I happened to notice a couple of earlier comments about refusing service based on beliefs, and feel inclined to state that while I wasn't there, and do not know either the business owners or the reviewers in any intimate/personal way, never in the many times we've been there, ever come to learn the politics or personal beliefs of anyone at the counter, or the owner, not have they come to know mine. I cannot, in that case, fathom how anyone's personal beliefs came into play during a routine business transaction. I'll continue to be a repeat customer.

We were to choose from: Refinishing existing 1979 scratched and water damaged cupboards, replacing doors with painted cupboards, replacing doors with stained cupboards, and replacing boxes with stained wood of our choice. We chose to refinish our existing cupboards as we enjoy our layout, the doors are solid wood, and it was a great value. Old Kettle Road Wood Working went the extra mile to do an excellent job of refinishing with a darker stain, adding veneer to cabinet ends, building counter top supports, and adding trim to finish the job beautifully . They also refinished a room-dividing self and my cutting boards, rebuilt three drawers and replaced the base of the cupboard under the sink. I can't thank them enough for listening to what we wanted and carrying it out so excellently. I look forward to working with Christo again. I am not really knowledgeable about wood but the prices seem competitive. I shop here infrequently for my dad. He makes turn bowls and many other beautiful items. He discovered the store when he was living in Chewelah.

I called his business again after the 2 weeks leaving messages to get back to me on my order and after a week or so he finally called back with excuse of wet weather the cedar blanks needed to dry bit more before running stating maybe another 2 weeks. I called back after another 2 weeks leaving another message to see if my order was ready for pickup. Again I received no call back and after leaving more messages he finally called back reassuring me he would fill my order. This went on and on all summer and into late fall with Buzz finally saying he would call Columbia Cedar to see if they had a unit to sell (2nd time he told me that, he must have sold the cedar blanks he had said he was going to run for me). He said he would call me when I could come ad get my order. I had also originally ordered some pine boards in March 2020 which he said he had which were to be picked up with cedar board order. When I last talked to him late last fall he stated he didn't have them any more. I am still waiting for Buzz Webley to call me back on my order and am wondering if I would get March 2020 prices or current prices which are 2 to 3 times more. Bob and Corey came out and Corey was very patient with me while I learned how to clean the stove. However, when we got up this morning, the stove would not work at all. After waiting until 10:00 AM to call them, I was told there is no one to come out until Monday. We have never had such poor customer service in an area before moving up here. The people are nice but the service is what customers rely on when doing business. After cooler heads prevailed the problem was solved and they provided excellent service.
