The reason for my low rating is solely based on the terrible drive through and parking lot redesign! It is so bad and so ridiculously designed. Why did they do it this way? Just to waste all the extra space from where the shell station was? They put these median/decider barriers all over the parking lot that make it ridiculously complicated to leave and you can't even get through if there is another car coming the other way. And the drive through redesign is so dumb! There is only space for 3 cars in the drive through if someone is ordering which means people have to wait out on the road blocking traffic making the whole area hazardous and a nuisance! We stopped by the Scappoose location on Thursday afternoon; the location doesn't matter, they are all the same. We only stopped because we were very hungry. We expected poor service and quality, paired with high prices. We were not surprised, as we got what we expected. A cheeseburger and filet-o-fish for $9.05; no fries or drinks. Bland food and poor service. I make the mistake of going to McDonald's every 5 years or so and am always disappointed. read more

When I first ordered I checked my bag and the fries were so oily I had to go back to the drive through and order again. I then asked when I went up to the voice com, and said "can I get a cooked to order fries" they then stayed quite for 5 min then said "anything else?" Then we went up paid and when we got the bag for the order you can see oily splash marks in the bag and it appears that you can see that the fries were re-fried to show that they were hot but they were the same oily fries and not only that but it tasted worst 1 out of 10 read more

Arrived at 7:00, all of the doors were locked, customers actively sitting at tables eating. Time on the door for the dining room says open until 10:00pm. Employees made direct eye contact with me, and simply ignored me. So I took my business elsewhere and will continue to do so. They also continuously make our order wrong, regardless of how many times we clarify for them how we'd like our order made because of allergies. read more

service at this McDonald's has deteriorated to a fully robotic process. Fortunately we were able to order what we needed using the kiosk after the employee told us that we needed to use it. Drive through service was horrible. Ordered burgers and fries. They don't tell customers when fries aren't ready, but still accept payment. Upon arriving at the take out window, the young woman said, "The fries aren't ready, go park over there." We said we just wanted the burgers then, but she refused to give us just the burgers. The manager was called. He was frazzled. Next she came back, handed us a bag and in it was the order with fries. We were surprised and said, there are fries, because we didn't expect fries. Went there this morning to get breakfast, a large coke and a coffee. I left with breakfast and two coffees. The gal taking my order completely messed up my order so I figured I'd correct it when I got to the window. Well...I used my app and it automatically paid. While I'm pulling up, I notice a different car in front of me paying for a meal and thought that was odd and realized someone just cut this very long drive through line. The gal (after explaining the mess up) ends up calling some gentleman who is not helpful at all and he tells me he'd have to refund my entire order then re-ring it like it was a huge hassle. I'm irritated at this point and say it's fine thinking, I'll just give my teenager the extra coffee and they'd still give me a coke since she messed up. Before I take off I let them know the gentleman In front of me cut the line and they have a very long line. And this gentleman worker there tells me what do you want me to do about it and I said obviously nothing she already let him through but maybe it would help her by not allowing other people to do this. He ordered and paid at her window she should have realized he skipped in front of all these people I did use an F word choice word while describing the line which I shouldn't have but at this point I was so irritated with their lack of customer service or not even trying to make my order right by just even giving me a Coke for their mistake. I will say I was very nice to the gal that handed me my food because It had nothing to do with her and I have nothing against anybody else. I arrived at 11:40 pm at the drive thru when I looked on their website and it said midnight. Now I know a bunch of people say they close at 11 pm but if they do, they should change their website. I am only giving 1 star because I have to give a star to proceed. This McDonalds is by far the worst I have ever encountered. They can never get and order right. Burgers are served raw. Management attempts to fix it and it's still raw. Missing items and it's brought to the attention of the manager on duty tonight and she is "annoyed" that you're complaining. Stopped for 2 quarter pounders with cheese on the way home from work. Both burgers were rather pink in the middle and were underdone. I could live with that.......until..........2 bites left of the 2nd burger and I felt a hair in my mouth. I pulled it out and part of the burger was still attached. It had been cooked into the patty. I attempted to get breakfast here this morning. The woman working the drive through was high as a kite on god knows what. Couldn't even stand still, tweaker's jaw. I repeated my order three times at the drive thru monitor only to have to repeat myself 3 more times when I hit the pay window. This is freaking ridiculous. I pull into the drive through at 1059 am. I ask for 2 mcdoubles and a large coke. I'm told that "we don't offer lunch until 1100 am". While I'm there listening to this, I'm watching my clock turn to 1100 am. I say to him" so what you're telling me is that you won't take my order till 11?" He says "yes". I say" it's 11 now". He says" we aren't prepared to serve lunch. We don't have any burgers ready" I say, " So It's 11, which is when you start serving lunch and you won't take my order?" He says" no". Come on people, this is McDonalds, they are everywhere and yours is the worst. Frys are more often cold than not, if you get them at the drive through. I've even complained on Mc Donald's web site!!! I think this one is owned by the same person that owns the one on Yeon, in NW Portland. Maybe she could send some of those employees out here to show these how fast food is supposed to be done. Doesn't Mc D's have some sort of training program? The food is never fast here. Here's another clue or 2; 1. Old McDonald is a lousy speller (eieio) and you can add fry cook to that too! Went through the drive thru for a fast and not so cheap dinner. All 7 orders of fries were cold! Two orders of nuggets- all 40 were cold!! I doubt the burgers were at proper temperature and the kid meals were missing fries!! Were they cooked this morning? Not the cleanest place, but it is attached to a gas station/convenience store. We received our order accurately (which is sometimes difficult at McDonald's). It's not someplace I would necessarily recommend, as I only go to McDonald's if in a pinch. But, it was fine. read more

