Medium iced coffee in a small cup
Christi G.

This McDonald's location has always been the slowest fast food restaurant I've been to. The food is almost always just barely warm. Your order is either wrong entirely, example: you order three cheese burgers two of them you asked for NO pickles but ALL THREE have NO pickles. Or I've been given someone else's order. As most customers do I would assume, is they keep on going because most people are in drive thru so they get it QUICK and go. And the sweet tea! Anytime I've ordered it, it is either not sweet (which I don't mind) or it tastes nasty like they need to clean our their tea dispenser or something! And by the way you don't stick NEW EMPLOYEES on drive thru!! I would know this because I have worked at McDonald's twice before in my lifetime. IT'S NOT THAT HARD PEOPLE!!! And this part of my complaint applies to both this McDonald's location and McDonald's corporation overall. This morning 10/06/2025 I go through drive through and ordered a bacon cheese mcgriddle meal with a medium iced coffee. I get it and the drink, I'm like damn that's small I thought I ordered a medium. I look and see the yellow square with S fountain, teas, iced coffee and then it had the order sticker on it. I'm like what the heck I thought I said medium? So I park and go inside and was approached right away by Cecelia, which was nice, I just asked her confused "I thought I ordered a medium, this is small?" INSTANTLY I get attitude and she peels back the sticker and points at the white box with the M. I'm complaining because there was no reason to be so rude right off the bat, customer service no?? And also complaining in general because what the heck with the cup sizes? Why does it matter what type of drink you put in the cup they all measure the same! Waste of money.

Raw meat.

I don't even think that McDonald's here in Yerington deserves one star. My husband is very upset with McDonald's. His order has been wrong on multiple occasions and every time he has gone in to let them know that his order is incorrect, almost always he has gotten a reply with rudeness. No customer service these days? Today was the final strike. I am no longer going to be a customer for McDonald's here in Yerington. After waiting about 25 minutes in the Drive-Thru with my crying 3-month-old is understandable when times get busy and behind. What is not understandable is my raw meat in my cheeseburger. When I got home and I was halfway through my cheeseburger I realized that the taste I was tasting was not the bacon, it was the raw meat patty. I am a breastfeeding mother and what I eat affects my child as well, so not only am I going to have to deal with the issues of eating raw meat but now so is my child. I do not recommend ordering from this McDonald's.

A good mcchicken

This is definitely in the category of a hidden gem!…read more YTA (Yerington Theater for the Arts) manages this amazing old building that serves as the cultural center for the small farming community of Yerington. Inside this refurbished old grammar school is an amazing little cafe operated by YTA. I used to come to the cafe when I lived in Yerington and it was under different management. I am so happy to see that the Cafe has been revived under the capable management of Roy Enochson, the Executive Director of YTA. A friend and I decided to have lunch here recently. The Cafe is in the lobby area of the Theater and serves as a place to eat, an art gallery and a boutique for all sorts of arts and crafts most of which are locally made. The space is a bit like being in a favorite Auntie's parlor with little tables, comfy chairs and a visual cornucopia of treasures. My friend ordered the lunch special - butternut squash ravioli with a side salad. I ordered the Cafe Signature Salad - a lovely fresh blend of baby greens, apples, cheese, cranberries, candied walnuts all lightly dressed with a white balsamic vinaigrette. I also had a blood orange Italian Soda. The food was all tasty and fresh. Service was vey friendly, but the food was slow coming out. It was worth the wait. Our total bill for the two of us was under $20. While the portions were not huge, the meal was satisfying and the quality was excellent. This is a definite place to stop if you are in the area. It is a fabulous alternative to the fast food and casino coffee shops that are in the area.

The have freshly prepared paninis, smoothies, salads, and an assortment of sandwiches. I believe they also do daily specials of dishes that are not typically on the menu. Not many know this place has a Cafe inside, so you'll typically, especially during lunch, be able to sit and eat in relative peace. Which is a nice change of pace from other, full-fledge restaurants.

