Incredible day out on the ranch. My parents are about 30mins away and well worth the drive. Slow pace on a Monday allowing us to soak in the ranch and we tasted the gelato and olive oils, very tasty any 3 people can share this easily 4. We tired both the reserve and red wine tasting. Protip:They will bring others to try if you have questions about which flight is best. Also ask for a side of bread with the gelato and oil
Freaking love this place! So hard finding a place that has something to do for pregnant people . Took Husbie here for his bday ! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was such a beautiful day & the place was breathtaking. Love that you have a beautiful view overlooking nature and the pond[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . The service here was great ! Chris was super helpful & gave us the best service . He made our visit amazing & really enjoyed our conversations with him. We did the honey and cheese tasting $45. The cheeses were so good & the honey paired nicely with the Chevre & Brie. We also did the gelato & olive oil tasting $35 which is a must since it was super warm . They were paired with 3 olive oils . My favorite wasnthe Chai. We also did the non alcoholic tasting $22 which came with 2 Rose's & 2 shrubs of your choice . I wasn't a big fan of she shrubs since they tasted like Kombucha to me but i loved the Rose's . My absolute favorite . I will come back again since I really enjoyed our time here. Such a gem of a place.
LOVE visiting McEvoy Ranch when in wine country, it can even be a destination. This is almost a sanctuary for us that we share with friends and family after my cousin stumbled upon it and we went to explore one afternoon. We visit Petaluma often and always make a point to make a trip out to the ranch to pick up some great olive oil and enjoy an afternoon away from the rush of the real world. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is extremely gorgeous and peaceful here, the food is always impeccable, the tastings are unique and the service is wonderful[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Must book a reservation for any tasting or lunch (48 hours in advance) unless you are just doing a quick boutique stop for some olive oil, incredible choices for cheese, Salumi, tapenades, skincare or wine. I have been such a fan of McEvoy Ranch since they had a storefront at The Ferry Building in SF. Love all their EVOO, the wine stop pourers, and their Verde line of moisturizers is divine.

I love the citrus infused one! We had sparkling rose and pinot noir and both are very good! We also went to the shop to buy something for home and I got the olive oil lotion. Its smooth and creamy on the hands! The staff assigned to us is amazing! She is very helpful and accommodating! Cant wait to go back with my girls and try their long dinner service at night!
Beautiful pastoral location!!!! It feels like a different world than city life. We came during January, which is a slower time of year, and so we didn't need a reservation nor was it busy. The wine is wonderful, but the olive is the BEST anywhere. The customer service was relaxed and friendly. The gift store has my favorite ODE products I order online. The face oil is the best on the market.

This olive oil ranch is worth going to located right outside of Petaluma it has history, art , gardens architectural beauty and wonderful olive oil and wines. My friend was celebrating her birthday . She has discriminating taste and took us to this beautiful place. We had a great tour guide she knew a lot about art, history , wine, olive oil and about some of the plants. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It had a great outside area that you could taste olive oil and wine.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It is a worthwhile stop if you're in the area.
What a find! I was recommended to come here by a friend and was blown away! It's a bit of a drive out of Petaluma but gorgeous drive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]All outdoor seating with fire pits and adirondack chairs that made it relaxing, with stunning views of the pond and surrounding hills.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered the valentines special tasting menu and loved the small bowls of multiple bites - the pot de creme was the best! We also did a wine tasting and enjoyed their reds, as well as the rose they greeted us with. And I loved the shop inside where you pay! Wine, bath products, specialty food items, Id come back just for the shop! I've told many people about this place already and I can't wait to come back.
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful tour and olive oil tasting at McEvoy's this week. Our tour guide was very engaging and we learned about the incredible life that Nan, the ranch's founder, had. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The property is beautiful and the product is fantastic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service for the tasting was impeccable. We enjoyed every part of it. Highly recommend!

She explained the history of the property and where all of the locally sourced ingredients came from. What a special day! Reserve in advanced for an exceptional experience.

