Its a McDonalds which is like all of the other McDonalds. It's the consistency that makes them successful. The staff is friendly I guess, there is really no staff up front as you order from a kiosk and they bring the food out. The food is as good as any other McDonald's that you've ever been to. The restaurant is very clean and bright and I always feel welcomed. read more

There's some seriously bad reviews here about horrible service, screwed up mobile orders, and overall bad food. Good to know as I've only dropped in here a few times to use the drive-thru to pick up some hot coffee in the morning while doing some supermarket shopping for family. Can't recall any problems as its hard to mess up a cup of hot coffee, a few creamers and sugar packets. Drive- thru service was ok by me. read more

Ate inside for the first time in over a decade and it was very clean! Staff was great despite mostly being replaced by screens and automation. The manager checked on me three times to make sure I didn't need anything else. The Kpop Demon Hunters Huntr/x meal was surprisingly great! I got it again and will probably get more before it's gone! Prices are rough, definitely look for coupons! read more

I placed an order inside the kiosk at 830am and didn't get my order until 842am. There are no lines outside the drive thru and it's not really busy. The staff in the back talked a lot. And no one was at front to greet you or to let you know that they're working on your order. Food is like any McDonald's. I got a sandwich and a hash brown. Not a fastfood place I would recommend or go back to. Place is clean, even the bathroom. Just unacceptable if you're running the biggest name in the fastfood industry. read more

It sounds like you are in a factory when eating inside, nothing but loud annoying noises. Ordering food on the terminal is horrible. McDonald's has changed for the worse, will not be going back. read more

Service after 10 is ridiculous. I waited 15 minutes to pick up an UberEats order. Not one person came to the pick up are to see which orders I was picking up. I went to the drive through and the lady talking through the drive-through speaker was mean and nasty telling me I had to wait in the pick up area and when I tried to explain to her that I was already there for 10 minutes she told me well that's where I have to wait unfortunately there's no reason when it's slow that an employee can't come up to the delivery pick up window and at least see what orders we have. I should not have to wait 15 minutes for a simple order. This has been an issue every time I pick up at this McDonald's there needs to be a better system. read more

Stopped in to try their new $5.00 meal today. Was pleasantly surprised with the new renovations and reworked drive thru area. I used their app to place my order and although the staff were friendly the order left something to be desired. I got a small bag of fries that were half cooked and half filled. The nuggets were cold and the drink was 2/3's fill of ice with about four sips of soda. At least the dbl burger was warm. Asked for cream for a coffee which was not in the bag. Drove to work and could not return and speak with mgmt regarding my order. The restaurant was busy so maybe the staff were overwhelmed but if this type of service continues it won't remain busy very much longer. read more

The dirtiest filthiest food from any McDonald's, I don't recommend going here or getting food for your kids here. Disgusting. Service is awful and creepy af. read more

Never have I had such a tough time ordering food from McDonalds. I was out walking my dog around 11:58pm when I placed my order. I walked through the drive through and was met by a tall Caucasian male employee at the drive through pick up booth and he asked "can I help you?" in a questionable way. I showed him my order, he even took my phone to show someone inside and said they don't have my order when I have already been charged. He then basically told me too bad and to file for a refund. I left and went out front to see how I could do that. I did not see an option in app and returned to ask what I should do. I was again met by the tall Caucasian male and his shorter Hispanic appearing colleague. They again refused to look at any proof that the order had been made and asked me to leave. What the hell? I had order an order confirmation that was in app and sitting in my email. How hard is it to fill an order of fries and a double hamburger totaling $3.14? They basically told me I wouldn't be served and to just wait until I was refunded in 24 hours. The service by this place is unreal, I will be filing a complaint with the franchise. The treatment I received here was subpar at best and felt somewhat discriminatory. I don't know if this treatment was because I am Asian? or is walking up to a drive through strange? I was out walking my dog ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ edit: I called them afterward and was told the employee that I interacted with is named Matthew not sure if that's true read more

We did McDonalds for dinner last night. Oh the french fries are the BEST!!! We dod curbside pickup and it worked really really well. I am timid about trying new things because of Covid but I felt safe. The big mac was so so but not great. But the overall experience was excellent. I do recommend this McDonalds for curbside pickup. read more

This place uses kiosk over a cashier. Therefore, I can only2 stars. Food is good, they always ask about service but without using a cashier I have to ask what service. They also ask about atmosphere where the atmosphere feels and looks like a sad college students dorm room Or cafeteria read more

I'm not a huge fan of fast food but occasionally I do get it when I'm on the run. I Drove thru McDonald's and they had photos of these New cheesy Fries With Bacon that looked amazing . Enough said of course I had to ordered it. I must say I was a little disappointed with the way it was prepared. It lacked cheese so the bacon fell to the bottom. FYI Don't eat your fries while driving a fork is required read more

Easily one of the worst drive thru experiences I consistently have. It's like everyone is on their first day working. It's as if they are still trying to figure out how to do a drive thru properly for the first time in 2024. Perhaps it's them being forced to use this new building concept? Ultimately, it makes me hate McDonald's. read more

We went here for the first time since it re-opened and we were very impressed. The food was obviously freshly made. We don't like ordering on the kiosks but had no problem going to the register. (Some places REALLY push the kiosks.) The manager was such a nice guy. He came over and took our trays after we were done eating so we could keep talking with a clear table. We joked that we wouldn't stay too long and he said to stay as long as we wanted. The restrooms were clean. There are different 5-star standards for fast food versus full service, and this was a really nice McDonalds. We will be back. read more

Went to this Mcdonald's drive thru after a 12 hour shift at the Children's hospital. The cashier asked if I wanted to round up my total to donate to Ronald Mcdonald House. I politely declined because I knew I only had enough for my meal. As I got to the window, she looked at me in my uniform and and said "you work with children and don't even care enough to donate". Needless to say I'll be speaking with her manager and corporate. I will never go to McDonald's again. read more

I really like this Micky D's! Service is always friendly, they never give you a hard time about extra sauce....does anyone else ever get that? McDonald's - Fast Food Near Me - Stony Brook, New York

Excellent location close to SBU campus I come here very often when I run out of dining dollars always very fast.

