Service department is overpriced and underqualified! I recently took my boat in for repair of the…read moreoutdrive. When I arrived the service advisor wanted to check with the shop foreman to see if they would even consider working on it because of it's age (2008 model). He agreed and assured me they "specialized in Volvo". After a few days I received a text letting me know the estimate for diagnosing it would be $655.00. I called to speak to service advisor to understand why just diagnosing was so high. I asked what their hourly rate is and he told me they quote everything by the job and he would not budge on the price. Reluctantly, I let them proceed. After about a week, they texted with a repair estimate of $18K. I called to discuss again and the service advisor couldn't answer any of my questions so he sent me to the shop foreman again. He explained that a gear sheared a tooth in the upper unit and there is also metal shavings in the lower unit so they need to replace both. I asked about repairing vs replacing and he said they don't do that. We discussed multiple options of used units and sending out for a rebuild but he wasn't interested in any of those. Apparently, they only "specialize in Volvo" if its simple maintenance or easy parts replacement - actual mechanic work, not so much. The shop foreman was also a little rude and condescending. I was stuck with a $755 bill for diagnosis and shop supplies for a repair they weren't qualified/willing to complete. Never again... **Update** The Operations Manager saw this review and called me to discuss. He offered to refund my money BUT ONLY IF I removed this review. I guess customer satisfaction only matters to them when it's beneficial to them.

However two younger teens and an older female teen went in and out several times, the first time I was literally outside the door and they walked right by me. No adults in sight. Very unprofessional and no way to run a business. Will stick to the Savanah rapids pavilion to actually get service.

After paperwork, we were given life vests for the kids and brought to the edge of the river. We're then given tips on how to navigate, how long it'll take, good place to turn around if needed, and then we were helped into the water once on the kayak. I will admit I haven't kayaked ever, and only canoed when I was a preteen. It was safe to say your girl was rusty and completely inexperienced. Add a small child to your lap, and a mom was slightly terrified. We paddled along, albeit very slowly, and eventually we were close to the golf course. We also decided after we saw some people swimming on a bunch of little "sand bars" that it would make a great a pit stop too. My kids were happy to have some solid ground and the water felt really nice actually. We only went calf deep in the water, mostly the parts that were clear, but the people we saw were shoulder deep. I'm definitely not brave enough. In any case! We saw a bunch of turtles, tons of dragonflies, water bugs, a few birds (herons?), but no snakes or alligators/crocodiles thank goodness. We'd come back for sure! This place is definitely a hidden gem!
