If I ever have a favorite McD's, it would be this one, for the reason being it's definitely a nice pit stop on my way from LA to either Vegas for Mt. High. The McD's is chill. Most people stop by and just use the restrooms, and they're cool about it. It's kind of like the rendez vous point if you're meeting with a big group before going up to mt high. Located on a some what sketchy looking rd id never visit at night, close to the freeway. The lady taking our order was friendly. We asked for fresh nuggets and had to wait an another 5 minutes..understandable I guess. I give them 1 star now because when I opened the bag to eat my food, I found out she gave me HOT MUSTARD rather than honey mustard I specifically asked for! First things first. It is impossible to get a mcdonalds employee to get your order correct. There is always something that they miss. Then when you get to the window to get your food. They are very rude. Told me to pull to the side. My order was 10 hash browns. 2 fries. And 2 cones. I waited over 20 minutes. My order came. There was 10 hash browns(at least he got that one correct) 1 french fries. And 0 cones. When went back to the receipt. Thats what they charged me for. Anyway. EVERY time I've been to this McDonalds, no matter what I have ordered I end up getting sent to a reserve spot to wait for my food(fast food?)... Great quick stop when going over the Cajon Pass on the way to Las Vegas. Plenty of parking always. Hey, this is McDonald's, when you come here you know what to expect, some people gave this a low rating probably because there are always so many people here that it is not always tidy. I stopped here on my way from Los Angeles to Lake Tahoe. When I walked through the door, I had to shove my way through a crowd of people. This McDonald's is adjacent to a Chevron, and these two establishments have the only two restrooms at this particular rest stop. As such, the restroom line was absurdly long. The line for the restroom extended all the way to the front counters. There were almost as many people in line to order food, and our order took about 20 minutes. We noticed that the kitchen prioritizes drive thru customers. This may be a better option, as it will likely take less time and you can wait in the comfort of your car and escape the crowds. This was definitely not a quick stop, so if you're in a hurry you may want to go somewhere else. read more

This is the only McDonald's close to Mt. High. So if you need to fuel up before you hit the slope, your choices are limited; eat here, in town if they are open or pay the crazy high prices at Mt. High just for some cereal or muffin. This is a very small McDonald's, in fact, their parking lot is larger than the building itself. Service is good and the restroom are kept up to a standard. They also have a drive through, figure I state the obvious in case anyone needs to know. Besides that, everything else is pretty much just like the rest of the other McD's. read more

This has got to be one of the most disgusting McDonald's I've ever been in and I've been in thousands around the world. I understand that it's probably one of McDonald's busiest locations, due to it being one of the few places on this stretch of the 15 FWY, but that should mean they make enough money to update and maintain this place. However, the condition and cleanliness of the restaurant is appalling. There is no excuse for this place to look like this, and the place is still sporting that early 90's decor, which is all torn up too. All I can say is WTF? Seriously? I went thru drive thru with my family on March 21 2018 at 8:00pm and placed an order. Once I got to the window we decided to cancel the chicken nuggets because we found a mobile coupon buy one get one free. They politely cancel the nuggets with no attitude as I would of got in other mcdonalds. Then I had issues with the mobile app and I came across a young man as I was walking in so nice so polite and asked if everything was ok. I told him the issue he kindly said I would of been happy to help you but am taking out the trash but my manager can help you. The manager help me with the mobile app which still didn't work. With no hesitation he gave me the mobile offer. In other mcdonalds I would of been told we can't give u the offer it's from the app. I was given my order by the same girl from the drive thru she walked to me and hand it to me. This was the 1st and ever best experience I've had at a mcdonalds. We need more people and service like these 3 individuals gave me. I have been here and watched the managers yell at the crew. Poor service and awful managers. Not only that consistent for expired food. With managers whom cannot conduct themselves in a professional manner. I would rather drive up to the desert for better service and not rotten food!!!! A culinary highlight of the West. My hat's off to the management for recruiting the new head chef, Trevor. I have walked 340 miles of Southern California searching for the best chefs and I can say a master. Sure, it takes skill to cook all of the French classics, but to make the basics shine like Trevor does takes a prodigy. The cheese on my McMuffins was perfectly melted, and the hash browns were a magnificent balance of of crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.
