Just was at this location, paid for a mocchiato and iced tea. We no lie waited for over 5mins for two drinks before reminding any worker. Spoke to what seemed like the manager who looked annoyed and pissed. But proceeded to apparently ignore us and help another person. The other workers who worked there were too busy to be bothered to even acknowledge us because they were talking to their friends. After waiting even longer we just left without our order obviously upset...we just wasted money! This location needs better staff and re-training. read more

We have been here for about 20 minutes they've got our order wrong four times! Something as simple as no onions turns into they put onions on the wrong thing, they take onions off of the whole order, they don't know their ticket numbers, they even try to give us a completely different order two times! Then when asking for a refund they take the receipt and don't come back with your money. So a total of six wrong orders, two not even being ours, and trying to get our refund results in complete chaos from incompetent staff. The young white male at the window is absolutely horrible. Manners, or lack there of, aside he is in customer service, and should not treat customers rudely. From the start this was a huge waste of time and energy. I had the best experience at this location about 2 weeks ago. Literally, had the best chicken biscuit I've ever had from McDonalds! This biscuit was perfect! Biscuit and chicken were both very tender and flaky! I don't know if these folks have the shiv touch or I just got lucky but other McDonalds need to take some pointers. Service from start to finish was a pleasure! Staff at drive thru were not only friendly and pleasant but they were all smiling. That's unique! Again, cannot brag enough on my experience here and I encourage anyone on their way to the coast to stop in and give them a try. Get a chicken biscuit! You won't be sorry. read more

We like to stop at places that have tables so we can sit with our little dog. This is on our way home from Myrtle Beach off of I-40. The staff was very pleasant and our order was accurate and the fries were even fresh! Seems to be recently renovated and up to date. We always travel with some beach towels because most outdoor tables aren't the cleanest, but that's to be expected. I didn't actually notice if these were because we automatically just use our towels. Also handy if it's been rainy. read more

Driving home to Raleigh from the beach and son wanted to stop at McDonalds. Cringe right? And who does a review for McD??? This lady here because I give credit where credit is due. I thought this is going to take forever and the food won't be good (due to the 2 local ones near us) but I was SO PLEASANTLY SURPRISED!!!! Wishing they could transplant this to our home location!?! A drive thru visit found quick, efficient, pleasant and friendly workers, accurate order making the whole experience memorable and appreciated would DEFINITELY bring me back to this location! I'm saving it on my GPS in case I'm ever in that area again! Thanks to all the ladies (and others there) who made a mundane trip back home MUCH more pleasurable by fantastic customer service. Just a few observations first this location is way too understaffed. Just two more people could ease the speed of service add one more and the overall sanitation of this establishment would be improved. Simply stated the owner of this franchise seems to give a vibe of not caring about her staff. When an establishment like this is this short staffed the franchise owner should consider being on site. I've eaten at McDonald's since I was a child. I've always had a smiling employee take my order. When I returned from Vietnam in 1968, it was the first place I wanted to go. NOW 50 YRS LATER They installed computer these impersonal computer things to take order. I've politely refused and ask for my order to be taken at register and was obliged until last night at Rocky Point, N.C. The girl refused to take my order at the register so I walked out and go to Hardy's. If this is McDonald's new policy to FORCE customers to use impersonal machines then it is time to stop going to McDonalds all together. I did not like it when companies stopped using real people to answer their phones but went to push 1or2 and if you talk to someone they are in India. This Mcdonalds is a joke. The so called managers seems to be to the point of abusive to the employees. In a recent visit on 7/09/2018. A manager who is on the short side, heavy set dark hair yelled extremely loud. I was at the front register. She was yelling about how no one was going to use the restroom anymore no matter what, that she wanted them to keep working so she can leave on time. I will be contacting the owner about this issue. Worst McDonalds I have ever visited and I've eaten at a lot of McDonalds. I have to say McDonalds is a pretty solid choice when you have to pull off at an exit and eat fast food. Maybe I had been lucky and never had a bad experience. This particular McDonalds and the subsequent customer service after I registered a complaint have soured me on the whole company. I stopped at this location on my way to an appointment. We ordered a 10 piece mcnugget and 2 qtr pounder meals. I knew I had an appointment so I was looking at my watch. I also noticed that the place was not understaffed. There were plenty of employees mostly standing around. 20 minutes went by and I politely asked for my money back because I had to get moving. At this point the counter person became visibly agitated and started making an excuse about how long it takes to cook the new 1/4 pounder. While she was talking a person ran over and dropped a 1/4 pounder in my bag and the bag was handed to me. Another employee came over and started to verbally contend with me for absolutely no reason. I was just happy to get my order so I left. When I got to the car guess what...only one quarter pounder of the two that I ordered. I went back inside and got me money returned. Later on after going 10 miles up the road I went to another McDonalds and they filled my order in 7 minutes. They must have a magic quarter pounder cooking griddle or hamburger fairies that help them or something that enables them to make the burger faster than the Rocky Point location. Anyway, I also noticed that at Rocky Point there is no contact number for the franchise owner or manager. This is not a good sign and when they refunded my money they wanted information about me that is not necessary to refund a credit card purchase. I know this because I worked with the bank card industry for a couple of years. When I asked them about it they said they needed it for their records so I just gave them a bunch of false info. Me thinks the employees are feeding friends and families among other things so the owner has tightened the screws on all transactions that are not straight sales. Here's the scenario - cousin Jerome comes in and orders a Big Mac. He pays for it then says it taste bad and gets a refund. My guess is that this was going on a lot. So word to the franchise owner - get yourself in your business because your staff is horrible. You don't argue with customers especially in an abusive tone. Also, post your contact information. I work for directly for the CEO of a $5B company. Everyone of our locations has the contact information for the CEO and a lot of the calls and emails are referred to me after our staff responds. No executive is too important to take the time to respond to a customer. This brings me to McDonalds Corp. Apparently they don't give a damn either because they responded with a tepid email. I don't suppose they can do too much to discipline franchisees but I can sure take my money to Burger King! read more
