I can tell everyone first hand nothing gets clean there. When I was there for work the food gave my food poisoning so I stopped eating it and they don't fix anything that is broke. They let coolers and freezers get hot for weeks before they call for someone to fix it. If you ordered extra a lit of the times he would yell because he don't wanna waist food. They throw food that was already on a sandwich back in the tray with the new stuff if you say "never mind I don't think I want that" he owner is cheap and needs to know you can't run a business cheap. Trust me when I say IT'S NASTY ! read more

After traveling eight hours on the interstate, we got off the exit to grab a bite to eat at sonic. We pulled up to this location at 8:15 pm after checking the hours online. The hours online and posted on the store stated they closed at 9:00 pm. I would not recommend visiting this location. It is distasteful when a chain restaurant can't provide reliable service or hours to customers-- especially off an interstate exit. Disappointing. read more

Bahagni, the lady always there, was extremely rude today. She is normally not very nice but today she yelled at me for getting too many sauces. read more

Stopped here on way to visit Sewanee. I am surprised by the low ratings as I considered this one of the better subways that I have visited. Buns were fresh, meat was good and toppings were good too. It does get busy here due to being right off interstate and limited options for fast service food when visiting. The place was clean and offered ample seating. read more

The food was great!!!! It was so clean!!!! The service was amazing too. Very kind employees! I recommend it!

As good as any subway. The service is always prompt and friendly. The restaurant is always clean.

I used the app to order my meal. More or less options were completely ignored. I asked for more onion and wrote in special instructions that I wanted a good amount of onions. I opened my sub to find exactly 7 single pieces of onion over the whole footling. Ordered 3 items for a total of almost $50. Even the mozzarella they charge $3+ had only 1 mozzarella per side of the sandwich and all the other restaurants use 3-4. For a sandwich to include everything but lettuce these are the smallest saddest sandwiches I have ever seen. I was so excited for this subway in our area but I've been bitterly disappointed. read more

Subway - Does this look like extra onion? Missing the vinegar and oil. This is supposed to be the stand out sub. - Sandwiches Near Me - Monteagle, Tennessee

Highly recommend Great service and they we're very clean and super sweet and helpful. The food was AMAZING read more

Umm, while I have been to hundreds of Subways, this place a absolutely the worst! First, lets talk about customer service...when there are a dozen people in line waiting to order and pay, you can stock the straws and napkins later. There is one person making sandwiches and another running around like a chicken with her head cut off! The washrooms are absolutely nauseating...piss all over the floors, toilet paper all over the floor, and no paper towels to wash up. The food was blah...the sandwich meat was dry and the bread was toasted to a crumble. And when it came time to throw the stuff away, alas, the garbage can was overfilled and spilling onto the floor! Sorry Subway, I had never before been disappointed with your quality, choices, and service. But, this place needs a Regional Management inspection!!!!!! read more

No real complaints. Nothing I ordered wowed me either. Sandwich was decent. I got the usual- six inch spicy Italian on wheat--- all the veggies, salt, pepper, oil and vinegar. If this was the closest and only available place for food... sure! I'd go again. read more

Subway on the mountain be prepared to wait. Ordered through the app to get promo discount but when I arrived at the time to pick up they had not even started the order. I requested my sandwich not be toasted but was toasted anyways. Once we got our order, the food is good. We have been 3+ times and each time there is such a delay getting food, trouble working register, or order not received. Just plan extra time coming to this location. read more

The was a manager very rude he was down right disrespectful. The man kept reminding us rudely that extra meat costs more which of corse we've been plenty of times and ordered the same thing we know. And I guess they also don't participate in coupons because he said he they won't take them and stopped making the sandwich and looked at me as if I wasn't going to pay. There was no common courtesy he was just expecting us not to pay. He was disrespectful and we were not treated like customers. read more

Stop in there 4/8, what a mistake. First we asked did they serve the new melt sandwich. Both employee answered yes we do, so my husband ordered one. The girl began fixing normal steak and cheese sandwich, which is totally different than a melt. We told them that wasn't the right way for it, Then the older woman blew up hollering very rudely about how they were a independent store and they didn't serve them. Why did they answer yes when we ask? We told them to keep the sandwich. Both employees where rude and loud, especially when we told them how good the one in Jasper was. A shout out to that employee in Jasper, for the best sandwich place very attended and nice too. I'll never be back to Monteagle very unprofessional and rude. read more

I came here today for a takeout dinner and I just moved to this area was let down badly when coming in we noticed that the employees couldn't take the overflow of people very well and were sorta rude, I couldn't really tell until I was getting my sub that they almost touched my sub without gloves because they weren't really focused and I ordered 2 foot longs but one wasn't really a foot long it's like they were scarce to put meat on my steak and cheese and the condiments on my second sub took over all the sandwich away all I wanted was slight mayo and I got a copious amount but anyway I wouldn't recommend this until they put their employees in check. read more

Card machine did not work. Stood there 15 min in line to find this out after they made the sandwiches. Then he told us and was throwing the food away. Do not recommend read more

I love Subway sandwiches. This shop doesn't follow Subway guidelines. Subway should get rid of this franchise owner. We could use a real Subway on the mountain. read more

Wanted to do a more recent review. It hasn't gotten any better since 2011, owners are still rude and talk to you as if you are bothering them, toppings are old and nasty, and the cheese is hard. read more

This place is great if you like eating bricks. Veggi patty was waaaay over cooked and the toppings werent very fresh. Not to mention the customer service and cleanliness were mediocre at best. read more

read previous review, and multiply times ten. Subway should open another one across the street and level this one. Yuk.

The owners of this location are rude and don't give a hoot about customer service. They will talk on their phone while taking your order. If you order a meatball sub you would think the sauce is worth its weight in gold. They be wanting to keep that stuff. Dry ass meatball subs. Worst Subway I've ever been to. read more

I get that this place hasn't gotten a review in a while so here we go. It's not nearly as bad as the other reviewers said. The restaurant was clean and the food was standard for a subway. The only real negative was that you could tell that the previous bad reviews had reduced traffic to the restaurant so the bread was probably baked at the start of the day and not just a few hours before like I am used to. Overall, average food with good service. Not much to complain about. read more

I hadn't been to this Subway for some time due to poor customer service (we've lived in the area for ten years) but tried again today. Never again. The employee who added the toppings to my sandwich had the attitude of someone who wanted to be anywhere else but work and turned around and walked away when I thanked her for the sandwich, the sandwich bread was saturated with sauce (I ordered the pizza sub). When we arrived at the counter to order (with other customers waiting) only one employee was making sandwiches while the other two were nowhere to be found. This is the last time I'll buy a sandwich from this business. If you want quality food at the same price point, travel into Monteagle for far superior options. read more

I read the other reviews and was concerned but it was around 11 AM and there was nobody else in the place. We found the bread fresh and the sandwiches just like any other subway. Bathrooms could be a bit cleaner but often cleanliness or lack if from the person before you. I would stop here on my next trip to Chattanooga or the Ocoee read more
