This franchise has been improving lately, still a good wait if you walk in and order old school style. But there has been some improvement.

Traveling home from the East Coast I stopped at a McDonald's in Princeton, WV. I really only eat McDonald's for breakfast when I'm on the road, and most of the time the experience is just okay. But the experience of this McDonald's was so good that I wanted to leave a review. From start to finish, it was one of the best McDonald's experiences I've had in a long time. We ordered Egg McMuffins and Bacon, Egg, and Cheese biscuits (both w/ no cheese), which in my opinion defines classic travel breakfast! Everything was amazing. The English muffins were perfectly toasted, not overdone as they sometimes are. The biscuit was unbelievable. I don't know if it's because I was in the south, but it was amazing. And it seemed bigger to me than usual. Light, fluffy, golden brown, buttery, amazing, amazing, amazing! The people were friendly. The bathroom was clean. Even the music was good. So, I coffee'd up at breakfast'd up, and hit the road a very satisfied McCustomer. If you're looking for a road trip stop, this is it. read more

0 STAR IF I COULD. Repeated order multiple times, had fix it at the window. Waited 5 minutes for a manager. Charged us 10 cents for a sprite for no reason. Finally they tried not giving us all the food we paid for. Tried making the excuse that the hash browns we paid extra for were in the meal box. Then there was no syrup in the drinks. If it was possible to give a 0 star review I would. I waited in the lobby for 1.5 hours and I didn't receive my order and when I asked when it would be ready the staff was extremely rude and told me off. The food was alright, but my fries were unsalted which i was really looking forward too they also forgot my cup upon serving and my friend shamrock shake was severally under shook. The service was quite slow making my friend wait 15-20 minutes after ordering for her food. The ambiance was nonexistent with not a lot of music playing in the background to enlighten the mood. Easily the slowest McDonald's on the planet. It's painful. Go down the street to the local dinner and sit down. It can't take longer.

It took a long time to get a happy meal. Just a cheeseburger happy meal. There was only one person in line when we got there so it wasn't busy but for some reason we had to pull up and park and wait for what felt like 7-10min for a cheeseburger and fries. They were nice and all just don't understand why it takes so long. I don't recommend this one, but I'm sure people go anyway bc a lot of us have kids who love Happy meals. read more

Not sure why this McD's is getting such a bad rap. It's a fast food chain, not a 4-Star restaurant. With that in mind, I thought it was top-notch! Clean, fast service, large play area (including a toddler section for those too little to climb up the steps)... what more could you want?? It's an updated McDonald's with a a sleek, modern look. It even has 4 ordering kiosks so, if it's busy, you can place your order yourself, take a number to your table, and an employee will bring it out for you. Bonus: As someone roadtripping from OH to FL with little kids in tow this is the perfect pit stop. Kids can play off some of their energy and get a kid-approved special occasion Mickey D's lunch and then you can walk across the parking lot so that the parents can get a healthier sandwich, sub, salad, snack, etc from Sheetz. Like a few other reviewers here, I'm not sure why this McDonalds is getting a bad rap except most of those reviews are a few years ago. I've typically had good food and service here - granted I always order at the kiosk now rather than the counter, and the food is always brought to my table. But the food is tasty and hot. If I had any complaint it would only be that they don't have condiments out these days; sometimes going to the counter to ask for them on a busy day can be a little problematic. read more

We waited in the drive thru line for 25 minutes waiting for our food. I finally went inside and I asked for a manager and no one came to speak to me for 8 minutes. My husband had to go in and finally the manager came to speak to him. At this point it's been 35 minutes since we ordered and still nothing. The manager said here's a refund and then my husband asked what about our food and she replied "oh you still want food". Furious. I called corporate and expect an answer from the owner. read more

Rude. And is that a mustard scheme? "They're 10 cents each." What? 10 cent for an extra mustard packet? I get that this is a poor area of the country but to charge 10 cents for a condiment that is free elsewhere is a little much. Was she trying to make extra money a dime at a time? I don't know. When I told her that no McDonalds in America (yes, I travel all over America) had ever charged me for extra mustard packets and I refuse to pay she backed off and made the excuse that she thought I wanted honey mustard dipping sauce for my chicken nuggets. She had just delivered two hamburgers to my table. (Draw your own conclusion here). She ask how many. As I started to say four she interrupted and said "I'll bring you two!" On her return I joked that even if they charge for mustard mine should be free in trade for the ketchup I didn't get. (I don't like ketchup. I know this shocks some readers but it's true). I wish I could give this McDonalds ZERO STARS! We made the mistake of going to the drive-through on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at 1:10 pm. It took FOREVER!!! The slowest McD's in the WORLD! Yes, they have two lanes and we weren't all that far back - but it took 25 minutes. When we got to the food window, the lady handed us a bag with our food (later to discover we had zero napkins) BUT the worst was that she handed us two of the SMALLEST DRINK CUPS I have ever seen - maybe like 5 oz cups? I said, "wait! we ordered the meal which comes with a Medium drink - what is this!?!" She said, we're OUT OF CUPS! I was about to say, "Well give an employee $100 and send him to WalMart and buy some cups!!" But she quickly shut the window on me! LOL. NEVER AGAIN. This place is convenient to the WV Turnpike and no doubt does a HUGE business because of the location. But, NEVER AGAIN!! NEVER! Disgraceful! read more