The inside of the store was pretty empty, as far as people go. As we were looking around we see items on a tray individually wrapped and thawing out, notice wrappers all over the floors, trash is dirty, the self serve area for sugar and cream was dirty, the tables were dirty, the store was just dirty. Our order was simple, with customizations, still simple. Venti vanilla latte extra hot, add toasted coconut syrup. Chai tea, extra hot no classic add toasted coconut syrup. The order came, decently quick and was wrong. The drink was barely warm and was missing toasted coconut syrup and was made with coconut milk. Simple fix. We stepped outside and enjoyed the outdoor seating. A few moments later, my son appeared out of nowhere and walked up on us. We forgot he had our location and joined us. He asked us what we thought of this Starbucks and asked for an honest opinion. I stated what I stated above. I interrupted and asked him if he wanted a cup of coffee before heading back to work. "Mom I don't have it in me to wait 30-45 minutes to get my drink and it'll be wrong anyways, where I'm going there's a Starbucks there, I'll grab my drink, thank you though," was his reply. Fell inline with what we were thinking for our mid day cup. We carried on an entire conversation about how this is the MOST STAFFED and THE DIRTIEST SB we had all ever seen! It was shocking. Drink was fixed, we carried on with our day, but decided to skip coffee there the next morning and drove to Reno to get our coffee instead since we were heading that way. Will I return: NO.. glad my son moved into Reno! Have had great customer service all over Fernley, with one other exception.. so happy he has a few SB's that are staffed, very clean, and get the orders correct where he moved.

* Perfect little caffeine pit stop! *…read more Caught this cute little spot early in the morning on our drive down to San Diego from Reno, and it completely made our day. If you love coffee that actually tastes like coffee (and not liquid sugar), this is your place. My Oat Milk Honey latte was delicious, and my husband's extra strong 4 shot sugar-free latte did exactly what it needed to do for the long drive ahead. The barista who assisted us was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home the second we walked in. The inside is so cozy and peaceful that we decided to stretch our legs and enjoy our drinks at the table rather than rushing back to the car. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're passing through!

The shop has some breakfast and lunch offerings as well as a few different baked goods. They also have a clean restroom for customers, as every good coffee shop should. Walker Coffee Company also has a gift store/fly fishing vibe with hats, shirts, cups, and fly fishing equipment. I also noticed a sign for fly fishing guide service. The shop was extremely clean and the staff very welcoming. This is a must stop when traveling through Walker! Their Summer hours are 7 days a week 7 am - 5pm.

First impressions? The interior is super cozy and nicely decorated. It almost feels like a little experience just walking in. I came here looking for a quiet spot to enjoy some coffee and catch up on homework, and the atmosphere was exactly what I was hoping for. They offer complimentary Wi-Fi, which I appreciated, although the connection was a little spotty. I kept getting kicked off the network in the middle of my assignments, which got a bit annoying. I ordered a large hot Cinnamon Bear, and WOW, they weren't kidding about the size. That thing was practically an extra large. The coffee itself was delicious, though. Not too sweet, not too bitter, just perfectly balanced. It had this smooth, rich cinnamon flavor that coated your tongue with every sip. Definitely the highlight of my visit. The pastries were a little underwhelming. I wish they had more savory options, but if you've got a sweet tooth, they have your usual muffins and scones. Nothing too fancy. I ended up ordering a ham, cheese, and jalapeño croissant, which unfortunately got forgotten about, but it was the girl's first day, so no harm done! Service felt a little socially awkward, but nothing that would keep me from coming back. Overall, I'd definitely give this place another visit, especially for studying. The atmosphere was comfortable, and that coffee genuinely felt like a warm hug in a cup.

With a view of the brilliant Walker Lake, and a nifty dragon, if the porch hadn't been 115 degrees we would have taken seats outside. Inside, there are plentiful tables, clean restrooms, cold drink coolers and air conditioning. You order at the counter, and they prepare your dish from scratch. This is not fast food, but after a ten or fifteen minute wait, our entrees arrived at our table. Husband had the Roman Caesar salad, so loaded with grilled chicken and bacon that he couldn't finish it all. Tasty dressing, crisp lettuce, cheese. What's not to love? I ordered the Japanese Rice Bowl, which came with grilled salmon over rice, field greens with sesame dressing and a nifty wasabi mayo drizzle. Wow, this quality entree was $22 but worth it! I am sure it would bring $30 if served on china with table service. Definitely worth a stop for this dish again. I will say the menu choices were limited for me because the tacos, bulgogi and nachos are only available in pork (which I cannot consume due to food sensitivities). However, many burger, chicken and fish dishes are available. It would have been nice to have the bulgogi beef I order in most Korean restaurants. But, I was super happy with my entree and experience here. Also, there was a private political gathering in the dining area that was wrapping up when we arrived. They appeared to have commandeered all of the tables, but we squeezed by and found one free spot in the corner. In these temperatures, we were glad to dine in the AC. This local business is obviously a community hub, and that's cool too.
