Visiting Steamboat Springs for a week from California, you know how happy I was that there was a Starbucks in town!! We must've frequented this place either inside or via drive thru at least 5 or 7 times this past week to get our caffiene and sugar fix. I love how big the interior is. Different places to lounge. Either at the high top tables, couches, chairs, or elsewhere. It's definitely a good place to chill and get away from the elements. They have a drive thru here for those not wanting to get out of their vehicles. The parking lot is very limited and hard to get in and out as people were interchangeably using the enter side to exit and the exit side to enter. So it can get a little harrowing. But it's worth the sacrifice to get my overpriced caffiene drinks. Minus one star because they (one of the workers there) cheated us out of a special they were running that day. It was supposed to be 4 drinks for $20. So when we went, they charged us full price, saying that the promotion was the next day. Even though it clearly said it was for that day. But the next day,when we went back, we had it rectified as they didn't charge us for a drink we ordered. But it's like..... the lost of money from the promotion isn't coming out of your pocket. So why not be honest? Money comes and goes, but that bad experience will stay with me. read more

This Isn't a Café, It's a Black Hole If I could give negative stars, I would. This Starbucks is the poster child for inefficiency. I walked in expecting a simple cup of coffee, but instead, I entered a vortex of chaos and incompetence. It took them 30 MINUTES to make my drink--yes, thirty minutes for a basic order that should take all of 90 seconds. I watched as baristas stumbled around like lost souls, chatting aimlessly. At one point, three employees stood together discussing something that was clearly NOT drink-related while the line wrapped around the building like a depressing monument to wasted time. To make it worse, when I finally asked about my drink, the barista acted like I was the problem, saying, "We're really busy." Busy? BUSY?! This is your entire job! Making coffee is literally the reason you're here. If you can't handle a rush, why even open the doors? And don't get me started on the store itself--it was filthy. Trash cans were overflowing, counters were sticky, and the condiment bar looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the Clinton administration. Starbucks corporate, if you're reading this, SHUT THIS LOCATION DOWN. If I wanted to waste half my day being ignored, I'd call my ex. Never again. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

This location has a drive thru. Fast service and sweet staff - they made my drink perfectly, which if you knew how specific of an order it is you'd understand why I'm so happy they actually made it right! There's also an area inside you can sit and do some work if needed. read more

This is a fantastically run Starbucks that is ultra convenient for those looking to relax in-store or grab a latte to-go via the drive-thru. The drive-thru is an added bonus to this location. If you are looking to relax inside, this location has tons of seating choices with convenient outlets scattered throughout the store for those looking to plug-in for more than a few minutes. All of my interactions with store employees were so pleasant. I made sure to stop by most mornings during my stay in Steamboat Springs! Definitely a better option than the faux Starbucks located in the adjacent grocery store! read more

I would give it 5 stars for all of their wonderful, friendly employees and delicious coffee, except for the one rude guy employee this morning who admonished me to put my mask over my nose. Was very disappointed when I went to my LOCAL Starbucks Drivethru this afternoon. I ordered an iced drink, was given a hot one, then instead making it right both baristas gave me attitude. When I was finally handed the correct drink, after many under the breath comments, "Bethany" a different barista then informed me quite demeaningly that "I definitively ordered it hot". Just to clarify my drink was a special ICED TEA. As someone who has lived here for 18 years and been a near daily customer, I am appalled by the way the staff treated me over a simple fix. Would also like to put out there the first barista was the manager "Wendy". Very disappointed. read more

Not overly impressed with this location. I came yesterday 15 minutes before closing and they wouldn't serve me. Came back the next morning and the charge me extra for additional micha pumps...something that I've never experienced at other locations for the past 12 years. read more

Actually had a a cashier here make a very loud remark to his coworkers complaining that I didn't tip. I forgot my wallet (which I even mentioned when I asked if they accepted Apple Pay) and had to pay with Apple Pay, which doesn't prompt for a tip amount. Apparently he thought I was just being cheap and decided to make a loud remark looking right at me. When I looked back at him, he grinned and said "sorry". I nearly always tip service folks, but after this experience I was glad I didn't this time. Imagine if I had tipped this guy not realizing what a jerk he is. read more

