Everything could improve. Just wanted d a coffee. It tasted like water and was barely lukewarm. Went back in to get a new cup but staff did not address the issue until I asked a second time and then told there would be a wait. Most poorly run McDonald's I have ever been to. Other customers were having issues too read more

The service was nice hear and food is served quickly. The restaurant was clean, but they've removed the grilled chicken from their menu so I won't be coming as often because I want something a little bit healthier if I can get it read more

I wish I could give it no stars. I went through the drive thru of the restaurant yesterday at approximately 4:46 pm CST. I sat there approximately 5+ minutes and there was no greeting. I finally said "Hello" and only then did someone have sense enough to offer a partial greeting. They told me "one moment" only for me to notice that they had started to take the order for a car that had just driven up. Instead of waiting to spend my money, I drove off. I took pics to show I was in the area not close ups pic. read more

We stopped by this McDonald's for a quick dinner after my son's soccer game. We went inside to order even though we were gonna eat, in the car, on the way home. See? We needed to be quick =] We open our food and realize the three Big Macs were missing the center bun. #palmtoforehead We go back to see if they can just give us new burgers, correctly made. They stated they ran out of buns. Whaaat?! I can see how this would MAYBE happen. But wouldn't you first let the customers know? So we wouldn't have to come back? Cuz we were in a hurry?! You know the song... Two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun. Well. There was no sesame seed bun. Lol! I still gave two stars cuz the rest of our food was, well, good according to fast food standards. #shrug read more

Inside closed at 7pm and required drive thru service only. We were towing a boat and had to change a tire in the lot. Manager refused service to my family and I because we couldn't use the drive thru. I had two little children that were starving and she said oh well too bad. Unbelievable. read more

The bottom line is this....they still serve the breakfast bagel sandwiches. None in Michigan do.

food is always cold, nasty and old as of the last 4-5 months. they won't let you use the mobile app at this location as they say none of the codes ever work. oh- and the night managers and crew are the most rude, incompetent, disrespectful bunch of lowlifes i have ever had the displeasure of having to speak to. thanks! it's worth it to go 10-15 minutes out of your way to any other mcdonalds in the area, so you don't have to waste your money and time here. read more

Went through drive through at 12:30am on way home from airport having not eaten all day. There was no customers inside or in drive. After a few minutes a worker said they were only accepting mobile or doordash orders. The sign and online site both state 24/7. It is mcdonalds and late night driving on expressway. HOW IS ANYONE GONNA ORDER MOBILE WHILE DRIVING? read more

We stopped here to stretch our legs and were going to order something until we heard a manager (unsure if shift manager or store manager) yelling at fellow employees and following up her shouting with "let me do my damn job"! My mom and I shockingly looked at each other and noticed several other customers concerned about this behavior. It wasn't super busy inside and nobody was causing a commotion besides this woman. She was caucasian, ~40s+ and had on a dark pink colored shirt. This behavior is unacceptable! We suggest she attend some courses on how to treat employees and how to manage stress accordingly. She proceeded to do an interview for someone who was sitting there waiting and had also witnessed her behavior. We hope this is NOT how all management treats their staff at this location. We feel awful for the employees here. read more

Horrible experience. I went through the drive through and simply asked for a number 1 the women over the speaker kindly accepted it and then some mad yelled through the speaker "we ain't takin no more orders" no explanation given. I asked what we should do and he interrupts the other employee talking and says "it's going to take so long to get your food I don't thing you would want to order". If the manager of the location responds to this I would gladly give additional details. I am shocked with how poorly we were treated not only as customer but just fellow human beings. read more

Unreal decided to do Mobil order, avoid this McDonald's as they will not make the food and they don't even answer their phone. Sat at the curbside pickup for 30 minutes could've had a sit down diner. If you want fast um no this is not the place for you and the food is McDonald's so really we're they killing the microwave? Not sure ask for a refund. read more

Do not waste your time here, go across the street to Taco Bell where your order is more likely to be accurate, not burnt, and without the unwelcome addition of hair. Just went and wasted $10 here for breakfast with my boyfriend. Was willing to overlook the half of my bagel that was clearly burnt and hard as a rock and then two seconds later my boyfriend bites into his McMuffin and this hair happened to be inside of it. I'm really not even willing to drink my latte at this point without putting it through a strainer to ensure nothing is in it that I didn't order. Considered going back, but I was not mentally prepared to eat the new sandwich they probably would have offered me instead of just giving me a refund. Their breakfast was the only thing left on their menu I still enjoyed. I now have no reason to be back, especially at this location. read more

Got confused. Ordered via app, table order, it clearly said we will bring your order to your table. After 25 minutes waiting my order was packed in bag and waiting for pickup at the counter. No one says anything.... read more

Simple... need to train their cashiers not to touch the food with their BARE hands.... Management needs to also talk to the staff with more research. Yelling is is not an effective method of training or a good corrective action; especially when the customers can hear it read more

Came here at breakfast time. There were two lines of cars, about 7 in each line. The service is FRIENDLY (much more so than a typical McDonalds), efficient, and the egg mcmuffins were fresh and delicious. read more

