Two weeks in a row I ordered a biscuit, and I was given a McGriddle. Today (9-29) I went inside to get the right sandwich, and my sister and I were left standing there for 10-15 minutes, while MEN around us, who walked in minutes after we did, got helped first. We tried to get the workers attention, but they ignored us twice before we were finally helped, and then we were talked to like we were incompetent. I have never had this kind of interaction before and I can't help but wonder if they chose not to help us for so long just because we were females. 10:30 at night, house and area was under a blackout & this Mcdonald was listed as 24 hour so I give it a shot. So did many others & the inside was closed- only drive-thru was open. The wait was over 5 cars in 2 separate lines, but phone could charge & had internet. Once at speaker, I was told another 5 minutes till I could order... I realized why so many cars have left. After 5-10 minutes, I ordered 2 Egg McMuffins and waited. During that time, I realized that the manager must be holding the line to keep service time low for restaurant average during the unusual event. Also, somebody shut-off the "free wi-fi". For the business I understood, but as a customer with no power or internet & LTE service not working well, I was angry. I regret feeling like I have to write this review, but I must. I pulled up to the drive-thru last weekend; I am hard of hearing, meaning that it is extremely difficult for me to hear the drive-thru walkie. As I was pulling up with regrets and unfortunate thoughts on my mind, I noticed that this location has a sticker saying, "customers with speech or hearing disabilities please pull up to the next window for assistance in ordering." I became ecstatic, thinking I would be able to finally communicate my order clearly instead of having my girlfriend order for me. My hopes were dampened by the lady at the first window, who told me to go to the next window. I explained to the lady at the second window that I was hard of hearing and that the lady at the first had sent me ahead, instead of taking my order. She proceeded to ask me questions such as "this order has one large caramel frappe. Is this yours?" I answered with a "no ma'am, I am hard of hearing and I need to place an order." "One bacon, egg and cheese biscuit? Is that yours?" "No, ma'am, please, I need to place an order. I have not ordered yet." "What about one large iced tea and two hash browns? Is this one yours?" Finally, I was able to place an order, but only after almost two minutes of repetitive conversation, not to mention her body language irrefutably displayed extreme inconvenience. There should be a pen and pad at the window at all times to prepare for such a circumstance as mine; imagine if I had had a speech impairment. I wouldn't have been able to order; I would have gone about my day, extremely frustrated because of this. And even me, being hard of hearing, that I did. Imagine somebody, pulling into the drive thru, consciously being at a disadvantage, trying to order, and having to over-compensate for themselves. This happened to me, and the occasion has been on my mind ever since then, so I am writing this review. All in all: the employees at this location are not adequately trained for people who may have disabilities and are coming through the drive-thru. To the woman who took my order at the window: if you are bored, please don't take it out on me. Don't take it out on anybody; take your time here, and make it positive. Crack a joke with a customer! Tell somebody "good job," because what goes around, comes around! Even spreading the positivity will make you happier and will instantly uplift your mood. Last night I had to wait 15 minutes for 3 burgers. I received my order and it was wrong, so I sent it back. Instead of doing a quick refire I think I was sent to the back of the line. After 15 more minutes I went up front and stood there, where other customers had also been waiting half an hour for their food. A few minutes later I got my food, but McDonalds is supposed to be fast. I don't feel it should ever take half an hour to get an order at any fast food joint. Last time I was here it took about 15 minutes, so this is not an isolated incident. Both this McDonalds and the one down the street from it are awful for their wait times, so I don't really have one near me that is okay to go to. read more

Every time I go to a McDonald's, it is a new adventure. I always think I have seen it all as far as screwing something up, but never fail, some McDonald's restaurant somewhere always proves me wrong. This time, I had a craving for nuggets, so I figured I would swing by since I have not had them in quite awhile. I go inside because every time I do the drive through at any McDonald's, something gets screwed up, so if I go inside, I have a chance to correct their errors. I see on their price board that they have 20 of them for $4.59. Ok, not so bad, so I order it. I'm going to go with thinking that the person who wrung up my order was on her first day, or at least first day without training, because she was utterly clueless. After spending a minute trying to explain what I wanted (20 piece McNugget shouldn't be too hard to comprehend), she tells me that the total was $5.39. Now, I know that Missouri's sales tax rate is ridiculous, and O'Fallon loves to tack on their own sales tax, but 80 cents sales tax on a $4.59 purchase? Something was amiss, and sure enough, I was billed $4.99 for my purchase. I point this out to the lady who took my order and she gave me a deer-in-headlights look as I tried to explain the discrepancy. She called over who I presumed was a manager and I explained the discrepancy between what was on the receipt and what was on the board. Her 23-year old cocky attitude came out and was like 'just give him 40 cents back.' I then explained to her that it was really 43 cents because of the extra sales tax and after a bit of back and forth, she agreed and I got that back too. The woman who took my order was just baffled at this whole thing and wanted to know why the register was ringing up the wrong price. Ms Attitude exclaimed 'I have no idea why the prices are different and there is nothing I can do about it,' and promptly walked away. I am sure this is just one of many reasons why McDonald's sucks so bad. So at any rate, having getting all of that straightened out (at least for me...until someone else comes along and gets screwed), I go home and of course, the nuggets are old and cold. Sigh. I don't have the time or energy to go on a rant about how bad McDonald's as a whole is, but this is just a pair of examples as to why I am confused as to how and why McDonald's is so big. But this location sucks and if you can, take your money elsewhere. read more