So picturesque.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Mike gave us a fantastic tour-- so much interesting history behind the family owners, so many interesting elements including how olive oil is harvested and manufactured--not your average tour. Emily was a super star -- was welcoming and accommodating to our group like no other location in wine country. Winery tours are a dime a dozen. This tour, in contrast, plus wine plus olive oil tasting was a great combination--truly unique. read more
Without a doubt we'll return sooner than later. We did not have a reservation so just walked around a little, asked some questions. The signs are very clear "Reservations" required. Looking forward to olive oil tasting. BTW; after your visit keep driving west and try the Marin French Cheese company, not far from McEvoy Ranch. read more
This was the prettiest venue I've ever been to. The drive there was so beautiful. You go through a gate and there is parking in front of the tasting area. We were greeted with sparkling water and water. We were seated and ordered the olive oil tasting. There are other tasting options and food/dessert, but we came for the olive oil tasting. The olive oil was so delish. Our favorite was lemon and basil. It was so breathtaking there and we will definitely be back for a full ranch tour. read more

Came here for a wine tasting for my birthday. My friend treated me since he has a membership. The staff was so nice and hilarious. I was actually surprised by how much I enjoyed the wine!! It was so good I ended up buying a bottle. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The little gift shop was so cute we ended up getting some cbd products.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We also tried the olive oil and that was a lot of fun too. Came here for a day trip and it was a wonderful day filled with beautiful scenery and olive oil. We did the olive oil tasting and seasonal cheese sampler. The service was great, our server spent a lot of time with us, sharing the history behind the ranch. This place is pet friendly and they were so welcoming to my dog. Just note that pets aren't allowed in the milling room of the tour, so you may have to wait outside with your pet (food safety and cleanliness mandates). I would recommend pre-downloading google maps prior to your trip since there may not be cell service in the surrounding areas. read more
Pretty lake and estate. I came by without an appointment, and they were so nice to still accommodate us. Really nice property with a lake. We were able to try a few wines and ended up buying the 2017 Cab. Great service and very knowledgeable. read more

Came here a few weekends ago with my family for wine tasting. It was everyone's first time visiting this place and we were so pleased with the ambiance and got to sit under a tent set up and decorated for Christmas. We decided to also do an olive oil tasting along with our wine tasting and also purchase some cheese and crackers. Everything was delicious and we went home with some small bottles of olive oil ( the lemon and jalapeno were everyone's favorite). The service was wonderful as was the view around the back. They even had a farmers market with tons of fresh produce, and sister bought a whole bunch of veggies to take home with her. We can't wait to come back again and have another memorable experience. read more
A hidden gem! Where else can you find both the options of either an olive oil tasting or wine tasting at the same place. A peaceful, quiet location; you get to enjoy the hillsides of Petaluma and the view of the olive groves. The reserve olive oil tasting let's you taste the extra virgin, the cooking, blood orange, basil, and garlic with nice, crusty bread. The option to add meals to your tasting is a great choice to enjoy the day with your tasting. The service is super friendly and knowledgeable. I definitely want to try more of their varieties of olive oils. They also have various products made from their oils also. read more

McEvoy Olive Oil is the freshest and best olive oil you can get in California. Absolutely worth the price! I buy the big jug and refill my counter top bottle every week or as needed. Yum! read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]When we arrived, we were welcomed, given a taste of blush wine, then taken to a lovely patio table with a lovely pond view.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had reservations for one olive oil tasting and lunch. I wasn't sure how much to order for lunch and had over ordered. Our waiter, Michael was super helpful and explained it to us. So we backed out a few items. The potato leak soup was fabulous and served in their McElvoy mug, a delicious salad and corn muffin came with it too. It was so delicious. We finished with the citrus tart. OMG that was so fabulous order your own, do not share, that is a mistake I made. We bought three of the delicious oils, and we had to have the mug, perfect shape for soup or a great cup of tea/coffee. I added a white wine tasting for fun, the Chardonnay, was out of my comfort bit definitely worth tasting and buying a bottle. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They are very laid back here which makes the experience even more enjoyable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We will be back in the spring and bringing our daughter and son in law. read more

