After waiting quite a while for my food, she hands me a bag of food. I reminded her I was dining in, so she put it on a tray. The "monster" burger was pitiful. Two thin, dried out pieces of meat, a couple of slices of nearly raw bacon, and a LOT of mayonnaise. I couldn't believe what a pitiful amount of fries were there. I took the burger back and asked for a fresh one. Told her the one they gave me looked and tasted like it had been sitting in the cooked bin for days. When I finally got the replacement, it was still two thin dried out pitiful pieces of meat. The bacon was cooked a little better but it had way too much mayonnaise. For less money I could've had a double quarter pounder combo at McDonald's, or a triple cheeseburger combo at Wendy's. At both those places it would've been hot juicy fresh meat, and at Wendy's lettuce, tomato and onion. I will not be going back to Hardee's, ever again. As far as "ambience", I go to the restroom to wash my hands after I had eaten. Apparently the towel bins were either broken or empty, so they had a roll of toilet paper sitting on top of one to use instead.

It looks like they were unstaffed greatly, as what looked to be two kids were left alone running the entire kitchen. After we ate, we drove around back to use the restroom; however, this location does not have any public bathrooms at all-- unlike every other Sonic that I have visited. The back bathroom is for employees only. Once we finished our meal, we went to through away our bag; however, the trash was full and overflowing. There was trash left on picnic tables, as well. The food was good and the wait was not bad; however, it seems management or staffing is a great difficulty for this chain location.

I want to share a deeply troubling experience my children and I had at a McDonald's in Monteagle, Tennessee. We ordered through the kiosk, and when we realized we were charged extra, we asked the manager, who said his name was Tom, for help. To our surprise, he told us there was nothing he could do to change the order since we used the kiosk. We asked if they could at least give us the coffee we paid for, which was on the receipt, but the manager became angry and told us to leave. Things escalated quickly when he called the police on us, even though all we asked for was what we had paid for. When the police arrived, we tried to explain the situation, but the officer dismissed us, saying he knew the manager well and trusted him. It was disheartening to hear this, as I believed the police were supposed to protect everyone equally. As we were leaving, the manager angrily yelled at me, telling me never to come back. When I tried to respond, the police told me not to raise my voice, even though the manager was the one shouting at me in front of my children. At that moment, I felt helpless and silenced, especially as a minority. We had no choice but to leave. I will never return to this McDonald's, and I just want others to be aware of how unfairly we were treated. read more
