I moved here eight years ago, and I have to say that I don't have a high opinion of the owner. I don't know any of the employees personally, but I have observed what they go through and it's torture. Their nerves are shattered. They turn on each other and copy each other out, the place is so small and claustrophobic and all the beeping noise's are out dated & unnecessary. have to cause so much pulse traumatic stress sensory overload & Fight or flight. I would last at best two days. I just don't know how someone doesn't go ballistic there. I think the managers are overworked probably underpaid understaffed and they're downing so much caffeine juice They're becoming super temperamental, causing people out their hand shaking their face is sweating and I am super afraid they're going to have a heart attack. I understand they can't rely on other people to do their jobs well or to even show up because they're so busy gaming. Everybody is becoming so obese there because they're eating that crappy chemical induced junk food In a restaurant that claims to care about children. What a industry of making people sick. I think the managers need to be over the top Thanked for the job. They are doing. They need to be given paid leave vacation to resort like hotel or somewhere to decompress. Other businesses do that. And another thing I think auto ship needs to change because they're so uninvolved and so greedy they even cut down the only shade producing trees because they want their restaurant to be seen. The trees were not the problem. It's the ownership in the size of the kitchen. It's very outdated. In a hostile Work environment. I'm not necessarily picking on the staff. I'm picking on ownership and McDonald's. The staff is working working so hard it's inhumane. It must not feel very good to work somewhere that has such terrible reviews because it's a horrible environment to work at that. Nobody wants to show up to. read more

I've given this McDonald's multiple chances, but my experiences continue to be disappointing. Most recently, I stopped by to order a drink and was told I couldn't do it at the first window. When I got to the second window, I was told again that I couldn't order it and would have to go all the way back through the drive-thru line. It was just one drink, and I already had my payment ready. The employee was very rude about the situation instead of trying to help. Unfortunately, this isn't the first issue I've had here. On another visit, I waited over 30 minutes for a couple of breakfast sandwiches, only to have an employee come out and say they had forgotten about my order. Another time, I ordered two egg and cheese McGriddles. When I got home, I discovered they had put meat on them. As a vegetarian, that completely ruined my meal. I drove back to the store, and while they remade the sandwiches, no one apologized for the mistake or offered any type of credit for the inconvenience. Everyone makes mistakes, but the repeated issues, lack of customer service, and poor attitude have made this location very frustrating to visit. read more

Worst McDonald's in Ohio...you can stand at the counter for 5 minutes before anyone acknowledge's that you are there..then the manager will come out and tell you to use the kiosk because of some reason or another...I have heard employees yell and cuss at each other...not a well managed McDonald's... read more

Surely I've reviewed this; we've been here a couple of times. Oh, well. Handy on 23. South Bloomfield has grown, of course, and doesn't seem to be the speed trap it used to be. Today we came in because they have Minecraft Happy Meals. Kid K was thrilled. Service was friendly, but slow, and there were several mistakes on our order. It seems like there are a couple of people here who know what they're doing and a half dozen others without a clue. Issues were fixed. K liked her standard order (nuggets, fries, apples.) The toy was cool enough. There's an adult Minecraft "happy meal" so I will have to get that next, sigh. I got the new McCrispy Strips. I assumed they would be pretty standard chicken tenders. Nope. Extremely processed meat like the nuggets, extruded in long flat strips. Edible but not really pleasant. And a small portion for the price. Don't bother. Also, a special sauce for Minecraft month, Nether Hot or something. Moderately spicy, but one-note flavor, basically a hot pepper sauce. Meh. The place was a bit dirty, crumbs on tables, sticky floor in areas, etc. All the kiosks were down, and there was a wait at the one register open. We'll be back because it's handy and we have a kid, but otherwise I would pass on this one (and to be fair, I'm not a big McD's fan anyway.) read more

The only way the fries could be colder is if they took them straight out of the freezer for my order. I could tell that they had set for awhile before brought them out with my order in the drive thru. Also did NOT receive the dipping sauce for my nuggets. I don't know why but, apparently the napkins that usually come with each and every order as must be asked for. If I could give a zero amount of stars that would still be too high of a score. read more

Like any other fast food drive through. Quick easy and you know what you're getting. We all stop in from time to time.

Dirty..... the kind of dirt that doesn't happen in a day.... Stopping at this location for coffee and snacks on a recent road trip, I was thoroughly disappointed with the obvious lack of implementation of the high McDonald's cleaning standards. The bathroom sink, where I assume the employees wash their hands, was so covered in dirt and soap scum that someone had scratched into the layers in an attempt to show the thicknesses of the crud. The stall floors were covered in toilet paper. The dining area floors were also obviously dirty. Keep in mind, we were the only guests in the building. The staff members were plentiful- I counted at least a dozen. They were even bragging about how slow it was. I did tell the manager the restrooms needed attention. He shrugged, and thanked me for the notification. That was it. I do realize places are understaffed after Covid. But this restaurant appeared adequately staffed, and visibly lacking in general cleaning. Customer beware read more

My order states I was supposed to receive a 16 piece nugget but, I only received 6 ‍. Every thing else was fine other than my 10 missing nuggies. I didn't go to get them I asked my cousin to and I guess he didn't check the bag in comparison to the the order. read more

I don't know who they have making the hot chocolate , but the last 2 times I have order it , there is little chocolate flavor. I take the lid off and its white liquid. They use to have the best hot chocolate. I worked at a different Mcdonalds for 4 yrs and I know what it should look like. The price you pay for a large hot chocolate,you expect it to be made correctly. read more