This place is horrid. Every time we've gone it's been horribly made food ,always cold. I believe the management and employees for that matter truly do not care what kind of food they are serving people. Public health needs to be called. 02/20/2018 at 9:302 pm. Snowy evening. Just went thru the drive thru. Was told at the order intercom to please wait. After a delay of 2 minutes we were finally allowed to order. When we got to the last window (window for payment because we were the only customers there at the time) we were told by the server "sorry... my manager was on the phone with me. She wanted to know the daily sales. I told her that I had a customer and she said "they can wait!!!!". When we finally got our food, I was completely amazed that everything was COLD. Right down to the meat in the burger. We have noticed, in the past year, that KJ Enterprises, AKA Karen Fitzgerald, owner of Scappoose McDonalds, has gone down hill tremendously!!! There is no reason, what so ever, for the only customer at this establishment to wait so long for their order and then get COLD food. feel sorry for the employees at Scappoose McDonalds. They are the ones that get the back lash of all the mistakes. Maybe the owner Karen Fitzgerald, should own up to the disorganized staff that she is running. read more

Somethings just aren't going to change here. They are slower then ever. They can't seem to keep a full staff. I have seen a huge turn around in employees. I am not sure why. This morning I got there early to now plan for the very slow line and they kept getting the order wrong. I had to drive through twice in their slow line. This is probably the most unprofessional group of people. I ordered a large ice tea with 3 splenda and a slice of lemon, and they couldn't even get that right. When we pulled up to the window I said hi, but got no response. When the girl handed me the tea I noticed there was no lemon in the cup. I asked her if there was lemon in the cup she didn't respond. But handed me a cup with a lemon in it. After she handed me the bag I got no thank you or come again until she realizd I was making sure everything was in the bag. Then she said "have a nice day" when I felt her being rude I asked to speak to the manager. She turns to the manager and I quote "I guess I'm in trouble, she wants to talk to you. " The manager was no help at all. In fact very rude also. After we left I took a drink of my tea and surprise no sweetener. I was so irratated by the whole thing I went back in. That's when things go down hill, I asked the manager for sweetener and tell her I was very upset at the way things happened and asked for the girls name because she had no badge on. She overheard me asking her name and actually had the nerve to approach me with sn extends hand to introduce herself, in a very condescending manner. And the manager did nothhing but smile at me. When I told her I thought she was rude and disrespectful the other manger asked me to leave because she couldn't allow me to talk to her employee. Like that. I made the mistake of getting so angry I through my tea. Then they called the police and had me kicked out of the restuarant I was told if I go back there they would arrest me. This is actually my favorite McDonald's in the area to go to because they always seem to have the nicest crew, and I am a regular. However, there is one manager there recently that is making me reconsider if I should go elsewhere until he is transferred or fired. I think his name is Mike. The food is usually hot and as I order. The value for what you get is expected for a fast food joint. A lot of the employees know me here and greet me nicely, which is very welcoming. The manager that I can't stand is not friendly and obviously does not know what customer service with a smile means. He has been seen barking orders to employees, and been rude to waiting customers (one lady today was waiting an extraordinarily long time just for her coffee to go with her meal, which she had received. When she went to ask if she could get her coffee this manager was not nice to her at all, told her to wait because there were other customers in line and they were busy (hello!!!! she had already ordered, received her food and had waited a long time for her coffee. Not out of order for her to ask if she could get it). The location is in Scappoose and has a gas station/quick stop attached. This manager could very well cause a good place to become not so great in a short amount of time. Beware of him, but I do hope that whoever visits this location gets a smile and feels welcome to be there. read more
