The Bun and Bones Club has cherry Coke in a can, which alone is a very good sign…read more The menu is pretty full on, with even the most basic burger coming with two patties and five toppings (you choose from a wide selection, similar to Five Guys). It's also very good value, with that burger priced at £5 and chilli cheese fries and trailer trash fries, meals in themselves, at £4. They also do wings which I shall go back to try. The trailer trash fries involve pulled pork and are really delicious - that's about as good as pulled pork as I've had in Manchester, I think better than Red's or Cocka Doodle Moo down the road in Hazel Grove. My burger involved some good quality bacon, a fried patty of mac and cheese. I would have liked some ketchup but couldn't see it around and feared insulting the staff by adding to their masterpiece! The burger meat isn't quite as good as Filthy Cow, but good nonetheless. Some of the other creations get pretty wild Almost Famous-style, including a donut burger (or is that Solita?). I really liked the set up of the restaurant which had red booths, country music playing and drinks served in plastic red cups. As is obvious from the review it takes a lot of the best of the other burger restaurants in Greater Manchester and puts them together in a winning combo. I am close enough to walk to this place, which is both good and bad for my health (especially as they do takeaway). No doubt I will be back.

If you check their social media they post a special on Facebook every Friday/Saturday and they're typically on par if not better than the usual line up on the menu. Not tried their fries in a while but the chicken wings are pretty good but definitely 2nd place to the Burger.

Now I'd been told Kev's is something a bit different and that I should make the time to get down infact I've even driven past many times but been on my way elsewhere so hadn't been able to stop. Today however I woke up with spare time (and no hangover) :) and praise be I did. He's got all your breakfast favourites in a bun, and he'll check how you like your bacon. His burgers though, my my... his burgers I had a double Bacon cheeseburger it was tasty, I also had a Bacon Lettuce and Mushroom because well I'm a growing boy don'tcha know...hmm... anyways bacon awesome, shrooms lovely maybe a little too much lettuce but that's hardly a bad thing. Got chatting to Kev a little while there as I was curious he's busy, and from what I could see not from through trade it all seemed to be return visits, regulars he seemed to know everyone who was turning up even to the point that some of them weren't saying there order it was just a nod and him asking if it was the usual. from speaking to him he relies on his return trade and return trade isn't in short supply and that's because he doesnt scrimp on the produce. His burgers aren't your cash n carry bulk (which I'd just like to add, because I'm wierd I actually really like bulk buy burgers used to get in the ones from costco but hey I like donner meat when I'm sober so maybe I have odd tastes) he gets his burgers from a butcher over in Bramhall... because well he figured if he had better burgers people would come back, and they do which I think speaks for itself, bare in mind that just round the corner from here there are pubs, McD's, KFC and various other eating establishments, but Kevs always has people standing outside it (as I say driven past it many times just today I was one of those people stood around it). It may seem odd, strange to talk about a burger van in this way but really if you get the chance get yourself down there. If you're trying to find the place when you're driving down the road there's a Snooker Club which is at the front of a small industrial estate, opposite a Carpet World, Kev's Kitchen is at the opposite end of the Ind.Estates car park from the snooker club, just infront of the railway bridge

Living in Portland I thought let's see how the guys in Manchester do a proper sandwich…read more So looking around on Yelp I noticed this place and I have walked by from the hotel a couple of times without noticing there are some restaurants. The old railway building. Thanks yelp for making me aware. They have a lunch special with a selection of burgers and a chicken sandwich for £10 (at the time of this review 07/2023). That includes a side of fries. I noticed every restaurant that you walk In the host will ask you about any allergies or intolerances. If you let them know you're they will let you know what to avoid. Or if they do not know they will send you a manager who knows. There must have been a huge problem with allergies and it is a great way to avoid it. It is, in the beginning, a bit annoying until you realize it is actually a good thing (I wonder if Mcdonald's to the same - I'll might have to try that). So I ordered the chicken burger with a breaded fried chicken breast some black pepper mayo sauce some salad, Onions, and a slap of avocado. WOW - the nicely tasting breaded chicken was fried to perfection and it was a really big piece without drying out. Good job! the "burner" was definitely the combination of chicken and that avocado spread mixed in With the black Peppercorn mayonnaise - an almost perfect bite. The bun was not too big to get in the way of tasting what's important all other ingredients have been fresh and am tasty the fries also fried to a crisp state without being burned. Hands down a surprisingly great burger. Oh, I will be back - the service was five starts as well quick, knowledgeable, and friendly!
