Quarter pounder w/cheese
Carol F.

I ordered 2 combo meals Food took almost an hour to be delivered and when I got it the entire order was ICE COLD AND BURGERS WERE RAW IN THE MIDDLE

Medium fry.

They seem to either always mess something up or just not fill the fries ever. Love McDonald but this one definitely needs some work

a receipt with a barcode on it

I placed an online order and set mobile spot 1 as my location for curb side delivery. 25 minutes later I was still waiting. When I went to walk inside to look for my order the door closest to the curbside pickup was locked. Once I walked around the store to the other doors, I had to wait a few more minutes before someone noticed me standing in the front of the store. I explained to her that I had an online order for curbside pickup and had been waiting over 25 minutes and she went around the corner and came back and said here it is, someone mislabeled it, which was not true because I could see the Mobile 1 on the ticket. I asked her since it had been sitting there all that time was it going to be cold, she said No because she had just bagged it. Again that was not true because everything in it was cold.

The best Sprite in the game.

If you want a sip of the worlds best sprite, you have to come to this McDonalds. I don't know what it is about it- it's simply crisp, refreshing and delicious. I'm a fan of the new cups too. It almost glistened in the light as the drive thru clerk handed it to me this evening. I was in complete awe. This is just the beginning. Everything else in my order was prepared to perfection. Cheeseburger- no onions, golden hot fries, and McFlurry. Thank you for exceeding my expectations this evening. Y'all rock !!

Since it was a weeknight, it wasn't too busy but there were still a good amount of (what seemed to be) regulars there. Music was loud, energy was high, and the bartenders were super nice. I love a good dive and this place definitely delivered. They have a solid food menu here. They're known for the burgers and they have quite a few that sounded really good, but I wasn't in the mood for anything too messy. I got a standard cheeseburger (I know, boring) but it was delicious! Fries are also solid here, nice and crispy and served piping hot. They had a good selection of beers and spirits here. I had no problem finding something I liked. A cool spot that I would definitely frequent if I lived in Norfolk! Worth a visit if you are in town.

You don't get a choice of temperature, but they are tasty and still moist despite being well done. The fries are some of the best I've had in a while. Crinkle fries fried to perfection. Not oily, quite light and crispy. Delicious.

I called ahead of time and asked if they took walk ins and was told they didn't, so I made reservations for 6pm. With this restaurant being located off Granby St., I figured I'd better find the location first before finding parking. Upon arrival, I almost drove right past it. The only sign they had was a "Black Spice" sign in the window, which was very easy to miss. Thankfully, we found a close parking garage and it was a short walk to the restaurant. We were seated as soon as we walked in and the place was practically empty. Before getting settled, we asked if we could sit at the tables with a booth (for comfortable seating) but was told that those tables were reserved for parties of 3 or more. We understood, but funny enough, there were two (yes, two) ladies sitting at a nearby table with a booth! Insert side eye lol! We started with drinks and appetizers. The drinks were okay but not very strong. We ordered the CrabMac and the Lobster Egg Rolls. The CrabMac was good but the Egg Rolls seemed to miss the mark a bit, for me. I think they would've been better without the cheese. For our entrees, my friend ordered the Salmon and I ordered the Braised Short Ribs. My friend said her Salmon was okay but I wasn't a fan of the Short Ribs. They were covered with a very interesting, bbq sauce that I didn't quite enjoy. I've ordered Short Ribs before but I've never had them with such a thick, bbq sauce. The Mashed Potatoes were garlicky and very tasty and the Sautéed Spinach was so good, I ordered another side of it. Once we finished eating, we asked for the check and my bill came up to $91.80! I just knew they had given me the wrong bill lol! They automatically added 15% Gratuity on the bill without our knowledge. Our server was great so I was going to tip either way, it just would've been nice to be notified ahead of time. Unfortunately, there wasn't anything I ate that would justify spending that much lol! The staff were very nice but I'm sure I won't be returning again. By the way, no one ever came to sit at the table with the booth, so we definitely could've sat there. SMH!

