This McD's location is definitely one of the best around. It's the closest to my home, and I've eaten here more than a handful of times. When I'm in a huge rush, I know that no other local places (aside from the Wendy's in the same parking lot) will be as quick with my order and have it accurate. I have been asked to pull forward to wait a few times, but I've never sat and waited for more than 5 minutes for my food - even during lunch rush. This location has never gotten my order wrong, and I've never had a bad customer service experience here either. Overall for a quick, fast bite to eat; this McDonalds rates 5 stars compared to many MANY other McDs that I have visited. read more

I got to the drive thru, i asked for drink options and as I was deciding and asking about what drink to get, someone apparently a manager started yelling " sir pull up!" multiple times interrupting the person taking the order. Very rude behavior and unjustified as there was no one waiting in line and the order had been selected and was only choosing drink options. read more

Went through the drive thru and 45 mins later my family and I are still waiting for our food. All the drive thru parking spots are filled, the mobile order spots are filled, and two cars are pulled forward at the actual drive thru lane. Extremely disappointed with the experience at this McDonald's. My children were playing on the playground wearing sandals, and an employee snapped at them for having shoes on. I understand there are rules no shoes and socks required but they didn't have socks, and they weren't wearing bulky sneakers, just simple sandals. Instead of calmly explaining the policy or offering a solution, the employee chose to embarrass and scold young children in front of others. It was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. If you're going to have such strict playground rules, maybe offer socks for purchase like many other places do or at the very least, train staff to speak to children and parents with basic respect. read more

Depends on when you go through the drive-thru for this McDonald's, several employees have major attitudes. I had to repeat my order 5 times and then spelled out my drink. At this point they changed their tone and attitude to display their condescending feelings, instead of simply saying I'm sorry I have trouble hearing you, they display a frustrating tone and make noises like they're disgusted. Then when you bring it to the manager's attention, they do nothing, not even a simple apology. Not even one word of empathy or apology was expressed. Then my order was wrong after repeating it five times. I took the bag back in to have it corrected still no apology. When I began to take pictures of them they told me you can't do that. Well it's a public place and when I put my camera away, the employee with the pink top, trying to be conspicuous, flipped me the middle finger and then denied it. This McDonald's should be closed down. I used to think it was one of the best McDonald's I went to but again I found out wrong unless you know what shift to go through the drive-thru and what day of the week. I know Chick-fil-A and some of the other places are more expensive but it is well worth it to have a pleasant experience. McDonald's has a long ways to go to catch up to their competition and one place to start is proper hiring and training of employees. If employees treated customers like they did me today, at any other establishments, they would be fired on the spot. Obviously this employee is a direct reflection of their manager. I will be contacting the regional manager to see if anything can be done about this. One of the worst McDonald's out there. The people in the drive thru seem very mad at life. When you unwrap your food you can tell everything has been thrown together. They have major drink issues. Cokes taste flat and the Sprite was warm. We unfortunately watched a girl wipe a drink cup with her hand and then lick it off her hand only to continue to serve food. How this place passes inspection I will never know. The floors are always filthy and the drink machines need cleaning. You feel as if you need to take a shower after you leave. Check your orders before leaving. The drive up offered no sauces with our nuggets and I ordered a bun less double quarter pounder with cheese because I'm diabetic and all we got was two patties in a tray, plain. The receipt taped to the tray dome even said double quarter pounder with cheese , no bun and they still got it wrong. So we drive ten minutes back to the store just to correct an order that should have been right in the first place. Fast food places can do a lot of things to show their value to their customers. As we arrive the building is pitch black dark! All the boards are off. I've checked the time they still are open for almost an hour. I drive to another board to see if they are just having problems with the lights. Then I hear a girls voice say we are "closed". So I take a second look and I realize that's a LIE! I roll to the second window where this little dumb dumb tells me that they close at 10:30 which is a LIE! She told me that the website was printed wrong! I point out that the time printed on the drive thru window she just swung her head out was printed for 11. Once again she had the nerve to tell me that I couldn't read the sign right! At that moment I knew I needed to speak to a manager. She along with her team are the reason I see no reason to have a pay increase! Thankfully a cop was doing a traffic stop simultaneously I realize I must compose myself. The children in the backseat just want nuggets. I understand my angry fat kid deep inside wants to act out yet all I want to do is eat fries. After the exchange of words I realize that I wanted nothing to eat! The outside drive lane apparently rarely gets answered . I drive around to the window after 2 other cars orders were taken in the inside lane.The rude cashier ask what's was my order. Doesn't deserve a star. Burnt coffee. Only one line open when they advertise two lanes all day for drive through. Someone inexperienced at the drive thru. Didn't even ask me to take payment for my food. I had to tell them I hadn't paid yet. Diet have my order ready at the window. Had to wait to get my coffees and ask them to wipe off the coffee because they had creamer running down the cup. Still had to ask a second time at the pickup window for the rest of my order. Trying to remain polite the entire time for fear they were going to spit in my cup since I had to ask for my food so many times. The coffee I received was not even drinkable, severely burnt coffee like it was from the night before ( I ordered my food at 7:30 am for breakfast). This is not the first time I have had poor service and I wanted to give them a second. Drove up at around 7:03am on 10/20/19 to find the drive through attendant outside smoking. Tried to place my order, which I've done many times before but was met with a rude attitude and she sounded very annoyed that I would dare try to order food while she was outside smoking. If zero stars was an option... I ordered a coffee and a smoothie. I was asked to pull-up to the drive through waiting area and someone would bring it out to me. The next 5 cars behind me were asked to do the same. 5 minutes, 10 minutes, and the 20 MINUTES later I finally received my order when I went inside and asked for it (not something I wanted to do with covid-19 restrictions in place). I have given this location a few chances to get my order right. They have yet to do so. Every order has been wrong. Just this week I have ordered an egg & cheese bagel and both times, in one week, the order has been wrong. The first time they gave me a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit. I will start out by saying I have given this McDonalds MANY chances due to it being the closest to my home. However, I have not had a single one of my orders through the drive-thru be correct. I'm always missing a hash brown, a straw, sauce, or even one time an entire large fry. I don't normally write reviews, but after having 2 bad experiences at the mauldin McDonalds on butler rd. So the first time we order 2 happy meals, cheeseburger combo and 2 fish sandwich combos. Got home there was no fish on one of the sandwiches. Happy meals were missing fries and yourt. Went back they reluctantly gave a new fish sandwich, but no to the other missing items because we didn't bring everything back . Second time about a month later. Took our 3 grandkids there for dinner. Ordered and then the wait began. I stood at the counter waiting on order. Had to ask for cups for our drinks. Then after waiting about 10 minutes i asked the girl who took our order if there was a problem. She apologized and went to check. Came back with supervisor, he said our order had already been filled even after the girl said it wasn't Then proceeded to say it was giving out through the drive through. Had to wait another 15 minutes for them to remake our order. Didn't even get an apology from him. Very unprofessional. I will drive to simpsonville before going back there again. read more
