I legit had to have a debate about getting a side of tartar sauce that I was willing and offered to pay for! Every McDonald's I go to simply puts it in a four piece nugget container problem solved. This particular location wanted to argue with me about getting the side of tartar sauce and say they don't do that at this location. Now I completely understand why they're rating is what it is. I don't expect gourmet food at a fast food restaurant but I do expect a common sense approach to customers. Clearly that's not what they value at this location. I recently visited McDonald's and was extremely disappointed by the way the staff treated me. From the moment I entered the restaurant, it was clear that the staff were disinterested in providing good customer service. Everything is done with using a machine now and you dont even get the personal connection with a person taking your order. My wife and I are traveling from Kentucky to Orlando FL and in the process we decided to stop at McDonalds because their food and their tea are normally really good. As we walked inside the restaurant we were met with the machines, (which I really cant stand using because its not an experience any customer really wants to be faced with. We dont pay for machines to take our orders, we pay the people.) Anyways we ordered from the machine and continued to place our order because we were hungry and just wanted food at this point. I know McDonalds has been making changes to their ordering system as of late but through that we pressed on. We ordered 2 Cheesesburgers that were very small and didnt even seem like there was any meat to it. We also ordered Chicken nuggets. My wife also likes the Dipping Sauces so we ordered 6 Sweet N Sour sauces. We paid for 2 and when we got the bag of food we were given 4. I asked the lady specifically if I could have 2 more and in a rude tone I was told "But sir, this is our food cost that we have to watch!" I was very displeased by the lady that I walked away with the words "Thats ridiculous!" That being said as I was leaving, I looked at a table that no one was sitting at, and there were 3 Honey Mustard sauces on the table just sitting there. Watching your Food cost huh? MANAGEMENT is absolutely horrible! The three decided to sitin the dining area at 2 pm, while LOUDLY and AGGRESSIVELY complaining about the job and work environment for all to hear. Saying things like, "today is the day, I'll let loose on them, I don't care." Today is Father's day. All we wanted to do was grab a quick bite to eat with my family before we set off for a day full of adventures. But NO, our day started off with angry and inconsiderate people, cussing and making threats against others. Normally, I wouldn't even care. Usually I'll be entertain by this, but my 4 years old said to me, "mommy i dont ever want to come here ever again, its very scary, i wanna go home". So of course, as a mother that upsets me because my kids asked to come here rather than any other place we could've gone for fathers day. Everyday this week I have purchased a a ice cream sundae. Today I went in due to the drive thru working being rude. The manager made my sundae. I went home and ate my dinner, knowing I would eat the sundae for dessert. I started to put nuts inside of the sundae and there was a bug frozen inside my strawberries. Horrible experience today!! 2:30 pm so lunch rush is not a good excuse. Inside was chaos. The person who took the order at the drive thru was not the same person who took the payment. A key holder had to be called to correct the order charges. The last time I drive thru we did not get the nickel toy so I asked if we could get 2, which caused an entire landslide!! I only received 1 drink, because the person at the payment window adjusted the order, so i had to pay for another drink, which I received a medium but the advertisement says, "any size drink for $1.00. This used to be the best McDonald's in our area! We ordered food in the app, told them the code, showed them the code in the drive thru, and they simply said the order never came up. We showed them our email receipt showing we already paid for the food. They refused to give us our order. I'm sorry but from now on, we'll only be ordering from the Chick-Fil-a app. Chick-Fil-a doesn't take money from people in the app and then refuse to give them their order. This is a special McDonald's to me due to the sheer ingenuity the staff have for messing up the food. I recently ordered a plain Quarter Pounder with cheese and received a double bacon burger all the way with a patty that had a cold red uncooked center. At a restaurant with levels of automation where the food basically cooks itself, I applaud the team for keeping it interesting by finding ingenious new ways to serve incorrect food. I give it 2 stars because the staff are actually extremely friendly and nice. They'll serve you an uncooked burger from a different order with a smile and friendly fair-well. I would like to say this particular location on Mt. Zion is one of my favorite locations to eat at. Never have I ever had an unpleasant experience ordering food or in the quality of my food. I know this is a VERY busy location at breakfast and lunch and expect some delays are possible. I would rather visit a very busy location where food is constantly flowing out the door and I know is has just been cooked, than to order from one that there is no cars in the drive through and 1 or 2 customers in the lobby where food is likely closer to its hold time expiration. Food for thought :) Next time you feel unhappy to have to wait on food, note how hot and fresh it is when you get it. Have used this location several times. Drive thru can sometimes be long, but that happens everywhere. This time we ordered breakfast (sausage, egg, cheese biscuits with hash browns & coffee). Our order was hot and tasty. We parked in their lot to eat and really looked at the property. Have to say this is possibly one of the best maintained McDonalds I've seen. There is a beautiful lush lawn with several benches as well as tables for customer use. There are two specific pet areas with multiple signs welcoming four-legged friends. So if you're traveling with pets, this is a wonderful location to stop! read more
