The store was open, the drive through was staffed and they got my order correct - large coffee with two creams and a few ice cubes - which was nice to see. having just recently moved to Mendota Illinois I have this McDonald's twice and on both times I did not get the order. I placed most recently this evening as I before a road trip and number two value meal with a medium root beer and a 10 piece chicken McNuggets. shame on me for not validating the order and assuming that what I placed is what I would get and it wasn't until I got to interstate 39 before I realized I never got my quarter pounder with cheese sandwich. So a little bit of backstory on this. My boyfriend and I spent the weekend in Peoria for a concert. After a stay at a less than stellar hotel (review to follow this one) ... we were in dire need of caffeine. I was a bit of a holdout because I was still trying to hydrate so we eventually stopped here. I place my order via the kiosk and ordered an Oreo frappe. Only to be informed by a cashier who was absolutely lovely that their machine was broken. She was extremely apologetic and actually refunded me the entire price of the frappe and still gave me a large caramel iced coffee. Some of the best service I've ever received at any chain restaurant let alone McDonald's. My other two items were hot and delicious and very fresh. The restaurant itself was very clean and not at all chaotic like most McDonald's in the morning. So if you're ever in Mendota, don't hesitate to stop here! The kids working here at about 1 AM were nice. Its strange to have a 24 hour dining room. The digital menu indicates hash browns available 24 hours, however the counter person informed us this was not true. Due to the size of te store there are a limited number of fryers which prevents hash browns. The digital menu is produced for all of the stores and not individually. Good to know but way more information than I needed for a McDonald's. I am not a fan of fast food and this was no exception. I am a fan of 24 hour places to eat off the highway. Clean store. Well lit parking lot. Friendly staff. The food is reflective of the price you pay for it. read more

If I could give them a negative one star I would. 'm going to start boycotting not only this McDonalds but all McDonalds! There was a time when you could go to mcdonalds, place your order, pay, and receive your food in under three minutes (five if you had special request) not only would you receive your food freshly hot and delicious, but the customer service was outstanding! Greeted with a smile and finished with a thank you and come again. This is coming from someone who not only spends at a minimum of 100 a week at mcdonalds, but also someone who travels around daily eating at several different resteraunts. When the girl returned with my sunday and her unpleasant attitude, I said this coffee is ice cold and taste awful, ide like to just trade it for a coke instead please, she rolled her eyes and said in a very rude tone, SO YOU DONT WANT THIS COFFEE NOW, and before I could say no she slammed drive through window and returning with coke. Handed it to me out the window and slamming it again, no ty, have a nice day, come again, nothing but a roll of her eyes! I'm just getting tired of this, I have to work alot of hours to pay for this food I'm ordering and altimutly just throwing in the trash, cause theres no point In complaining cause the managers have worse attitudes then the employees! I mean your employees only act the way they are aloud to act, so if the manager's dont take pride in there job and just dont care then you cant expect the employees to care! Goning home to mn from illinois. Stopped in for lunch. I had to go in 3x to have my order completed. Forgot my fries. Forgot my drink and some other thing. Boyfriend opened his bag and he got fries instead of hashbrown and had to go in AGAIN. Apparently hashbrowns not available all day. Um, say what! Well, they shouldve said something when he ordered it. And my grandson didn't get the gorilla for his happy meal that I specifically asked for and was told...no problem.
