Being greeted at the door was a little confusing. I saw very jolly man with a very big grin on his face, walking toward the door. I didn't know he worked there. I held the door open for him and asked if he were coming out. He didn't say anything to me. I proceeded to go into the restaurant and waited for the rest of my family to join me before asking for a table for a party of four. We were seated quickly, but only after the once jolly man questioned someone in my party about the service animal we brought in with us. They asked the usual questions, like the purpose of the service animal and what service it provided and to whom. That was fine. After that, they made no fuss. Our service animal did as they were supposed to. They remained underneath the table and did not make a sound. Awesome. Back to our food order. There were only three entrées ordered. I don't understand why it is that when we received our food, everything was less than lukewarm. The sausage links that came with one of the breakfast entrées look like it were getting cold enough that a layer of fat was beginning to show on the top of the sausage links. The butter on the Swedish pancakes had already made a pool and was dripping off the top. That to me means it was sitting there for a little while already. And on top of the French toast, the butter just sat there. It was like it never made it onto the French toast while it was still hot. That's why the butter had not melted. I feel like there was mismanagement in the plating and timing of everything. Like I said, our food was lukewarm at best. You could tell everything was delicious and had just been made, but still somehow, somehow I was expecting a piping hot breakfast. I also was expecting that all three of our orders would've come out correctly. They did not. I think one of us received an order of French toast instead of an order of Swedish pancakes. I forgot exactly the confusion, but someone didn't get what they were supposed to get. It was easily fixed, but we had to get our original waitress to come and make the correction. Luckily, that set of Swedish pancakes did come out, and it was warm. So, we got there, but it took a while. There's a little bit of a detour. The gentleman who brought us water and extra napkins and straws, things like that, he was awesome. He was very quick on his feet and didn't miss a beat. It was really nice to see that the restaurant gets a lot of regulars. This was a fun spot to try. Maybe we caught them at an off time. I'm not sure. Either way, I would like to come and visit again. It's just might be a little while. We don't get out to this area very often.