I ordered at the drive thru and when I got to the window, the staff member acted very "put off" that I had not mentioned I was redeeming my birthday drink. She basically scolded me for not telling her when I ordered (I don't work at Starbucks... how was I supposed to know?) and once that was settled she didn't say anything. Not "have a good day" or even "happy birthday" since I was getting my birthday drink. Not only that, but when I got home and opened my drink to let it cool off, they didn't even fill it to the top. I love this Starbucks. It's large and fast and has a drive thru. On Christmas I was in a rush trying to get dinner cooked but really wanted a special treat so I asked the barista what the best frapachino was and she gave a great recommendation and then gave me a drink on the house when I got to the drive thru window. The next day I went back to get a little time away from the family and everyone was so nice. The inside was clean and there was plenty of seating even when the rush came in. I wish I lived closer so I could make this Starbucks mine all the time. read more

This location was easy to find and easy to get to. There's plenty of parking nearby however the parking lot entrance is not wide enough for two cars to pass through. Inside is very big with a lot of tables. They have a full variety of mugs, water bottles and coffee in bags. The employee who took my order was very pleasant and even properly repeated my order. She was very patient as my Starbucks app wasn't working properly. I didn't wait long to get my drink but the barista didn't properly repeat my drink and got an attitude when I asked about it. She then turned and looked at me like I was dumb because I asked about my drink again. So she just repeated my name again as if that was the answer to my question - which it was not. She had no patience and was very rude. I only wanted to ensure I had the correct drink. They weren't even busy and had plenty of people working. Very disappointed in her attitude. After reaching the window, I asked the girl if I could have 2 Splenda in my coffee because I forgot. She repeated back my other coffee and said you want Splenda in your other coffee? I said yes in my coffee too. She gave me a rude look and continued on. When our coffees were given to us an employee or manager popped he is head through the window and asked if next time I could request Splenda when ordering. Really man. But I will say this; the Starbucks on Angler's in Steamboat Springs Colorado has the best staff out of any coffee shop I've ever been to. This location's staff embodies what those of us that call Steamboat home love about this community; and they consistently share it with those that visit. Keep up the good work, guys. read more

Avoid going here when you really need coffee. So avoid from 6-10am and from 1-4pm.... way way way way to busy, you can spend 20 minutes in line order ahead of time and wait for 10-20 minutes or you can be really screwed and walk up and order. I am currently a partner and normal I would not write a review as I know the challenges of being a partner. However, while I entered this store I was not greeted. I also had to wait 20 minutes for 2 drinks. Everyone in the cafe also had to wait at least 20 minutes. When a customer asked if a drink was hers the barista said "if it has your name on it it's yours". When i went to get my drinks, I watched the barista not fill up my venti chai all the way. So disappointed in this location after today. I placed a mobile order due to having to run in because I had both of my kids with me who are under the age of two. I placed the order and waited over 20 mins for my mobile order when the app stated 10-15 before it would be done. I ended up having to leave without my drink and waste my money. Thankful they have a great staff but unfortunately they are way under staff for how busy they are. I love this Starbucks and I usually get great customer service. Unfortunately one bad employee can make things super uncomfortable. I should have gotten his name last time, but didn't think about it. There has been three different occurrences where I have had him be rude and condescending with me. I usually stop by after work at around 7 to grab a hot drink so I'm not freezing on my way home, however I think I'm going to just stop by City Market to go to Starbucks for a while so that my bad days aren't made worse by Starbucks guy who hates his job. I just tried to order at the Starbucks drive through fifteen minutes before the posted closing time of 9:00 p.m. A recording came on that said the store was closed. Then a woman's voice said, "Sorry guys, we are closed for the night." When I questioned why they were closing earlier than their posted hours, she said that they don't have control over when they close; the machines just "shut off." It sounded suspiciously like someone wanted to go home early on a Friday evening. I stopped in your Steamboat Springs store this morning. I ordered a coffee and 2 sausage muffins. The "customer service" individual told me "No can do on the food. The only thing we have left is (one of the breakfasts - I don't remember which)". This made the last item available sound as appealing as a year old hot dog at a Truck Stop. I love the guy that is the voice on the drive through, so many days I was having a bad day I would go to starbucks and his voice and his jokes always cheer me up.
