On Monday, March 29, 2021, at approximately 9:30 in the morning I went to my local McDonald's Restaurant, located at Routes 33 and 35, in Neptune, New Jersey, to pick up the breakfast order we had placed via the mobile app. This is a very busy McDonald's and has two separate drive-thru lanes that converge into one lane when you get to the windows to pay and to pick up your order. While waiting at the pick-up window I was the second vehicle, right behind the car directly in front of me. I drive an SUV so I had a very clear view into the car and its driver. I noticed an employee give a rather large plastic bag to the driver. The driver then started rifling through the bag and unwrapping each item to, presumably, ascertain what each food item was. Within minutes, an employee, in a managerial-colored shirt, asked the man to return the bag of food. He then complied and the employee then provided him with his order. I immediately noticed how his order was contained within a very small paper bag. I then concluded that he instantly realized he was given the wrong bag of food but yet wanted to capitalize upon the employee's mistake. After he pulled away, that same employee in the managerial-colored shirt gave me that same big plastic bag of food. I protested how the customer in front of me had opened up each food item and I refused to accept it. Because the line was rather long, I really didn't want to hold everyone up by waiting for my entire food order to be made again, I advised the employee that I would be calling McDonald's customer service number. As soon as I returned home, I called the customer service number, 1-800-244-6227, and relayed the facts to the representative and requested my money be refunded to me since the entire bag of food went directly into the garbage. She advised me that someone would be getting back to me within a few business days. That was Monday. On Friday, when I did not hear back from anyone, I again called the customer service number and was informed, once again, that someone would be calling me back. As of today, Thursday, April 15, 2021, there has been absolutely no attempt to reach out to me by anyone from McDonald's. I answer every single call to my cell phone regardless of the origin of the number and I religiously check my email, including the spam folder, throughout each day. I would like to note that this particular McDonald's Restaurant has made it a habit of providing the wrong order to drive-thru customers, as this has been done to me on previous occasions. Each time I immediately returned the food without opening up any food item. At this juncture, all I want is my warranted refund of $20.73. It will be three weeks soon and I strenuously believe that I have waited an ample amount of "business days." Quite honestly, it has become clearly understood that McDonald's has little concern for my justifiable, pandemic-driven, apprehension concerning a stranger putting his bare hands all over my food. read more

After ordering close to $30.00 of food I went to use the restroom and was stopped by an employee. I told them I had a medical condition and needed to use it. The employee directed me to the owner who refused to allow me the use of the men's room. I explained to her that it was illegal in this state to deny patrons the use of their facilities and that I had a medical emergency and needed to use the restroom. The owners reply was "to bad it's been closed to the public for a long time and we don't allow anyone to use the bathrooms". At that point I just left the restaurant. Going to put in a complaint with the county board of health and McDonalds Corporate Office. This is a privately owned franchise but I will never go to this particular restaurant again. Dispute the new renovations the interior of the restaurant appears pretty dirty as well and I would never eat their again. read more

Consistently screws up orders. I only go to the location because it is close. I've lost count of how many times I've ordered stuff in the drive through and had half of it not on the order when I go to pay, or not in the bag after I paid. Like many McDonalds they also like to try and not give you change that is 4 cents or less. "I didn't think you'd want a penny back" is the typical response. While that penny will probably get lost on the floor of my car I'd rather not have an employee of a billion dollar company assume I want to donate my change to them. read more

I have haven't been to a McDonalds in probably more than 10 years and this visit surely didn't renew my hope. We only came because our favorite beach ice cream spot closed and I had already told my toddler we'd get ice cream before heading home. As a last ditch effort, we came in mid afternoon and I was surprised to find it so busy! Tried one of the kiosks for ordering and it wasn't working. I made an order for an iced coffee and a soft serve cone on a different kiosk. We waited a surprisingly long amount of time and finally was told they had no ice cream! No ice cream at all?! We were offered a toy, cookies, or apple pie instead, but since that's the only reason we came in, I requested our money back and took my iced coffee to go. I thought it was strange that there weren't any self serve areas for straws and I wasn't given one either until I asked. As I got in the car I realized this was the strangest iced coffee I've ever had. It had cool-ish coffee in the cup with like 5 small pieces of ice. Overall, it was quite a disappointing trip and I doubt we'd return to McDonald's anytime soon. read more

Then I ordered a kids meal and it had NO toy. Instead they gave 2 sides of apples!!!! They could have told me at the window that they didn't have any toys. Pretty bad. Came with family and in-laws to visit the beach. Please don't look at me as if I asked for your kidneys when I ask for all of the items you forgot to include. I understand that things got busy, but it doesn't help when your staff comes in late, are out drinking McLatte's or sleeping when they should be working. This is the biggest dump ever. I am not joking. I live in Neptune and refuse to go here. They charged me $24 for a Big Mac and when I complained because obviously this was wrong the manager and the staff proceeded to tell me I was wrong. Not sure how a big mac is $24 and I was wrong but they were adamant. They then refused to give me back my money and took the big mac back!!!!!!! They refused to give me the owners number for contact and yelled expletives towards me. My only recourse was to call my bank and dispute the charge. The bank refunded the money ASAP. DO NOT GO HERE. The worst costumer service I have ever experience, and my expectations are pretty low when it comes to these establishments. We ordered a coke float that was advertised. Get the first window and she repeats the order as a coke. We correct her and explain it was supposed to be a coke float. Confused, she goes and gets her superior. Enter girl #2. She asks what we need? Explain again, we ordered a coke float ..not a coke. She says "oh, don't worry about it, he knows to make the coke float, we just change it that way." Ok, fine, so we pay. I let her know that i want to speak to a manager who I just talked to (assuming it was as the girl #2) She explains that she wasn't the manager and doesn't know who it was I talked to. I told her there was only so many people working right now and to go find her! She refuses of coarse and repeats her same line about how they don't sell a coke float and can't make it. I ask her if she has ice cream? Yes! And do you have coke? Yes! So put them in a cup together! Instead I get Wiley. He presents himself as the manager. He begins by apologizing. He doesn't want to hear what I have to say, but just wants me to accept his apology and go. I try to ask him why she would tell us that this product would be made if it couldn't?! As a last resort, my friend and I rolled up to the drive through on a Thursday night after being rejected by every ice cream place at the jersey shore essentially (why does everything close at 9 that is extremely lame). Anywho, I'll cut to the chase. We ordered 2 Oreo McFlurries. Rolled up to the window and received the McFlurries. After taking one glance, it was clear that the McFlurries had not been mixed even for a millisecond. What I'm saying is that we were handed a cup of mediocre vanilla ice cream with a thick layer of powdered Oreos on top. Probably 4 inches or so. Everyone knows McFlurries are supposed to be like a flurry essentially so the Oreos are supposed to be disbursed throughout like a snowstorm. This was not the case for my friend and I. What we received was not a homogenous mixture to say the least. The icing on the cake? We asked the drive through employee if they had been mixed, he looked confused, so we said aren't these supposed to be mixed? He said, nah, your alright. The end. read more

First encounter I was taking a doordash and they were closed so I went up to the window to ask if they can cancel it ( your rating goes down when you cancel an order even if it's the restaurants fault so they have to do it ) and the manager was screaming " go the f home we are closed " when I kept saying please just cancel my order and showing the doordash order through the window .
