when you order food, you should get what you pay for my large fry was halfway full. My was thrown together box upside down my ranch snack wraps pretty much have chicken on any lettuce hardly any cheese. The fries were old and I had to sit for the crispy to get done cooking. This place is the opposite of fast food. Every time I come here, I am told to pull over to the drive through parking as nothing is ever ready. Defeats the purpose in my opinion. April 17, 2026 - I placed a mobile order for an Oreo McFlurry amongst other items. When I got to the pick up window I was lied to about them being out of Oreos, the same worker (Chyna/China) offered an M&M McFlurry instead. I elected to have the McFlurry taken off the order, but was told by the same worker that I would have to go inside to do so because they were short staffed. Once inside it took quite a bit of time for someone to notice and help me with the refund. Another worker mistakenly refunded the entire order, but did not tell us that it was the whole order, not just the McFlurry. I continued to wait for my food at the counter, all the while I can see the bag of food and happy meal sitting in the waiting area behind the counter and no one is acknowledging us waiting. After waiting at the counter and not being approached again for our food for almost 10 minutes, we got in the line and spoke with a third worker and explained the situation above, to which she said "we aren't out of Oreos". I give her the receipt and she begins inquiring why we were told they are out of Oreos and comes back to offer to get us one. At this point, we say we would just like the rest of our food and to go. As she is looking for the food, the second worker steps up and says "no he was refunded for the whole order" as if we had known that this whole time. I walked away without the food, drink, or McFlurry. All of this would have been avoided had the first worker possessed a molecule of professionalism. read more

This makes three times in a row they have either gotten my order wrong or completely left something out. I order through the app and they still get it wrong or miss something. Why is there not an option in the app to report messed up orders? I never have an issue with the cape carteret or atlantic beach locations but the Swansboro location is TERRIBLE. Shut it down or hire new staff because the people there aren't smart enough to include the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit in a bacon egg and cheese biscuit meal. It's ridiculous. read more

We dined in around 6:30pm and I tried to place an order at the counter and was ignored so I used the order booth. The food took over 30 minutes and all of the tables were dirty. Terrible customer service, stood at the counter over 10 minutes because there was hair in my ice cream and nobody would acknowledge that I was standing there waiting. I threw it away and left. The ambiance is very immature and child like, the staff joke and talk the whole time ignoring people who are dining in and only care about the drive through. read more

I don't eat fast food often . I've been to this McDonald's maybe twice in a year . Both times my simple order was messed up. They either struggle with small customer request or they just ignore the customer's request all together. It's sad that some people these days take zero pride in their work , regardless of what their job is. From the reviews it looks like they obviously have bad management My recommendation is to save your money and go elsewhere. I only have them 2 stars because the fries were hot and fresh. read more

So I placed a mobile order... tell me why after being told to pull up to the 1st window the b opens the window mumbles "bye" then slams it shut... I used the mobile app for my order, as I do every time I come here. I pulled up to the drive-thru to give them my order number, and I waited at least a minute for someone to speak to me. When I got to the window I was told to pull forward and wait for my order, mind you I had a very basic order. I waited over 5 minutes for them to bring out my food. When I got my food I was shocked that they let this get served to a customer. Both McMuffins were burnt and hard as bricks. I usually don't write reviews, as a matter of fact I hate writing reviews but this is absolutely ridiculous. For the concerned consumer, the management here forces employees to work when they are sick. Pretty sure no one wants to get sick from employees' handling of food. As a food service employee myself, I understand the dangers of handling customers' food and never work when I have an illness that may be transferred to them.