Place is total dog shit. One of the worst fast food joints ever. They are never opened on time and when they are they don't have the full breakfast menu. Forget about lunch. Literally takes less time to slaughter the cow, butcher it, and ship the carcass then it does for them to put a burger in a bag. Put it this way, the place has 4 ...4!!! spots for drivethru customers to pull ahead to and park cause that's how slow they are at in putting burgers in a bag. At that point I may as well park and dine inside. They suck. Go to Burger King down the street. read more

Yet again I am here again since I live conveniently close but I realized why I didn't like this McDonald's when i ordered a Mc double with one less patty but then my friend decided he wanted the patty so he asked for them to put it on the side which doesn't seem confusing to understand but when I got my burger there was absolutely no meat on it leaving only cheese pickles and a glob of chopped onions in one spot. It's not hard to spread out the topping for sandwiches and get orders right so if you guys can work on that aspect maybe you would get higher reviews but I still love McDonald's for the taste. read more

A flagship McDonald's, and they are doing food in the right way. Best Fast food restaurant in town, plenty of room for both customers and cars. Fine decorated, with outdoor seats. There is even a bar room with a Mr. Moon robot. They also have a 10% discount for students from Stony Brook. read more

Just finished eating my meal with the wife and kids. I ordered 2 double quarter pounder meals and 2 sausage egg and cheese McGriddles. I received 2 cheese burgers instead of the McGriddles. That's a damn shame considering how great the night was going and I paid for the damn McGriddles. It really sucks when customer service and attention to detail falls to the wait line. My suggestion is go to any other McDonald's if you have a choice which YOU DO have a choice! read more

Went to get food here walk in to a young kid on the register. 3 managers packaging food at the same time not one would jump on the register to help out. The kid had a issue with take out and stay in one manager gave him the biggest attitude. The kid finally found his own mistake and fixed it. Just no need for 3 managers to do the same job and not help out. I hope they learn better managing in the future. read more

Like many places in the neighborhood, the college is one of the reasons it sees so much traffic. Is it good as far Micky D's go? Sure.

Lol wtf? This is McDonalds? Do you really expect authentic American cuisine here? Wake up! This is a fast food joint. You have to lower your standards here. For a McDonalds, they are not bad. In fact, I think they're the best around. They will even give you a 10% discount if you are a student. It is really nice for a McDonalds. At least for this McDonalds, you can guarantee that your food is just food. It is not contaminated with horse semen, shit, or any other type of contaminant. Not once was there traces of semen or insects or anything else in my food so the food is definitely very clean for a McDonalds. So I give this McDonalds a five star!! And for you haters, I would like to ask you something. How would your experience be any different from any other McDonalds? read more

Mickie D's...hmm I should've wrote this review years ago!!! Like, when I was in high school because I've been going to this Mickie D's for over 20 years! It's one of my two go to locations (the other being in Coram) for my fatty cravings. I used to go here all the time and order the Arch Deluxe which I thought was the best burger that McDs has ever had. There pretty standard as far as McDonald's goes and now they're open 24 hours. Even better!!! It's conveniently located on 347 and easy in + easy out. THIS has been a review by Gaurav read more

I've been a longtime patron of this McDonald's, and have had great experiences every time. I typically visit late-night with my girlfriend, when we have a hankering for cones or fries (or both!) The drive-thru device is pretty audio-responsive, and the line moves rather quickly. The food is completely standard McD's (which is a testament to their homogeneity), and pricing is identical too. The aspect which makes this particular venue shine is its service; the late-night staff has a great sense of humor and is very accommodating. I've enjoyed casual small-talk with them, and occasionally gotten larger portion sizes for fries and whatnot. Overall, this McD's is a gem compared to its peers! read more

McDonald is horrible, the workers were terribly rude and we got hash browns and the butter exploded all over them and my kid has allergy's which I called about and they did not care which could have led to her throat closing but thankfully I caught the butter on it in time. I arrived at the restaurant drive through prior to closing, waited for 25 minutes to finally be in position to order at 205 am to be told that I'm too late that they closed 5 minutes ago. I explained to the very young sounding kid that I had been waiting for a very long time and I hadn't just pulled up to order. I was told that there's nothing they can do because they shut the grill off. I asked how it was appropriate to do that as there wasn't any change that the crew was unaware that there was a line of cars out to the road waiting for 20+ minutes to order. I was again told that they won't be taking my order because they are closed. I am one of no less than 10 orders that were not take because the night crew decided that it was time to stop working. I get it, it's late, but I'm sure if there franchise owner found out how much money was turned away they wouldn't be particularly happy. I definitely won't be going back to this location at night again. Unfortunately I work 24 hour shifts and can't be particularly choosy at this time of night, but I'll go out of my way to go to a different restaurant next time I am in this situation. Poor performance, and poor judgement. read more
