installed, and it's really elegant. My point is this- installer Sean and owner Ron wanted nothing less than perfection in the product we were buying. Trust me, they could easily have let it slide, and a lesser business might have done so. However, Classic really had our back and did everything possible to help us get the quality look we wanted. The flooring in the kitchen and all the new carpeting look spectacular. It's easy to leave a great review when everything falls into place perfectly. Sometimes, though, the true hallmark of a good business is how they handle things when something goes awry. Despite an issue that wasn't their fault, Classic Carpet took great care of us, and I highly recommend them.

Installation appointments were rescheduled four different times. In less than a year, with minimal use, both the carpet and luxury vinyl plank flooring look like they're a decade old. The floors have cracks, lifting planks, uneven seams, damaged thresholds, and mismatched dark brown plastic trim installed against gray flooring. The bathroom installation was the worst part. The installer reused an old toilet wax ring instead of installing a new one, causing a leak that damaged the new wood subfloor and leaked into the basement. They also failed to install flooring under the vanity. The damage cost us over $3,000 to repair. When we repeatedly contacted the company, it took months for them to respond. Their "repair" involved ripping out the brand-new subfloor and piecing it back together. The carpet also began wearing out in less than six months, and we were simply told they "don't do patchwork." This flooring was installed for my 85-year-old mother. Instead of standing behind their workmanship, management made the experience even worse. Dionte, from the Twinsburg office, was argumentative, refused to provide his supervisor's contact information, and promised reimbursement that never happened. Instead of covering the more than $3,000 in damages, the company offered only $500--and only if my mother signed a release giving up any further claims. This company failed in its installation, customer service, and warranty support. I cannot recommend them and will be filing complaints with the appropriate state agencies. (It's also worth mentioning they covered the water line hole and line itself under the refrigerator) .