At first I was expecting Ashton Kucher to come out and say I was being punked. I was on a long drive home and wanted a cup of coffee. I was in the drive-through line for 18 minutes. I would have gotten out and left but there was a big curb. When I finally got to the window the girl handed me a cup of coffee which was very dark. I asked her for more cream. She said "we don't have any". I was speechless for a moment and asked her if she could check in the back. I noticed a lot of commotion with things all over the floor. There were stacks of cups, boxes, etc. and employees were stepping over them while being yelled at by an angry looking manager. No one seemed to know what was going on. A couple minutes later the young lady came back with a large bag of cream to go into the automatic dispenser. She spent another minute or two to find someone to help her put it into the dispenser. Finally she managed to put some more cream in my coffee and handed it back to me. It was still definitely not the amount I'd asked for but I cut my losses and hit the gas. I go to McDonald's often my grandchildren love kids meals. The McDonald's on SR 23, in South Bloomfield has a nicest crew and manager on first shift. I didn't get any names, but they all are super nice from the greeting at the speaker, the happy smiles on everyone face that you see. There is one younger African-American male who's personality, attitude, grooming, and simply the way he interacted with us as customers was outstanding. I have worked in the food industry for over 30 years, this manager, And crew exemplifies what it takes to make a living in this industry. God bless them all read more

I know you won't believe this but at 10:30 on a Friday evening while the stores open the icecream Machine decided to clean itself. The manager informed me the ice cream machines periodically clean themselves. It's pretty convenient that that happens close to closing time so they can go home earlier. If your restaurant is open the items that you sell should be available. read more

Leaving 1 Star only because 0 is not an option. With only 2 cars ahead of us in line, not really sure how it's even possible to sit for 15 minutes without moving at a fast food restaurant. I confirmed the 2 vehicles ahead of us weren't having mechanical difficulty before heading to Speedway. I attempted to order a meal with a side salad instead of fries. That option is still listed on their menu, but I was told everything would have to be rang up separately or they could just add the salad to the meal, but I would still get the fries. That kind of defeats the purpose. I explained that on their drive thru menu it actually shows a photo of a side salad and drink and says "make it a meal." Yes, I have given a McDonald's FIVE stars. No, I'm not crazy. In it's class of fast food, and based on other McDonald's this one truly deserves 5/5. Here is the deal. This McDonald's is open 24/7. They are consistently friendly, efficient and accurate. They serve breakfast until 11:00 where most stores shutdown breakfast at 10:30. They serve ice cream until 2am, most stores shut it down around 10pm. read more

This place has gone downhill over the years, the management is horrible and most of the workers are clueless and not sure what they are doing, most of the time they get orders wrong and the chicken sandwich I order on the night shift looks like it was reheated after a few hours, would not recommend ordering from here again, the only thing that looks good is the inside being remodeled. read more

Even though this is one of the upgraded Mcdonalds it's not the best. I went into the restroom and I saw an employee come out of the stall and walk straight out and go back to work right behind the counter and not even wash his hands!! Before that when I ordered they were out of sweet tea and I had to go ask and wait in the long line to get one. Then I walked back to get a straw and had to wait in line again. read more

I ordered 2 McChickens and 2 honey mustard sauces with it. I waited in the drive through for about 10 minutes at the window after I paid waiting to get my food. Once I got my food and I was about to eat it I found that it was drowned in mayonnaise to where the point it is gross and my honey mustard turned out to be hot mustard and that is not what I paid for. So I called the manager and they said there was nothing they could do about it. I think this is horrible customer service. I will for sure not be continuing to be a customer there and do not recommend this location to anyone. The managers are horrible and the workers mess up your order. read more

Every time that I have came here something has been wrong. Sometimes I'll be missing a straw, others I'll be missing a sandwich, or there's times when I'll be charged for something extra that I asked for and I don't get it, but when you're driving you don't worry about checking it until you get home and find out you've been cheated. The last time I was here I ordered a "triple stack muffin, sub a folded egg" (for the round egg) and it was correctly rung up as a special request. However, when I got the sandwich out at home, I realized that it had a round egg on it. Not only that, but the egg was undercooked to the point it felt like oatmeal. On weekends, this location does serve breakfast until 11 AM. I haven't looked specifically whether all McDonalds do this but I placed my order at 10:55 AM and it's the most clutch I've ever been ordering breakfast before they switch over to lunch. I ordered two of their sausage burritos for the first time with the mild picante sauce. For a buck each, it's a filling breakfast food that you can't go wrong. May not seem like the healthiest as it's McDonalds, but two of those for two dollars is a steal. read more

We were on a long trip coming back home and stopped at this McDonalds to eat. We go inside and notice the floors look like they have not been swept or mopped in many days. The bathroom stall I went in had poop on the commode and it smelled like someone had just taken a large dump. We ordered our food to eat there in the restaurant. We waited about 15 minutes and the girl said she would bring it out to us. We sat down and waited another 10 minutes and still no food. Finally, Steve goes to the counter and tells her he will wait. He stands and waits another 10 minutes when the girl hands him our food in take out bags. We ordered two chicken sandwiches. The sandwiches look like they had been laying there for several days. I feel sorry for anyone who takes the gamble and eats there. The staff were on their phones most of the time. read more