They have a playplace. That is all I care about. Also while I was there, a guy came in and cleaned off the tables twice which is pretty amazing. The playplace is decent size with plenty of tables to sit at and watch the little ones run around. This place is also busy enough that I did not feel bad coming in and using the playplace without buying. Sorry, the weather was windy and drizzling at times. They are also beside a Sheetz, Bojangles, and across the street from Chick Fil-a. McDonalds's playplace is bigger and the room allows for more running. If I had a crawler or kid under 2 then I might hit Chick Fila for the crawl space over this playplace. Great location except for trying pull out. Now even with the cleaning, the floor looked a bit dirty. read more

Usually don't do McD but it was the only thing open on the exit. Decided to see if the new "fresh" quarter pounder was any better than the old one. It was pretty decent but at almost $10 for the combo absolutely not worth it. The fries were ice cold and obviously very old, completely inedible. read more

BAD service...we ordered a Big Mac Meal and a large fry, to go...we paid and patiently waited for the order to be ready...while we waited, other customers who were eating in ordered the same meal, 3 of them to be exact, and received their meals before us...then when asked what was taking so long, they said they were waiting on fries...excuse me but I just saw you serve 3 other customers several orders of fries, so why I am still waiting for mine...I am done with McDonald's...all of them... read more

My experience here was unfavorable. First, when i asked for honey for my son's chicken nuggets, the cashier told me they do not have any. I have never been told this before and my children like to dip their nuggets in honey. Because of this, I asked if they did not even have it for biscuits in the morning. The cashier responded that they only have it out in the morning. Second, the cashier also did not ask us what drinks we would like for the kids meals. This is not a big deal; however, it was very inconvenient to have to ask the employee who gave me my tray to exchanges the cups for milks. It was made irritating when the employee asked another employee if they could exchange the empty cups for milks. Third, the restaurant was dirty, nasty dirty. I understand the McDonald's is off a well traveled highway, but there is not excuse for a lack of cleanliness. There were flies buzzing everywhere, the tables were grimy, and the floors dirty. We went to the gas station next door to use the bathrooms because we did not want to chance the bathrooms here. Additionally, while I waited for my food, I watched another family come to the same cashier I had. They asked what the happy meal toy was and the cashier just pointed across the restaurant and pointed at the display case saying, 'you see that over there? It is one of those." The little girl ran over and came back asking for a specific toy that was on display. The cashier said, "I don't get to pick them for you." This may not seem like a big deal, but to me it is. It was just another example of a lazy employee with poor customer service. The cashier could have just grabbed a toy from behind the counter and shown it to the family when asked what the toy was. Filthy. Gross. Flies everywhere. Food on the floors. Nasty bathroom. The only reason they get 2 stars instead of 1 is because they had a playhouse for my kids. It was clean. They have a sign posted that a separate vendor cleans the playhouse. Perhaps that vendor should do the whole store. read more

Went through the drive through, placed an order, pulled up yo window and paid for order, employee read off list of what I'd purchased to ask me if they'd missed anything and every item that I'd ordered and paid for was listed employee handed me bag of food and vanilla shake, I drove home. After getting undressed and settling in to watch a documentary and eat I became aware that employee at McDonald's couldn't possibly have actually checked my order but was only reading the items from the computer screen because the most expensive and substantive item was not in the bag. I drove back to the McDonald's after getting redressed. Lights were off and they were closed. Had to tap on a window to get someone's attention and let them know that they had forgotten my most important item. They said they didn't have the item, they'd put my name on a list and I could return at another time and the item would be supplied then. The employee who told me this was obviously cleaning staff by appearance so situation was futile so I was courteous and left and drove home: hungry and angry. Checked the precise location online after returning home only to discover that the location was supposed to be open and operational for another hour from when I was reading the information online. They had closed down the location more than an hour early. read more

Your food ain't ready was said to us after waiting in line for 45 and the drive through man was half way into the car and said that so this place will wast your time go to the chick fila across street is a lot faster and the food was cold when they brought it out to us the guys name was NOAH this place has ruined this restaurant line and we also got lessed than we ordered. read more

Stopped here while passing through on our way to NC. Our experience was lackluster at best. Out of a ton of stuff including toys for happy meals (which they didn't tell us, much to the dismay our kiddo who has been collecting the current toy...), napkins, soap in the bathroom. He brings our food back to us they gave us two burgers filled with onions and then hot mustard for chicken nuggets, small fries and forgot another. Wish there was an option for zero stars because this place is so terrible. First of all the attitudes of all the employees are so unprofessional and rude that I literally want to vomit the disgusting food they just served backed onto them. Second of all, if this was a trash dump it would be five stars because it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in ages. Like seriously fire all these lazy employees if they can't do their job. They aren't get paid for nothing. Third comes the part that really pisses me off. I ordered a burger. Just cheese nothing else. And what happens? I get a burger with cheese and ketchup.
