McDonald's in waupun wi. Giant pig sty with unfreindly employees. You can feel the hostility between them. Lol. Just wow.

Was just there for the first time in a long time. Still unprofessional and the hostility between employees was quite evident and still a dirty pig sty

This place is pretty good, aside from the sad portion sizes. I like the chicken mcnuggets.

I…read moredon't like to leave bad reviews based o one meal but what we ate here tonight made it so we will never come back. Everything was way too salty. We Both ordered the smokey molasses seared Pork chop and it should have been labeled as salted Crusted Pork chop. The pork chop itself was very tender. Mine was a little undercooked so my husband traded with me As his was medium done. They both tasted the same however, so salty we could not finish them and did not want to take them home. We both had garlic mashed potatoes. My husband and I had a disagreement if the potatoes were real or powdered . I voted for powdered because of an after taste whereas my husband thought the aftertaste was related to the garlic. Delivered to our table was a small loaf of garlic bread which was fresh and soft but not necessarily tasty. Next up was soup which we ordered differently. I had the French onion. This was Not a baked French onion but a salty beef broth with ample cooked onions. There seemed to be bits of melted cheese in the little cup making me think that at some time There was some French onion soup prepared with the cheese melted on top and what was left got dumped into the soup pot. My husband took the chowder. He took one bite and pushed it away. He said it was Horrible. I was reviewing everything so wanted a second opinion. I took a mouthful and agreed that it did not taste like any clam chowder I had ever eaten before. It was flavorless and bland. Between the two of us we may have eaten one of the 2 pork chops. I even tried to scrape the top of the pork chop off to reduce the salt but it did not work. On the plus we got there around 5 on a Friday evening and were able to get a table right away. Our waitress looked sad and like she was just going through the motions but she was adequate in refilling my husbands soda and getting our meal to us right away. The place filled up after we got there and there was Standing room only. That has to say something about the food or maybe the alcoholic drinks are good.

I'm sort of you like this place. But it was nothing special. The menu has a great variety. But none of the food i ordered what anything special. The homemade Mac and cheese, was noodles and premade cheese sauce. Should have went with a pain burger. The meat seemed to need more seasoning. Tried the baked fish as well, lacked seasoning as well. They are known for shake, but not listed on the paper menus. Lastly the portions are decent, got a basket of cheese curds and it was way too much to finish. Overall i would not recommend this place, unless you like plain food.

Hubby ordered the Juicy Lucy with fries and I ordered the guacamole burger with onion rings. We also ordered regular mixed beignets (1/2 powdered sugar and 1/2 cinnamon sugar) with chocolate sauce. Hubby's burger was seasoned appropriately but it resembled a meatball vs a patty. My burger looked great but that's where it ended...there was so much guacamole on it that when I cut it in half, guacamole went everywhere. It was overkill, honestly. I couldn't even pick it up to eat it. I had to use a knife and fork to eat it because it was a horrible mess. The onion rings were perfectly crispy and ketchup was the perfect accompaniment. We shared the beignets and my favorite was the powdered sugar ones and hubby's favorite were the cinnamon sugar. We both dipped in the chocolate sauce. Service was at the counter. She was very kind and patient as it was our first time to visit. We were the only patrons in the restaurant as it was early in the afternoon on the day before Thanksgiving. The bathrooms were very clean. Not sure if we'd return as it was about an hour from our house as we were traveling to family's in Illinois.

I was able to get out of work early on a Friday and make my way up there to beat the dinner rush. In addition to the Fisherman's Platter, which I got with potato pancakes, I ordered cheese nuggets. The cheese nuggets were not what I was hoping for. I wanted a nice crunchy breading, but instead they had the cornmeal-like breading that I can't stand on cheese curds because it doesn't get crunchy and retains too much grease. I ate some because I didn't want to waste all the money I spent on them, but I didn't finish them. If you want a large fish fry for a reasonable price given the amount of food ($20.95 as of 2/24/2023), the Fisherman's Platter is no joke. The meal consisted of six shrimp, four pieces of cod, four pieces of bluegill, two pieces of "perch", and three potato pancakes when you choose that for your side. The potato pancakes were not homemade, but that's not necessarily a problem. I appreciated getting three of them while most places would probably only give you two. The shrimp was very lightly breaded, almost to the point of not being breaded at all. It was a good contrast to the breading on all of the other items if you don't want everything heavily deep fried. The four pieces of cod were small and were probably the equivalent of two regular size pieces at most other restaurants. The bluegill where the greasiest of all the items and had more of a farm-raised taste than a fresh-out-of-the-lake taste. I put perch in quotations above because I believe this was pike, not truly perch, based on the size, shape, and flavor of the two large pieces. Not bad, but not the quality of yellow perch and not surprising since pike doesn't cost nearly as much as yellow perch. I thought the cod was the best of all the seafood on the plate. I'm not going to go back just for that, but if I happen to ever be out that way again on a Friday, I'd stop for the cod with potato pancakes and maybe pair them with the shrimp to get the contrast in texture. As a note, The Marsh Inn is cash only. They have an ATM with a $2.75 surcharge (as of 2/24/2023) for withdrawing.
