I don't understand how it's so difficult to read an order and put it in the bag. Receiving the wrong size or not getting the food at all is beyond annoying. Wasting time and money, do better read more

The food was hot, fresh and quality. The service was quick and very friendly even though I ordered at 9:15 pm. The restaurant looked clean and kept up. The young lady was very friendly at window and told me to have a great rest of my evening. A real plus! read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! I went to McDonald's in Smyrna for doordash, and there was a group of high schoolers that were going crazy, so I go up to the counter and the employees look at me and they just walk away, this is the worst service I've ever seen in my entire life of doing doordash, do not go here unless you want to wait for 30 minutes or longer! read more

I went to mcdonald's, and while i was waiting to move up to the next window; 2 employees were sitting at the first window (where i was at). I watched one employee dig in his crotch, he was on clock in uniform and everything. Mcdonald's switched their employees out very frequently. read more

This is by far one of the of worst McDonald's if it's not the lackluster services you get from the staff, it's the inconsistent of the food being served or the flat out lies " there network is down" so they can't take any orders I would leave the city just to avoid going to this McDonalds ! Do not recommend read more

Even though our curbside order took much longer than expected, when I called the store, the manager was transparent and honest, which I really appreciated. You don't always get that in this industry even in fancier restaurants. I didn't catch her name but I hope she's promoted. They even offered a coupon which was very kind. My only suggestion would be to use the drive thru if you're in a time crunch. Fortunately, my toddlers just wanted fries and mcflurries. read more

Service sucks and slow. Workers never pay attention to the orders up front. There's never a person at the register to handle the orders on the kiosk, or to take an order. The service just sucks. I made an order today for pickup and waited a half hour almost to an hour. I asked a couple workers how long it was going to take and I got a smart answer from the worker with blueish braids. So I asked another employee she gave me the order but said they called it out but never did because I've standing right there and no one ever called my number. read more

The service was absolutely horrible I waited 30 mins for a mc chicken. Everyone in the back was having a party like there wasn't 8 people just standing there for 30 mins. Also other kids just walked in and just told the worker(there friends) to give them food and got it like less then 3 minutes with no payment I couldn't believe my eyes how 4 kids did that before I got my one order. read more

Unfortunately this was not a very good McDonalds. Maybe I caught them on an off night, but it took almost ten minutes between the time I placed my order to when someone came to the register so I could pay. I would've given them a pass for that because the drive through was pretty busy (I was one of only two people inside) and they can't control how many people are waiting, but once I finally got my food, half the chicken sandwich was basically raw. I don't mind waiting a bit because things happen, but the chicken wasn't even cooked all the way through. They can control that part. The wait would've been fine if I could actually eat my food at the end of it, but I was afraid of that partially raw chicken and had to throw it out. A pretty unfortunate McDonalds experience. read more

Fast service, food came out very hot. Gave 4 stars because 2 items were missing. Returned to the restaurant get the items.

horrible service, lack of sanitation awareness, no sense of urgency. youre better off going to acme and making it yourself. more about the sanitation, i watched a staff member in the bathroom walk out not wash her hands or use sanitizer then proceeded to touch food read more

I don't usually leave bad reviews, but I'm fed up with the horrible customer service here! They've overlooked items in my order countless times, but I always check the bag, so it's usually not a big issue. Today, I sat in line for what felt like forever and in a rush went directly home after receiving my food. I get home, and sure enough, my McNuggets are missing. Sauce is there, no nuggets. I head back to the store and get nothing but attitude from the person at the counter and not even a sorry. I worked customer service for years and try very hard to be understanding, but the way I was treated shows straight-up contempt for customers and complete disregard for their experience. A "sorry" goes a long way. read more

This sucks don't go here i order food with my family and they didn't give us half the food. No sauces, No drinks. Lady that was giving us our food to our table might have been on another planet. Said table 11 we are table 24 on the ticket right in front of her it said 11 read more

Terrible service out of everything try to order a mc chicken and there out so it took 40 minutes waiting for our food but there was a nice woman named Raelyn she got us our food and a refund she really needs a raise read more