My visit here was on September 2, 2026. It had probably been at least a decade since I had been here, as I don't go into Norfolk too often. The reason for being in Norfolk that day was to bring my mom to some medical imaging that day. Afterwards, we decided to get something before going home. I was quite surprised when I drove up to the place, as there was ample parking available. That's not something I see too often in Norfolk. There is parking for dining in, as well as parking for order and pick up in numbered spaces as well. This would be a dine in visit, as it would take too long to get home with it in Virginia Beach. When we came inside, it definitely had the feel of a retro diner. The colors and such match that too. I will note that the place isn't overly large inside, so there would be limited indoor seating here during peak times. We were immediately greeted by the staff at the counter, and gave us some menus to look over since it had been a very long time. For those that drink sodas, they carry Coca Cola products. Once we were ready to order, we went up to the counter to order. I didn't realize until after ordering they had it set for take out, but that was no issue since we were eating there anyways. I ordered the Minced Barbecue Sandwich Plain with Slaw On The Side (upcharge for on the side) and water to drink. My mom ordered the Cheeseburger with Onions and Relish, as well as a Coca Cola to drink. It was maybe five to ten minutes or so when they let us know the food was ready and was in a to-go back. We were already at a table, so took them out of the bag and had them there. The Minced Barbecue Sandwich looked really good. It was good and hot when I took it out to eat. The sandwich may have been simple, but it had a great taste to it and was enough to satisfy the craving. My mom liked the Cheeseburger that she had there as well. We didn't do any ice cream there this time, as she was a little tired already after the testing earlier in the day. One thing that's neat here is that there is some history here. The world's first waffle ice cream cone. This machine was built in 1905 and is still used to this day. You aren't able to touch it, but if they aren't busy, they will demonstrate the making of the waffle cone there. They weren't able to do it that day when we were there as it had gotten busier by the time we were done. Overall, this was a very good experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The prices are reasonable compared to what you get for it too. I do want to note that if you use a credit card, there is a 2.5% surcharge added to the total. If you're in this part of Norfolk and looking for something to eat, skip the national chains around there and come here to get a taste of history.

There's something very comforting in the fact that at least one spot in Coastal Virginia hasn't changed. The last time my son brought my Manhattan born grandson to visit he wanted to introduce him to Doumar's. It was a place both he and I had frequented often in his youth. It fid not disappoint. My grandson proclaimed the hot dog, served split in two on a hamburger bun, the best he has tasted. This trip my grandson asked for a return visit to Doumar's, again ordering a hot dog and a cherry milkshake. My son had a tuna sandwich with iced tea. My choice, as always, was a pulled pork barbecue sandwich with a limeade. The food, service & old school ambience was fantastic. Please don't ever change Doumar's. You are and will remain a gem we should cherish.

Let's talk about my most recent visit. My gf and I went on a Thursday afternoon around Noon. I was expecting more Downtown workers to be out for lunch but after quickly finding parking we walked in and was immediately greeted and sat. We chose to sit at the bar. Our waited gave us menus and the tough choices began. Sangria or Hibiscus Tea, beer or Pear Mimosa!! we got the pear mimosa and the Hibiscus Tea. Didn't get much pear flavor but it was still very good. And babes tea was light and refreshing. For our food I was so overwhelmed in the best way possible. There were so many amazing options it was hard for us to decide. What I did know for sure was that we had to have the Chimmichurri French fries. I know from previous visits that it's a big enough portion for 2 people to share, so we did!!! We finally ordered our sandwiches and decided to share each. I got the Sticky Piggy and gf got the triple threat! see the photos for descriptions. Omg. every single bite was amazing. It was so much that we each had half a sandwich to take home. Clean, friendly staff, great food, lots of choices to customize You must go! We have decided that we are going to work our way through the entire menu and we can't wait!! See you soon GCB!!!

I used to drive all the way to Northern Virginia whenever I was craving Bonchon, so having one much closer to home is such a treat. Their chicken is always crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. My favorites are definitely the Garlic and Soy Garlic flavors. The crispy texture combined with that savory, slightly sweet sauce is absolutely addictive! If you love Korean fried chicken, Bonchon is definitely one of my favorites. Now that there's one in Norfolk and Virgina beach, I don't have to make the trip to Northern Virginia just to satisfy my craving! The food is delicious, but the Norfolk location can have long waits, slow service, and occasional issues with online ordering. Parking is also difficult. This particular location is very quaint and loud, we were given dirty plates, the service was slow, our chicken tenders didn't have a lot of flavor, and the pork buns were not right (over-toasted and the meat was too tough). The bulgogi fries were delicious though, so points for that. We may try another location, but we won't be back to this one.
