I would give negative stars if I could! HORRIBLE treatment! I have never been treated so poorly or been so embarrassed to buy food at McDonalds until today and I will NEVER buy from any McDonald's again! We rarely eat the crap food anyways but I have 8 guys & 5 kids in Steamboat for a roofing job we're doing. I was trying to feed my crew quickly and waited in the drive through for 10 minutes after paying $100 for 12 breakfast sandwiches, hash browns & a few drinks. I checked the food and found that 3 McMuffins & 2 hash browns were missing so I went inside and was met by a very rude young man (wish I got his name!) who looked at me and spoke to me as though I were lying and trying to steal more food. I was not happy about this after spending $100 on their trash food anyways, but I maintained my polite demeanor and went and got the receipt from my car (because they apparently couldn't check their own system or remembered that I had just been there). I was walking out and another employee pushed a metal cart with boxes right in front of me in the only path to the exit door, I was trying to maneuver around it and he pushed the cart into my leg, I hit my knee hard on the metal cart & fell into the boxes. No one offered help, asked if I was okay, they did not move the cart out of the way or anything and the employee laughed as I grabbed my knee in pain. By now, I am livid! I just walked out to my car, collected my receipt & went back in. The cart was still in the way, blocking the walkway, I proceeded to go around this time as other people had moved out of the only other access point. The young man at the counter, again, gave me the same rude sarcastic looks & proceeded to question me multiple times about how many sandwiches I was missing etc. as though my "story" would change. I told the young man, "I really was shorted on my order, the food I paid for, and I don't appreciate being treated as though I'm trying to steal from McDonald's." He proceeded to roll his eyes and walk away from me mumbling something under his breath. They gave me the additional 3 sandwiches & 2 hash browns and the man once again treated me as though I was stealing the food and being dishonest. Not that I would ever go around announcing it to anyone, but I do very well financially, I have zero need nor desire to steal food from anywhere, certainly not McDonald's!
I was honestly much too concerned that the employee(s) did something to our food so after this experience it went in the trash anyways, sadly, I hate being wasteful but I was genuinely concerned that they had done something hateful to the food they had to give me after failing to provide our full order the first time. The look on the guy's face when he handed the new bag of food to me, it was very concerning, and my intuition was screaming at me to not feed that to my kids or roofing crew. Only after leaving did I discover that they also failed to give us all of our drinks; by the time I realized that though, I was not going back inside to subject myself to more mistreatment and unprofessional, disgraceful treatment I received in this McDonald's. I have never written a negative review like this, I would normally not even mention something but the way I was treated and embarrassed inside this place this morning and most of all, the new injury to my knee, was enough to send me over the edge. I am not going to allow this to happen and say nothing! What if I were an elderly woman and that happened? I could have been seriously injured and I was injured badly enough as it is! Not to mention, that employee should be forced to take some etiquette and professionalism classes. Clearly some of our younger generations need lessons in manners and being professional. I hope something is done because this is ridiculous! I will be contacting corporate. read more