It's always something here, but here's the last two orders... Came here several days ago ONLY because I was in a hurry. Ordered a whole two meals. "Can you pull up and park?" Huh? It's literally a Big Mac meal and a Happy Meal. Why am I parking for two meals? The kid that brings the items out was... well I'm not 100% sure, but I'm about 90% sure she was stoned. Forgot the Happy Meal. Today I come here at the insistence of my wife despite really not wanting to patronize this location. It's a whole four meals. After battling with the kid at the order board who's insisting on having everything right despite the price he's listing not being remotely correct, and the video board is malfunctioning, we roll up. Surprise surprise, he took the wrong stuff down. Explain it to the next window. She's insisting that's what's there- even though it's only listing the sandwiches, not the meals. So finally they start going to fix it and they hand us a bag of 'part of the order' and ask us to pull up. Pull up, park... Y'all... it's someone else's food. Not even close to our order. Wife had to get out and walk in and explain in small words, again, what they were doing wrong. It's not hyperbole. Literally every time they forget a sandwich, drink, a whole meal, whatever. Save yourself a headache, go somewhere else. read more

Never did I think I would review a McDonald's in my life...unless it was more terrible than expected of course. This should be the model store for all Mcdonalds to strive to be. The staff is friendly as if it were a chic-filet without the fakeness. The establishment was cleaner than ANY fast food place I have ever been to and I ordered a Big Mac and for the first time in 20 years it was made great! Sounds weird and yes I'm considered a "foodie" since I've been in this industry for 25 years. I have fine dining experience and I do consulting. About the Big Mac, put together, not falling apart, everything on it fresh and perfectly portioned. Most of all the perfect amount of sauce!!!! That NEVER happens. Management team and staff are doing awesome and I hope they get recognition. read more

I had put in an order through the McDonalds app before leaving work, it's about a 10 minute drive to get there. When I get there expecting my meal I am told they will start making the meal. When I got my meal they didn't supply cups for the drinks that I ordered. It was a complete waste of time, It would have taken less time going through the drive through then ordering through the app especially if it's not going to get made until the customer gets there. They may have good food but they have poor service. read more

Try patronizing places in your area big I have come to the conclusion this can not always be. Time for me to stop rating McDonald's and start rating myself. 01/22/24 nobody in line in front of me; I guess that gave them a break. Finally after I said "hello" a voice comes over the intercom. I ordered one thing a double quarter pounder with cheese only. I pay and move up to the second window. The young girl at that window is standing at the counter doing nothing. Obviously my order wasn't ready. A car comes in back of me and finally the manger walks around the girl opens the window and ask me to pull up to the third window because the burgers weren't quite ready. So I pull up and not long after my sandwich comes. I thank the guy that gives it to me. I get home and I have fresh cooked double quarter pounder on a roll with no cheese. Thank God I had cheese at home. I've come to the conclusion that when people order and don't receive their food; these workers can already have a meal paid for while they're at work. I only recommend if you plan to check all details of your order when you get it. People make mistakes but this is happening too often at McDonalds. read more

I don't know why I subject myself to McDonald's anymore. It used to be because they were quick and cheap. As we all know, both have gone out the window over the last year. You'd think I would have learned... So maybe, I should be rating myself 2 stars for visiting again instead of McDonald's... Today's McDonald's, in Smyrna, DE is the fast food stop of choice for breakfast. This McDonald's has always seemed to have been fairly good as far as the food, and it was no different today. No complaints about my breakfast sandwich. What my complaint is about is money. Not how much it costs, that is dead horse territory. No, this is about payment. My total was $4.49, and I gave the cashier $5. He then proceeded to ask me if I had any change because "they were put of change..." I gave him two quarters and got back a dollar. But what if I hadn't had change? Would they just have charged me $4‽ Offered to throw and extra hashbrown my way? Probably not. They would have just expected me to eat the fifty cents and carry on with my day. Thanks McDonald's. Apparently I'll never learn.... Bonus: does anyone else wish they'd bring back the paper soft drink cups? read more

Worse service I had in my life. I ordered a large strawberry banana smoothie. And was given it half full. And when I tried to address the cashier. She ignored me and walked away from the window. I believe this is unacceptable and will not be going back to this poor establishment again. read more

Its been my experience that at this location, they have the most triflin acting, ghetto communicating employees providing services after 6:00pm read more

