On our way back home from Indianapolis, we decided to make a quick and convenient stop at McDonald's. We had a good experience at the location on 82nd Street. We ordered a variety of food through the app and picked it up in the drive-thru. The sandwiches and nuggets were good, but the fries were neither fresh nor hot. If I could give this location zero stars I would. They are beyond rude every single time I go. The first couple of times I blew it off, but it kept happening. I usually go to a different location because it is on my way to work. There, they are super friendly and helpful. They have NEVER gotten my order right at this location. I used to cone here almost every day, but the frustration with the lack of desire on the part of the employees to simply do their job has driven me away, If I am in drive through Lane 2, why do you put my order up on the screen in Lane 1 and then ask me if everything looks correct on the screen? I can't see the screen because it is 20 feet away! When I ask twice for hot mustard for chicken nuggets, and you repeat hot mustard to me, why do you then give me honey mustard? I'm not a big fan of leaving negative reviews because everybody has a bad day once in a while, but unfortunately, these types of mistakes happen nearly every time I visit this location now. Add in the fact that they are simply not taught to say please when asking for my money or thank you when I give them my money (which I could choose to spend anywhere), and they ask me time and time again if I "want my change" (to which I reply "why wouldn't I, I work hard for my money"..... This location has gone from ok, to not the best, to really bad. The ONE exception is a man obviously from a more customer friendly generation named John that often works the drive thru window. Give that a man a promotion, because he could train your staff nicely! I am so frustrated with this location, they use to be so awesome when they fist put in the double drive thru. I have visited this location at least once weekly. I have to say the service has gotten horrible. The first instance I ordered a Big Breakfast meal, I didn't get a gas brown which I paid for. Okay no big deal. I immediately handed it back and said, I am sorry I think I told you the wrong item. I ordered the number 4, a sausage biscuit with egg meal or combo. Note she handed me a large coffee also. Which should indicate a meal. He manager, an African American woman was talking to her. She asked me for a receipt. I told the cashier I didn't need a receipt. Since I never had this issue before. She finally handed me the correct order. Today, I went through the drive thru. Paid, same white young lady with blond hair is working the pick up window. She ask me, "you had a sausage biscuit with egg and a hash brown?" I said, yes. I get to the dealer to have my vehicle serviced. I just went to this location after work to get something to eat. This location is advertised as being open 24/7. That's supposed to mean 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, right? Nope! I pulled up to the drive thru menu and was told, "we're closed to prepare for breakfast". I asked if I could order food and she promptly told me no. This specific restaurant was nasty. All of the trash cans were overflowing, the tables and floors were gross, and no one got what they ordered. A family sitting close to us did not get any fries with their order, and our order was missing the kids meal toy and chocolate milk and the fries were WAY overdone. So I'd never really had any issues with this location, except for the occasional rude employee, something missing from my order, and the less than pleasant drive-thru. But it's probably not fun to work at McDonalds, employees do get busy and forget things, and the workers can't really control impatient people in the drive thru almost hitting each other. And there's also the manager who likes to have his silver Camaro hosed down by the employees while blocking in the way to get into the establishment from the back. Again, very minor stuff. However, the other night, we decided to go through the drive-thru and get some food. We were in a rush but were told to pull forward to wait on some Quarter Pounders. No problem! We waited around 20 minutes or so which isn't an issue as long as we get what we paid for. But when I got them back home, it took me and my family some number of bites to notice that our burgers were still very pink in the middle. They'd never been that way before so I didn't even think to check them. Within the next few hours we all got very sick with all things stomach related and it lasted until the next day. Because of this I don't think I'll ever be able to go back to this McDonalds or just in general. I really can't even think of their food without becoming nauseous now. It was fine when it was just little things that happened but now that we have been physically sick from their food, it's no longer a place we will consider going. I walked in and was immediately met by what I can only describe as a strong odor of a dead animal! went in to this shabby old McDonald's with the sole purpose of using the men's restroom. The dirty bathroom actually smelled better than the ordering and eating area. I have the worst headache even am hour after quickly exiting this disgusting location.
