McDonald's location just of the expressway in Shepherdsville on highway 44. Place is always pretty crowded with the drive thru line since it is centrally located. By now most people know whether they like or don't like McDonald's food so when I review the establishments it's based it speed and service. This location is hit and miss but they usually do a good job with the crowds and don't mess the orders up that often. My biggest complaint is they do not have side entrance like the other establishments in that area. You can only enter and exit on the busy highway 44 and that causes traffic jams sometimes. Overall it's not a bad McDonald's location. You kinda know what your getting with these places. So if you can go through line and not notice anything bad that is a win for McDonald's. This one usually is good about that. read more

I hate fast food. Totally hate it. But I go to this McDonald's in sheperdsville every morning I can to get an egg McMuffin and egg and cheese biscuit because the workers are so awake and friendly. This is usually right after they open at 5am. I always order via the app, get a good deal on breakfast and the order is always right and cooked well, and they give napkins without asking! I go through the drive thru which is fast, and even when their computers were down still managed to take care of me and get me rolling again. read more

This is just an average Mcdonalds. Nothing great nothing horrible. I am not a big fan of any Mcdonalds to be honest. But I will say about this place is the parking is horrible and the wait to get food is awful too. They have two lines for it but it does not matter it still takes forever. read more

This McDonald's has always been a disappointment, especially in terms of how a person would judge a McDonald's. First, and foremost, in the hundred years I've lived or worked in Shepherdsville they have never featured friendly service. When I went with my sister most recently the young lady at the counter glowered at my sister and finally barked, "DO YOU WANT TO ORDER." This young lady is lucky my sister was self-medicating with Starbucks because that could - should - have been ugly. We didn't even have an opportunity to be east coast rude. Other problems that plague this McDonald's include order accuracy and timeliness. Putting the correct amount of nuggets in the box is hard but not impossible. Getting the six-year-old kid's plain hamburger right shouldn't be rocket science but apparently 'bread-meat-bread' is a lot to ask. A lot. I wouldn't normally hold this against the restaurant but it is something that, on top of everything else, is a frustration. It is a pain to get in and out of this McDonald's. It isn't easy to get to and there is no real reason for that. You may ask, "why do you go back if this place is two star?" Whelp, sometimes it's what's available and they've always had an above-average pay place (that is usually clean). read more

I went this morning at my regular time at 5:35am before and McDonald's was closed until 6:00am. I waited until 6:17am but MCDonald's never opened up, there was more than 25 cars total in both Order lines, but McDonald's started to loose customers constantly until there were only a few cars, every time I go there in the morning the cashier either gets the order wrong forgets something, I wouldn't recommend the McDonald's in Shepherdsville, Kentucky to anyone. Just watched the manager take a $5 bill for someone to come into the CLOSED lobby (due to """covid""") to skip the drive through line.

Stopped for lunch today Monday May 13, ordered 2 fish sandwiches, because I ammon a retired budget and the sign in the window(BOTH SIDES OF RESTAURANT) says 2 fish for 5.00. I go to pay and the girl with purple hair says 8.85. So I say look at the window she proceeds to call manager who say rather loudly twice I will not honor it and if it is in computer, I can not change, which I know is an absolute LIE. read more

Ordered iced coffee, got an iced cup filled with steaming hot coffee, told them I wanted hot coffee to replace it as obviously the iced wasn't being prepared correctly and we are on time constraint. They poured the hot coffee over ice again and sent me off. At least they kept my McD experience as consistently frustrating as always. read more

I hate McDonalds. It is a foul fast food place with very unhealthy food. I would never recommend eating here. But I do like the Play Places.

The drive thru is moves pretty quickly. The kids area, is standard, not clean (kids are nasty), but it's a pretty good play area if you can handle the noise. The food is exactly what you expect from McD's. Orders are usually accurate. I'll be back for a cheap meal. read more

Remodeled but they forgot to train the staff. 20 minutes between getting in line and food service. At least ten staff visible, but only one could take orders and he couldn't count back change. The place was hopping, mostly with people who had wrong orders, ours included...how hard is it to make a plain grilled chicken sandwich? Apparently as hard as getting a kids meal correct. Food all over the floor at the cook table, the poor guy was slip sliding on lettuce. Something must have been wrong with the hot trays because everyone was complaining that the only thing warm in their order was the soft drinks. I guess you can clean the old dog up, but he still only knows his old tricks. Check your order before driving away from the window. read more

Every week my husband and I go through the drive through (conveniece only) and order 2 large coffees after visiting with our son and his family. 1 with 3 cream and 3 sugar and 1 with 3 cream. After getting sugar in my coffee more than once, I sent an email to corporate and the general manager replied and said he was training his staff. For two weeks this worked well. Big 3 marked on the cup for cream and 3 for sugar and mine just had 3 cream. Last night before making our hour and 30 min drive home we stopped at McDonalds for our coffee. Lets just say If I need a cup of coffee I will go across the street to White Castle or order a large black coffee and getting cream at the window after paying. May not seem like anything to get upset over but giving a diabetic sugar is unacceptable. April 15 fast food workers are striking over a raise. These employees don't deserve a raise. Send them back to school or home to learn how to follow directions and read. read more
