How can a fast food place get it wrong every time you go? McDonald's in Mount Vernon, Kentucky has had a bad name for a long time. Hence, their stellar rating here! Hoping things were better, we have stopped there a few times in the past couple of weeks. Something has either been missing from our meal, or the food was completely inedible. The latter of which was this morning. My husband stopped by and got a meal for himself. He was hungry, so upon driving away he immediately took a bite of his fries. He had literally just been handed them, yet were cold and tough. His Quarter Pounder was barely warm and tasted so bad that he gagged and almost threw up, and then he got choked. He said that biting into the sandwich was like trying to bite into a sponge. Nothing about the sandwich was fresh, which is odd because at the time they had only been serving lunch for an hour. We've given them a second chance, and now, a third. We won't be going back. We will be stopping in for a refund tho, and bringing the uneaten food with us, because $9.19 for inedible food is ridiculous. read more

I tried to use drive-threw. As I pulled up I was told it would be just a minute. I waited 5-6 min w/o any response. Several people tried to use the other lane and drove off. Just went through McDonald's in Mt Vernon, after placing a 15.00 mobile order. Pulled through the first window was waved through. Get to the second window and the woman asked us out a little rudely what our order was. Barry tells her. She asks a little more rudely a second and third time. And then proceeds to tells us our order was canceled because they didn't have Carmel macchiato...as if it were our fault. Went to this McDonald's and the guy at the first window gave us a bunch of cold fries and we asked if my wife fries refresh the front window told us yes and they were cold so we went in and dealt with the problem. The manager that was on shift John fixed it, which was greatly appreciated, but the people at the store do you need to be trained better. So when you go there, make sure you check your food. read more

First of all let me say I don't expect much from a place like McDonald's. Stopped here for a quick bite to eat. Ordered a quarter pound with bacon and cheese with no bun. I asked for extra pickles and was told I'd have to pay.55 cents. I know that doesn't sound like much. But, I think since I got no bun they could toss the pickles in. They sure didn't take anything off my Bill for not getting a bun. The burger meat was flavorless. 5.39 cents is ridiculous for a burger like this! Guess I know why I never eat at MCD. read more

This place is a little murky, I might rename it MurkDonald's. I visited this McDonald's while trying to traverse Kentucky on a day when the entire Interstate was backed up for hundreds of miles. After one gridlock you would enter another and another. So I ended up taking back roads for most of my journey. I stopped here for the bathroom and the Wi-Fi and a few french fries. No problem at all. Actually a nice location. And the french fries were actually hot. read more

This is my double quarter pounder with no bun. Never seen a quarter pounder look this bad. Stopped on our way home to SC and we were there for over 30 minutes. Absolutely no toilet paper to be found in the building. They were rationing napkins. 6 teenage workers were on break by the bathrooms and did not help. They said they were on break when we just asked for napkins or toilet paper. They were vaping in the restaurant while in their uniforms. Looked for management and there was no leadership around. It was total chaos with ticket times over 20:00, which is ludacrjs for McDonalds. Order came up and the hand burgers were barely in their wrapping paper, fries were cold, and they forgot the drinks for the kids meals and they didn't get the toys. Overall, I would never ever ever suggest anyone to go in here. Go to Wendy's down the street. What an embarrassment to the McDonalds corporation. read more

Been waiting in the drive-through for over 30 minutes. The staff is utterly incompetent. If you cannot staff your restaurant appropriately, you may consider shutting down your drive-through or inside for a period of time. This is absolutely unacceptable. read more

I used to work at this particular location, and I can say it would be better to use your money elsewhere. This review will be long but worth the read: I'm not one to put out information about a work place but this environment needs shut down. I started working there February of 2019, and it was my first job. I did not know what to do, as I was not trained at all. The managers there were always rude and hateful, it felt like every employee was walking on eggshells around them. They hardly ever wear gloves there, and most of their cooks are VERY gross, hygiene wise. Even gross in the sense of going outside for a break and smoking a cigarette, coming back in and making food without washing hands. Most of the employees would go outside and smoke marijuana in the parking lot. They overworked me the entire time, they hardly ever kept the place clean, only time they would really actually clean was when the higher management was coming in. Then, they always had me use toothbrushes to clean the floor and coffee pots, etc. They often times would make jokes about customers, and management would pretend to care about the customers problem to their face, and then go behind the counter and laugh at what their issue was. I ended up quitting a few months later; I didn't like the coworkers, managers, or the overwork for little pay. But in all seriousness, I don't recommend. read more

Slow Monday evening, one person standing in front of me and I had to wait over 5 minutes to get waited on. I asked for a hot fudge sundae but was told "the ice cream machine is down". The dining room had trash all over the floor and looked like it had been neglected for hours. Went to Wendy's, several people in front of me, got waited on in less than a minute and walked away with a large vanilla Frosty. If there was a negative star I would pick it. This place is horrendous! I go to this location and order a mcextreme, which is something from Spain that sounded really cool. Girl at the front handed us the wrong ticket so they were calling our number and when we asked about it being ours the girl giving the food out became hateful and telling us we were wrong and then got upset that we asked for our fries to be rewarmed and she jerked the bag up and stormed off and then our deluxe chicken didn't have lettuce and when we asked for some we were told we had to pay for it. read more

The woman's restroom as out of toilet paper and the employee rolled her eyes when we asked for paper (and she was entering the bathroom herself!). I ended up threatening to use napkins if they couldn't get tp. Then I went to order and they have no large sized cups. No worries, they will still charge you the same price. This is a very nice location and a good place to stop if you are traveling up or down I-75. The value menu has changed lately and is not as good as it used to be but, they do have specials now and then. Food quality is usually sub-par, staff is unorganized and sloppy, orders take 3-4x as long as they should, on multiple occasions I've gotten wrong items with a note in the bag saying "we're out of x, here's x instead" instead of asking me if I wanted a substitute, staff is typically rude. Worst location in Bakersfield. read more