If I could give zero stars I would, they forgot all of our condiments which we asked for twice, the fries are ice cold, Burger ice cold, they only had milk for the kids meals when we wanted apple juice, and we asked for different toys for the kids meals for the 50th anniversary and got all the same thing read more

I would give no stars they were extremely rude kept handing me straws out the window after I said I don't have that many drinks all because the employee was bored. The sandwich was not edible asked them to remake it and they were rude then the manager was extremely shitty for no reason. read more

It's new-ish, it's still McDonald's. I've only used the drive through and they are friendly and fast, I haven't had to pull up and wait for an order here, as I seem to have to do at the McDonald's in the center of town. read more

Ordered a happy meal for my 5 year daughter in the drive through. Told them it was for a girl so they would choose a girl toy. Got back in the expressway and found that they did not put a toy in the box. Booo. Thumbs down. read more

Horrible night time operations. Absolutely the worst. May as well close the store at night time.

Great staff every time I go magnificent service. Food is great, fresh and never a wait, drive thru is smooth

Not actually 24 hour. Stopped in at 3am and all (inside and out) the lights were off. Either they were closed or the employees didn't want to deal with customers. Very big waste of time after a long day. Very disappointed. read more

Food was cooked thoroughly and delivered in a reasonable time, but customer service leaves you wanting. Like I wanted someone to acknowledge that I was at the counter for the 5 minutes I stood there waiting, but I was forced to use the self checkout. For a location that had no one in it and maybe two cars in the drive through it shouldn't be that hard to notice someone at the counter. It's not like I wanted them to greet me or smile or hold a conversation. I just wanted someone to take my order. The most annoying part of the experience was after receiving our food the man standing by the coffee machines doing god knows what had the audacity to openly stare at us until we were out the door. It was just such a weird offputting time and it really didn't have to be. Fix yourselves read more

Clean, modern decor, well staffed, friendly, efficient, hot food. Great job running this restaurant.

We stopped by this morning to a filthy bathroom and bugs openly in the lobby. One can only imagine the filth where the food arrives. Do not stop here. read more

Hot fries. Clean facilities. Fast service. Liked the self-serve order screen. Baby change station in female restroom.

This is my favorite McDonalds in NW Indiana and I come here several times a week to eat breakfast and do a little bit of work before heading in to the office. The atmosphere is inviting. The staff is very friendly. The music is tasteful and not overpowering. Restaurant is very clean. Food is always fresh and hot. Today, I ordered coffee first and Simone welcomed me with a warm smile and really made my day. David, who waited on me a while later, was very friendly which I have come to expect here from all the staff. Kyle, the host, is always accommodating and friendly and cleared my tray when I was finished. The managers, including the GM are very welcoming and make me want to keep coming back. The entire experience is always a good one. There are other McDonalds that are a bit closer but I'm willing to drive a few extra miles to come here. Good food, fresh coffee, friendly staff, free wi-fi... I'm lovin' it at Portage McDonalds! read more

McDonalds - a laptop and a cup of coffee - Burgers Near Me - Portage, Indiana

One time I went to the McDonalds here in portage that closes at 11pm and it was 10:30pm. The employee handed me my bag of food at the drive-thru and gave a speech about how all of my food was fresh. I thought this was unusual, because she really went out of her way to say, "All of your food is fresh, I just wanted you to know the food is fresh and I'm sorry about the wait." Well, I later found out why, and it was because the food was NOT fresh and tasted like it was sitting there for an hour. The speech was because it was her guilty conscience knowing that the food was cooked a long time ago... Their shift was almost over in 25 minutes and they were ready to get off work. Needless to say, I don't eat at McDonald's anymore after 7 or 8 in the evening. read more

i like the place everyone else just being dramatic like how you leave a place thinking that they will still have buns for us weird anyways come here @holykillz on ig if you need me read more

Went there at midnight to order. (They are a 24 hour location.) Employee says,"sorry our grill is down, we cant take any orders" . All i wanted was an order of french fries... which definitely arent cooked on a grill, which I also told the employee. All they did is ignore me, even though all you need is a deep fryer. Sounds like lazy lying workers. Wil not give them my business again. read more

I'm pretty sure they were talking about cockroaches when I was waiting for my order. One girl said she saw one and saw it go to the floor and run away.... The fries were good. I got a ranch and chicken wrap and honestly it was awful. There was too much chicken and the chicken did not even taste good. Barely any ranch or tomato or lettuce. Not satisfied. read more

Fries were hot, service with a smile, but the food was not considerately made. I ordered a Swiss cheese melt and the cheese was wilted and translucent, blech. The beef was lukewarm and there was huge cold glob of the garlic mayonnaise only in the middle of the bun. Not really great... read more

I went to this McDonald's expecting the usual half hearted/I hate my job treatment.much to my surprise, I was very happy to see a genuine smiling face across the counter and an atmosphere of respect among customers and staff, also very clean and a nice atmosphere.also the food was hot, fresh, and appealing to the eyes.not with the look of being thrown in there.thanks for restoring my faith in a McDonald's again!! read more