The scenery and land of this winery is amazing. I appreciate how you can sit down at a table u set umbrellas and enjoy your wine flights while taking in the scenery and the products from lotion to olive oil to jams to wine are amazing. Kind folks and we have had Chris twice now back in August and now September. He's knowledgeable, funny, helpful and kind. I like the choices of wine from sparkling to rose to Pinot noir. And personally I'm a fan of the Sonoma/Marin area wineries vs Napa because of these choices. And this time around we had the lavash choices. Yummy. read more

Looking for a beautiful hidden oasis that also provides unique wine pairings from olive oil to mustard? Then look no further than McAvoy Ranch, which provides everything from wine tastings to lunchtime bites set against a backdrop of the beautiful green hills that make up the border that is the area that is the Petaluma Gap. McEvoy Ranch was founded by the McEvoy family led by the late Nan McEvoy, whose family founded and previously owned the San Francisco Chronicle and son still runs Chronicle Books. When it began over thirty years ago as an organic olive oil farm, Nan McEvoy probably never could envision the impressive vineyard and tasting room that it has grown into today. A friend and I had wanted to enjoy the splendor of the wineries along the region that comprises the Sonoma and Marin county borders for quite some time and a chilly weekend in October provided the best opportunity to do as my friend went onto McEvoy Ranch's website and found out that they were offering a twenty-five dollar wine pairing with a selection of wines and mustards, both of which are processed right at their vast estate as well as a Bavarian pretzel in honor of Oktoberfest! Once we drove down their long private road to get to their tasting room, we were greeted with a pour of their 2020 Rosebud Rosé, which was one hundred percent Pinot Noir and with its slight acidity was reminiscent of a Rosé Champagne. From there, we sat out on their lovely patio overlooking their pond they have at their estate. Chris, our tasting room associate, told us for the Oktoberfest pairing, we had the option of ordering a glass of wine from their regular wine tasting menu or their Oktoberfest Flight, which featured four pre-selected wines that they felt would best pair with their new mustard collection. Since we were here to see which of the wines at McEvoy Ranch we loved the best, and Chris admitted he was a pretty heavy pourer, we opted for the Flight and we were not disappointed, as for 25 dollars we drank five wines that had a variety that was engaging all on their own with a food item as varied as mustard and pretzel bread. We began with their 2019 La Cruz Vineyard Chardonnay, sourced from nearby Keller Estates and was not too buttery as it encompassed a lot of fresh fruits on the nose. Our second pour, their 2018 Evening Standard Pinot Noir, whose name harkens back to their newspaper publishing days and is estate grown but mainly sourced from nearby Azaya Vineyards and had a fresh finish to it that made this wine a standout, especially when paired with their mustards. Our third pour was their 2018 Red Piano Syrah which was estate grown and named after the owner who won a contest that awarded them a piano from none other than Elton John and had more savory notes than the other wines. Our fourth pour was their 2019 Il Poggio Montepulciano, which is estate grown on rolling hills that are similar to that of the Tuscany region of Italy and is a rare light red wine that also has tannic notes after each sip. When paired with their three mustard samples that we presented with, each wine had a different appeal to it, as their Chardonnay mustard was a little lighter, their Sweet & Spicy became a personal favorite thanks to that extra kick, and their Jalapeño Whiskey was deceptively smooth. Although we were slightly disappointed to be a pretzel bread roll instead of an actual Bavarian Pretzel as the promotion promised, our taste buds were surprisingly excited to sample all three unique mustard varieties, so much so that we both purchased a jar of their Sweet & Spicy mustard inside their gift shop. We enjoyed ourselves so much so at McAvoy Ranch thanks to the wonderful customer service and hospitality we received that afternoon even after we had to move underneath their tent area when the rain started to come down that a mere two weeks later my friend and I were both back to take advantage of their end of year wine and gift sale that took place in their adjoining warehouse. This sale also featured a number of skin care products, candles, home goods and olive oil products that we couldn't resist. Also upon our second visit in a month to McAvoy Ranch we were there to take advantage of their Olive Oil Tasting, which for 25 dollars we were guided by Pamela who taught us how to smell, taste and savor no fewer than six different olive oils they sell at their estate alongside some fresh sourdough bread.
