They had the big online ordering screen, but he wanted to talk to someone so he approached the counter and ordered. Most of the people here spoke Spanish, so I was going to intervene and help, but they were able to understand him. He got a cheese bacon biscuit combo with hashbrowns and a coffee. It works on road trips. This is a clean location. That alone means something. There are some fast food restaurants that aren't, and they aren't a pleasant spot. Here you'll like the proper atmosphere, and the very friendly employees. They definitely do well, and also are focused on getting orders right. Had breakfast again. The pancakes with sausage is my jam. Along with their tasty coffee, that's a way to start your day out. This one isn't crazy busy either. We all need time to chill out here and there. Went to window for 2 1$ drinks. Verified sign read 'All sizes 1$'. At window our bill was $2.95. We protested- McD "They went up 2 weeks ago". Us. First off to start my review I would like to say that it is false advertisement of the benefits that they give employees. They offer Direct deposit, but don't tell you that you have to be a manager in order to get it. You will get hired as full-time, but will work as part time due to them cutting lots of the employees hours. You see Manager's that are working that are wearing sweatpants. They offer a discount for family and employees, but cannot find a key on the register from over hearing the employees complaining. It says they offer health benefits but give you no information on it. Employees that are hurt on the job are sent home early days that they work. Over scheduling employees. Managers always on their phones not work related but telling lower level employees they must get off the phone. Managers wearing earbuds. Managers cursing every time I'm in the restaurant. Favoritism is shown towards Hispanic employees and not other races. Hispanic managers and employees gossip and laugh and joke while food isn't being made. Managers can eat food right out the tray warmers while on the floor, as you can see me zooming in at the counter waiting on my food while she/ He's eating. The soda machines aren't broken down everyday and sanitized properly so there is fungus and bacteria on them. The grease for the fries most of the time is burnt and old. Employees not changing their clothes or washing their hands. Etc... Etc... It just goes on in this place. Always parking cars to get some type of timing in instead of getting peoples orders correct and on time. It's like a game to them. There's always 2-3 people at the second window laughing and joking while waiting on food to be passed out. Can't ever understand the Hispanic people who take my order and my food is always incorrect. The lady manager that's Hispanic as always rushing me to finish. Employees have no heat at the window but a little space heater. They never have change like Pennie's or quarters so you get a handful of nickels and dimes. read more

If I could give this restaurant a Zero star I would. This place had the rudest customer service (watch out for the old lady without a neck and the manager that does not understanding anything). The employees don't seem to understand anything and when corrected throws a fit like a child and calls for the manager as if they were their mother. So I recommend that new employment be done by firing the whole staff and hiring competent workers that will understand a simple order. This is a very modern McDonalds, it has 6 kiosks to order food if the lines are too long. The cashier area is a bit small and can get a little crowded. Also has some computer terminals for the kiddos to explore. Good service and clean bathrooms. read more

In lieu of the change to the 2 for $5, there some items that aren't included With that being said, when I asked for an explanation for what can be ordered, the so called response I got from Garett was a smirk and neither much of a concrete answer, nor helpful one at that. Basically, I had to shuffle around combinations of orders that were deemed "right" without much of an initiative from the very cashier who could have gave me an example of what I can pick instead of just standing there a condescending smile plastered on his face. In that case, do continue to use an employee who hangs around with a sloth like and rude demeanor. If that is how this branch intends to represent themselves, I don't myself see coming back in the future. read more

Your standard Mickey D's, I love the fish sandwich here. Nothing special to say about the hamburgers. I think the fries are better here than Wendy's or Burger King. I like the breakfast here. The breakfast burritto and the Sausage McMuffin with Egg go great with a large coffee. Service is always kind of slow, especially in the drive through line. read more

We absolutely loved this McDonalds. The people were so friendly and took pride in keeping it clean. There were two different groups of senior citizens hanging out eating their breakfast and chatting. Balloons were hung up all over and the seating is like a maze. The bathrooms were spotless. read more

Horrible customer service. I order through the mobile app two to three times per week, and have never had any issues until the last two weeks. Must be a new Management issue. Today I noticed that 15 cars went through the drive-thru, ordered, and received their food, AFTER I had indicated that I was there...and I still did not have my food. Order is almost always right, I can handle a mistake once in a while but it's rare and the staff on duty makes corrections and apologizes as a reputable business should. at around 11pm i stopped at the drive thru to get a late night snack and the worker were very nice and my food came out very quickly. they also had just run out of the strawberry and cream pies and i ordered one so they gave me an apple one and a cookie. read more

I live in the Thurmont area. There are a handful of fast food establishments around but this McDonalds is hands down the best. Employees are always friendly and the service is fast. Sometimes the drive thru line is long but they move through quickly. read more

SKIP this one! Today was our last visit to this one. We frequently make a trip from D.C. to PA to drop our dog off at friends and Sherman loves getting a plain burger on the trip. We always get the food to go, eat in the parking lot as to not kill Sherman by leaving them in the car. Well today they told me I'm not eligible for a refill on my soda bc I'm not sitting inside. Either set up some signs or outdoor spaces but we are done with this one as they're are plenty of better ones on the way. out of the McDonald's that I have been too, I would say this is the worse one I have ever gave my buiness too! the last two times I have been there I got told rudely that I can't sit my 19 month old down on the counter due to sanitary... When you order 1 happy meal and 4 value meals and drinks you would assume that getting your 5 drinks would not be a issue well for this McDonald's it was. I got ripped off of a sweet tea. My entire experience there was horrible pulling up to the window ordering the rep asked if I wanted any sauce I did not ordered nuggets so she had to correct that. 2.When I pull to the window the girls is to busy on her cell phone to turn around so I pulled to the next window than finally she realized I was at the next window and she comes up and gets my payment. 3.Rep hands my bags and as I was checking through the bags I noticed I had a missed sandwich and fry I had to ask for that and than after checking screen and they checked my bag sure enough the agreed it was missing. They corrected that. 4.rep hands me our drinks he gave me 4 drinks however 1 goes to my kids happy meal and is orange soda not sweet tea that I ordered her. I than say I didn't get the other sweet tea. He checks his screen and says I gave you 4 drinks. By this point I'm getting upset. I say no you didn't complete the order I explained the drinks and he says I'll get my manger.. OMG!!! The manger comes up says with a smug smile without any chance of explanation of what I have received and what I-haven't it's $1.06 !!! seriously I can't believe the poor service and stupidity of the staff on there today usually this McDonald's has Terrific and courteous service. Drive Thru service ordering fast getting. what you ordered what you get is another thing and is slower than molasses in February on a up hill. One car at drive thru picking up apparently they had order problems too. Food back went back and forth 3 times. I ordered 1 Bid Mac 1 10pc Mc nugget 2 money mustard and two small fries. Got handed 1 quarter pounder w/ cheese 1 10pc Mc Nugget 1 medium fries. Front end manager came to window and I tried to tell her what I ordered and had window slammed in my face. They tried to hand me a bag again with same items as before . I left and will go to Emmitsburg 8 miles away if I want true McDonald food and service I have known for 50 years.
