So I was able to be seen for my sinus and ear infection and get my meds without going from one business to another. Clean. Family friendly. Friendly staff. Marcy'sDinerTantrumScale 5/5- NoScreamingKids. I do know over the years that the meds that are prescribed for sinus infections has changed. And I'm willing and able to accept that. The last one I had was completely healed with the same med they ordered today. It's not the same ones Docs used to prescribe, but it's effective. And that's what matters. To use the top line of antibiotics immediately leaves nothing to go to if that infection doesn't clear up. No point in creating superbugs, right?!

The PA, Rhonda snuck him in right away and only took a few minutes to evaluate him before sending us to the ER. My son was reluctant to participate in any type of prodding or evaluation. Very thankful she was patient and so good with him, and they didn't end up charging us since no treatment was given. I was a little leery when driving up to a grocery store to get care, but they were very professional (the nurse and PA) and I'd absolutely go there again.

I have had many ear infections in my life averaging over one a year for some fifty years. I had ear tubes many times as a child and would have multiple ear infections a year as a child so I kind of know what an ear infection feels like. She said it was not an ear infection despite my ears looking red and I was running a significant fever. She didn't even check in my ears. She told me that it was too soon with the runny nose and cough to be able to diagnosis as flu or covid as the tests are not accurate until one is sick one to two weeks. That is counter to what the rapid tests are meant to determine. I had the flu and covid vaccine and she told me vaccines do not do anything. It is better to get immunity the natural way. What kind of stupid people does McFarland hire. I ended up going back to work for the rest of the week and was dizzy, light headed, ears hurting, etc. It took about four weeks to get over the ear infection/sinus infection, but at least if wasn't covid or the flu. All I have to say is that Rhonda Rotert, PA-C should be injected with some brain cells since she is not competent at all.

Called me in tears. Went to the ER and sat for three hours missing classes graded on attendance. Left with a full exam, bloodwork, and prescription meds for the problem McFarland said wasn't serious. Very disappointed. Since when does phone triage decide what's serious?

I understand this facility is not capable of testing for a larger variety of issues, however they decided to prescribe him 2,000mg of Amoxicillin *per day*. His symptoms got worse, and when we continued to contact this facility they advised to stick with the dose. A week later we decided to take him into the ER, and it turned out to be Appendicitis-surgery immediately. Again, I understand that Urgent Care centers have limitations on their abilities. However, a transparent suggestion to seek further medical advice instead of feeding him antibiotics would have been a smart and transparent next step. Very upsetting.

The front desk told me that I had no insurance and paid a lump sum of $184.80. Then I told the doctor that I would be out in less than ten minutes. She also said that you don't need to see a doctor for this type of allergy, you can just go to a regular pharmacy and buy medicine yourself! No prescription medication and a month later they sent me another bill for $98.40! Said I chatted with the doctor for 35 minutes! It said that if it exceeds 30 minutes, it will be counted as 45 minutes!

Don't these places usually have more than one service provider? Then, after that person finally got seen, it seemed to take forever for ME to get seen. Meanwhile, five more people walked in after me. Hope it didn't take forever for the five more people. But, once I got seen, the Physicians Assistant who saw me was quick AND thorough. I had an ear problem. Got it diagnosed quickly. The Physicians Assistant was very friendly and nice. She also was able to "shoot" a prescription to Wal-Mart and I was able to get it. One thing I was surprised at, they didn't require you to fill out a 10 page thingie on health history. Ok, whatever. They were also ok with me not providing my SS number for my claims, it's not required. The seemingly long wait time irked me when there was only ONE other person at the time I went in, but I would go here again if needed.

But smith in waukee is absolutely unthinkable. 3 times this doctor verbally abused me, shouting and making false accusations repeated over and over again. Then, she gets the current doctor scholz involved by spreading rumors and lying. I went for a med check, and scholz brings up medication that wasn't what she told me she was going to change. Then she picks up a bunch of papers, waves them in the air and said, what is this? If I had my wits about me, I would have said you acting crazy. This is a very immature gossipy bunch of women. I doubt that i'm the only one smith has verbally abused. If you were verbally abused by smith in waukee or west des moines put your note in here, the more people tell the less it's gonna happen. Neither of these doctors understands what FM LA is or how it works or what accommodations ate Or how those work, they'd rather gossip and come up with their own weird imaginations. Remember everyone's behavior is their own choice including doctors. Smith eventually kicked me out of her clinic because I was five minutes late. The rule is ten minutes. I've waited for her up to an hour.