If I could offer less than one star I would. We stopped at this McDonalds while traveling. We went inside as we had been in the car all day. We were not greeted and we waited to be addressed, as we chose not to use the kiosk. That is still an option, and there were no other guests in the lobby as the one gentleman got tired of waiting and left. The young man that took our order, left just minutes after that, as we watched him leave. The girl that delivered our food also delivered an attitude. She dropped the tray on counter, yelled the order out as we were standing right in front of her. She was very rude, and there was some discord going on in the kitchen that seemed to be pouring over the counter. Our food was not hot, the sandwiches were cool and dry. The manager was having a debate about a large sign in the window. We were the only people seated at this point in the restaurant. She climbed on the table, dropped a heavy sign on the the table, all right behind me as I am trying to eat my lunch. I am not certain about what dust may have been flying around as she whipped the sign, but rest assured it landed on me and my lunch. My husband had a lovey view of her climbing on the table to do this. Again, at time when she could have waited. The cleaning closet was standing wide open the entire time in the dining room and that was our view. The staff is terribly rude, inattentive , the food sub par, and the cleanliness is not up to standard. I will never go here again as we pass through the area! My friend and I meet for coffee every Friday, and because the Bread Co really loves the price of their overpriced coffee, and because McDs have really good coffee, we started meeting at this McDs. I was always struck by the slow service, but today I got a glimpse into why it is SO slow. Jo at the counter is wonderful, but she is only ONE person. There is no way she can run a morning rush, get food, and keep coffee made, all at the same time. So, I notice this tall brown haired male manager just a'taking his time,sauntering out to deliver a cup of coffee to a lady who looked like she was growing impatient. Then, as I was getting ready to leave, I went to top my coffee off and there is Mr Manager texting on his phone and chit chatting with the help. A fellow behind me is waiting for some butter, just hoping someone will look at him to help, and I am there just trying to get a refill. Forgive me, Lord, but I lost it on Mr Manager. He told me he was texting with his manager, and while that may be the case, his first priority is the CUSTOMER, which he was obviously disinterested in, as was Ms co-Manager. The problem with the Hwy K McDs is that they have no understanding that, though McDs may give it to the employees anyway they want, the employees are there to give the customers what they want. I may only enjoy a cup of coffee on Fridays with my friend, but it will never be at that McDs again. read more

This McDonalds infuriates me. Every single time I stop here I end up driving away pissed off at them. Quite an accomplishment. They "throttle" their drive-thru for no apparent reason, leaving people sitting there at the order station with no one on front of them for minutes. This causes artificial delays, and wastes my time. It has also made me miss the 10:30am "breakfast" time cutoff, which they apparently believe is the word of god. And never, ever use the right order taker station lane in the drive thru - they take the orders of the left lane twice as quickly, people that pulled up well after you will get their food before you. This McDonalds is the worst I've ever encountered with understanding their market segment ("fast food"). I refuse to use this McDonalds anymore, and would prefer to spend 5 extra minutes driving to a further one than allowing this one to waste the same 5 minutes. I recommend everyone use the McDonalds a few miles south, near the intersection of Hwy-K & Hwy N. They are sooooooo much better! The difference is night & day!! read more

I ordered 2 double quarter pounders, 2 large fries and 3 unsweet teas and had to wait on the burger in the wait line until they were prepared. When I arrived home, the burger on one of the doubles was raw, not just rare but quite undone. When I called the person that answered the phone kept saying "hello, hello" and clearly was not interested in what I had to say. The burger was cooked on the outsides but red and oozy in the middle, after one bite I took the patty off. If I end up with E.coli, I know where I got it from. For what the order cost, you think it could at least be cooked. read more

Stopped to grab a snack and drink on the way home from vacation it was around 12:30 am. The guy taking our order was very rude this being after a ten minute wait in line behind two other cars. After our order was finished we waited another 25-30 minutes to get our food which was French fries and a Coca Cola. Another employee apologized for the wait when we got to the window, but then took five minutes for our drink and fries and then forgot dipping sauce even though he included it when he said " here's your coke med fry and ranch." They have ridiculous wait times and something is always wrong with the order, I went back to have a replacement made today and they took the other burger back through the Drive through window, which I informed the attendant was an unsafe food practice, as I had actually taken the burger home and touched it with my bare hands and she took it any way. The reason this is unsafe is because food that is given to the customer is to be considered contaminated and, if still packaged can be confused for servable food.