This is the Macker's I'd suggest if you needed to go to one that's on Route 13. If you're wondering why, it's because they're pretty quick with giving you your meal. Their meal quality fluctuates, but is more often good than bad; I've had really good triples, but dry as all get out ones as well. They also double check with you on your items, possibly because they don't want to have complaints. The biggest issue that the place has is that getting out of the place is a hideous nightmare. Not joking; your best hope is to either get out by the Subway or use the strip lot and turn around. It makes the place a bit of a pain on that. read more

Ordered 2 Big Macs in the drive thru. They only gave me one and decided to send me back around to the back of the line to reorder. Not a good experience personally. read more

Quick, fast, and clean place. The food is hot and carefully wrapped. The deals are nice and again, the orders were delivered to our tables very quickly and professionally. Now everyone LOVESSS McDonalds BUTTTTTTT, its definitely not the healthiest choice to go to considering the stuff made there is usually sat out for a few minutes. But honestly such delicious fries and Chicken nuggets, you just kinda forget about all that. I would recommend it definitely. read more

I just want all of you to know that if you are a vegetarian, this is the place to go. Most places charge you extra for vegetarian meals. Not THIS McDs. Did you know that when you order a cheeseburger, they actually just completely omit the burger patty for you? It's amazing. Sucks for me, not being a vegetarian and ordering a cheeseburger, but what can you do. Best part is, when you call them and tell them they made the mistake, they tell you they can't just refund you. No no. They tell you that with gas being $4.29 a gallon, you have to drive the 30 min round trip if you "want them to do anything about it". Best customer service ever! read more

If you love 20+minute drive-thru times this is the perfect place to stop day or night. There doesnt even need to be a car in front of you. You're still waiting an inconvenient amount of time here! read more

The McDonalds in Smyrna has the best service hats off to supervisors for engaging the team in high-performance service. Food tastes like it's freshly made to order, but never a wait time like that, means to me they are up on the rotation of the food. Great work (entire) team. Wow after reading the other reviews below, I guess I just go at the correct time. My experience has been great drive through and dine-in. read more

You know what you're getting with McDonald's so I can't rate them much lower. You have to understand your expectations should not be super high when dining here. That said, there is always a long line and the staff is usually very friendly and try to get people in and out quickly. If there are any issues with the order, as there are on occasion, just check before you drive off and they are happy to correct it on the spot. read more

Service is horrible...long wait...they get the order mixed up all the time. In the sumner, it is freezing in there and I don't have problems elsewhere like that! I don't understand why they have to give us a BUZZER for fast food. Bad indicator! read more

1 star is like 10 too many for this location. The service was horrible waited almost an hour in the drive thru, then the order was missing, I am glad I checked before leaving. I guess I should have also checked each item in the packaging cause the sandwich that was ordered special was not special and even did not have the bacon and cheese added that I paid extra for this is the 3rd and final time that I have spent 40 plus dollars on crap service and inaccurate orders I will not do it again. read more

This McDonald's is always busy but they do move really fast. The food is pretty good as well. My problem is it's always something missing from the order. On 2/3 occasions I ordered happy meals and got home and either the fries or chicken nuggets are missing out of the box. This is very frustrating because I normally prefer my children food here when it's late after sports and I don't feel like cooking so, to get all the way home and see half of the meal is missing is frustrating. Again more than one occasion this has happen. Recently it happened and I called the Smyrna Manager and they stated I can come back or they would send me a coupon ... what kind of coupon ??! She didn't know! I was so tired I just took the the three happy meals back and got my money returned and went to Burger King as much as I didn't want too. She said I can keep the food but I replay didn't want it at that point half would be cold. I wish they would just become better with this issue because it's the only McDonalds in Smyrna. read more

The very few times I patron this place it's always incredibly slow. Well, tonight is the same way. Horrible service. Takes forever to get your food while going through driveway - it took 23 minutes to get ours. It never ceases to amaze me how bad McDonald's is when it comes to execution. First the inside is completely and utterly disgusting second the drive-tru is ok besides the Oder which is the most important part, but I asked for a Big Mac and a medium sprite and ketchup but I got a mic mac a large coke and honey barbecue so it's terrible all together but one star because the food is......well let's say "decent". read more

Just like all the other McDonald's except that the drive through is not laid out well.
