This brewery was worth the trip!…read more One of the few breweries in Wisconsin open on Monday and all the beers I tried were great! I literally tried them all throughout three flights. My favorites were "Toes in the Sand" Sour, "Perky Blonde" coffee blonde, and "Garczynski's Best" pilsner. Dog friendly and board games/cards and chalk for the kids available. I seen a giant pretzel made, but other than that and bags of chips no food. They also have a cooler with sodas and non-alcoholic drinks available

I am sure this would be a great place to visit in summer, where the great looking patio can be enjoyed. I got to wear the big hat! One suggestion I'd make is to make the ordering area a regular bar with stools (with an "order here" sign on either end for people not sitting at the bar) letting people socialize with the bartenders a little more easily like in most taprooms. Otherwise, we had a good time.

Weirdest name for a restaurant with some of the best food in town!…read more I've been to Mother's Day Restaurant a few times now, as I frequently travel to this area. What a great place! When you walk in, you are truly walking in to a family diner that oozes of home cooked goodness. Food cooked to order that is delicious every single time. My personal favorite, as I've been there for lunch a few times, is the BLT. Sounds simple, right? I love a good BLT. Simple by design yet some places still manage to screw it up. Not Mother's Day. They got it right on target. Perfectly toasted bread. Crispy crunch salty bacon-y bacon. Crisp fresh lettuce and a perfectly ripe tomato to balance it all out. Can you taste it? I want it.....now! The servers at Mother's Day are about the friendliest group of people you will ever encounter in your life. Guaranteed. Anyone that says any different needs to look in the mirror. Always attentive, friendly and helpful. When you walk in, you'll notice the bakery case. Pastries, cakes, pies....whatever is fresh and in house that day. On my last visit, I noticed the carrot cake in the case. So I asked about it and was assured that it was incredible. Well, good luck cramming down a piece of anything after you finish your meal at Mother's Day. Did you say, to-go? I'm listening.... They sold me on the carrot cake and guaranteed that it was amazing. So, later that evening, I confirmed their words and that carrot cake, was in fact........AMAZING! Would I go back? There's not a lot in this particular area in Horicon, WI. But that's the beauty and the secret of Mother's Day. You don't need anywhere else. You could put 2 or 3 fast food junk chain restaurants all on the same block and I'd never even notice them, fully knowing that there is a gem of a restaurant called Mother's Day just waiting to serve up some delicious home cooked food.
