Came here for dinner and unfortunately left pretty underwhelmed overall…read more The restaurant itself was clean, and service initially started off fine. When we first arrived, the restaurant was not busy. Only a couple other tables occupied, so expectations were fairly high for a smooth experience. Unfortunately, things quickly went downhill. The food took quite a while to come out despite how slow it was. When it finally did, it was first delivered to the wrong table before eventually making its way to us. The food runner then randomly grabbed a ranch from our table and brought it to another table. He seemed potentially new, but overall the service felt very disorganized and clueless, especially considering the restaurant wasn't busy. We ordered the cheese curds to start, and they were disappointing. The breading was mushy and extremely greasy, and the cheese itself tasted low quality rather than the fresh curds you'd expect at a Wisconsin pub. We also ordered several wing flavors since they were on special: garlic parm, buffalo, bourbon BBQ, and lemon pepper. One issue right away was the lack of flavor variety overall on the menu. The wings themselves were inconsistent. Sizes varied dramatically, which clearly affected the cook quality. Some were fried so hard they were like chewing leather, while others had soggy, undercooked skin. Flavor wise the buffalo were almost completely flavorless. The lemon pepper was extremely mild. The garlic parm was probably the best of the group, though still just average. The bourbon BBQ was rough. The sauce tasted like an overly sweet, overly salty cheap jarred glaze rather than an actual house-made BBQ sauce. My wife ordered the Mary Mac burger without a bun and was told extra lettuce leaves could be substituted to make it a lettuce wrap. Instead, it came out with just shredded lettuce. The burger itself was overcooked and lacking flavor. The fries were decent enough, but nothing memorable. Overall, this felt like a place with potential that just missed the mark on both execution and consistency during our visit.

Sad to have to make this review! We've been coming here for…read moreat least 4 years. The cod fish fry has always been great with excellent potato pancakes. Bartender Kayla, (owner's daughter) has always been pleasant. This past Sunday 9/28/25 we stopped in for a drink at 5:30 after attending a Celebration of Life for a friend. We got a chilly reception, seeing as they were closing soon we were told The KITCHEN was Closed! We both ordered a scotch and club soda. Both of us said it didn't taste right. They were very faint in color and taste. When we mentioned to the owner, she got defensive and claimed "I've never been accused of pouring a short drink!" We didn't say she did. She then took our drinks and poured them in the sink saying "We're Done Here!". My husband & I looked at each and said "Let's go." that's when the owner said "I Think So! We then left! I can't believe the way we were treated! To treat your customers with such Disregard! The scotch didn't look right or taste right. Could be that it sits in the window with the sun beating down on it everyday or possibly it's watered down? Don't know. What I DO KNOW is we won't be going back!

When we walked in, we were not greeted so we grabbed a table. Many minutes later, someone came over and asked if we were there to eat or drink or both. We told her we were mostly there to eat but a few beers would be needed for the over 21's. A couple of people on our party ordered wings and a someone had chicken fingers. Someone ordered a burger and someone else ordered a wrap. I had the French Dip and shared it with my daughter. The food was good; typical bar food. Prices are great. Drinks were cold. The bar is cute with a lot of history. Service was terrible... but that's okay, we weren't really expecting much.

Everything tasted so good, the wings were a spotlight, the Asian zing flavor was delicious, a nice spice level with a little sweetness. I highly recommend the up charge for sweet potato fries, they paired so well with the ranch. I will say it's a smaller space but they do have a more family friendly area that's not too close to the bar. Our waitress was super friendly and did so well staying attentive during a busy and seemingly short staffed shift.
