Goving them zero stars. Placing my order the Mgr or assist Mgr, talking , can't hear becuause all the background noise. In addition the menu did not inform me #6 or #7 comes with coffe. She asked what drink. When I asked her to remove the extra coffee because the menu did not inform and the sun makes it difficult to see, she exclaimed "impossible!" When I asked her at the widow what that meant she avoided. Asked if she removed the coffee and explained all I say here. "Yes" I did. She did not remove the extra coffee. Extremely slow busy hours. You would think they would prepare for it. Highest paying McDonald's in the state with the slowest wait time in the morning. No one says anything at the driver through. Worst damn place I've been to. The food tastes like shit, end 80% of the time, they get the orders wrong. I would not recomen this place. The sprite is like 75% ice, so I'm not doin shit but drinking water. One of the worst places I've been to. They have a place inside for eating, but it's ALWAYS closed. The one thing I order is is large fries, and the give me small fries...half empty. I've literally never met anyone so damn stupid in my entire life. Is it that hard to get people large fries, of a burger with just meat and cheese? NO! I wish it were possible to give a ZERO star review. Those guys really need a brain replacement. I know everyone in the restaurant/service industry is struggling since covid to get good employees, but my last three orders at McDonalds in Los Alamos have been wrong. I won't go back if they can't take the order correctly. I asked and paid for two hamburger patties for my dog, they were not in the order. I asked for diet Dr. Pepper. They gave me regular Dr. Pepper and didn't tell me they don't have diet Dr. Pepper. They added a serving of large french fries to my order instead of taking the order properly in the first place, which was for a large order that included a large drink and french fries. Wow! I had the best service here the drive through worker (Elijah Alvarez) was so polite. I told him I didn't have enough money so he didn't make me pay. My bill was 42.67 but I forgot my wallet he just gave it to me for free and through a ton of free stuff In There too!! He gave me my food with a heart on it. That was last month. Stopped by on Sunday July 23 for lunch. They had no hamburgers - none! Ordered chicken sandwiches and had to wait over 10 minutes to get order. Opens bag and discovered that there were no napkins. This is really a sad way to run a "fast" food establishment. read more

Ordering here is a disaster. The have the computer screens, but they are very hard to use. I ordered through the app and then stood near the counter. When my order was ready (without the drink I ordered included) they walked right by me with it and started visiting every table in the place and offering them my tray. I had to chase them down, and go back to the counter to renegotiate for the drink I ordered and payed for. Too bad the service is not good. The food was fine and the restaurant was clean. read more

this is a franchise owned independent mcdonalds. the store manager is Naomi Naomi she got very upset and declined my use of a survey receipt coupon from a santa fe mcdonalds saying she only accepts los alamos store coupons. yet other mcdonalds in the area completely support all mcdonalds promotions Naomi seemed upset i wanted to use a receipt coupon. she came across as very money hungry and could care less about customer satisfaction- which is fundamental to a successful business. under Naomi's management this store is not set to do well. Naomi is a young all tattoed up store manager who clearly has little experience to her credit. read more

Just picked up fries & 2 hot mochas. Fries - good Hot and salty and tasty. The mochas were NOT mochas. Some kind of hot, overly sweet, vanilla goop. No mocha flavor in it. Yeech! I got sick on their quarter pounder. Called up and they said I was to talk to the Manager in the morning. This has happened before as of if there's a problem of any kind the boss in charge always sends you to the manager who's not there at the time you need help. Poor leadership. If you're going to put someone in charge, make sure they can stand up to the challenges that may arise. They had excuses as of they have no idea how I got sick. Well as a retired USDA Inspector it's usually preparation, poor refrigeration, and also thawing on the way to the store then freezing it. You mean to tell me you can't tell when your shipment comes in and you don't know the difference between thaw and frozen? The truck also has a refrigeration and should be checked regularly even when the shipment comes in. Common sense, but I shouldn't expect much. read more

I've stopped in at the new McD's a few times. Daytime staff is generally pretty good. Young blond girl (Dana?), young African American man and young Hispanic man are standouts in terms of fast, friendly service. Food is what it is---nothing too exciting. Don't know if the prices are jacked in comparison to other McD's. One staffer, a youngish red headed guy with pierced nose and covered in tats could not treat customers in a more unfriendly, contemptuous manner if he tried. He oozes hatred for the customer and his job and can barely bring himself to show a minimum of good manners, much less courtesy and good customer service. This is about the sixth time he has treated me this way. I won't be going back for a seventh. read more

Standard McDonald's. Clean restaurant in a safe area. I ate here a couple times a week for a couple of months while working at LANL, no complaints. It is one of the only places open late in the evening in Los Alamos. read more

Ugh... this town... my hamburger was RAW!! I've been going to McDonald's for years!! And I got a quarter pounder and IT WAS RAW!! Both of my parents burgers were fully cooked and tasted fine. We would have taken it back but wasn't worth the gas money. Also the ice cream machine is broke 77% of the time (I know shocking). Finally they are SLOW! Disappointing. This is their new location in Los Alamos, and I decided to give them a try. The quarter pound cheeseburger was ok - about what I expect from occasional visits to other Golden Arches. But the fries were a major letdown. McD's everywhere usually have great fries; these were lukewarm and soggy. Yuk! And they only partially filled the standard fry carton. So overall the food was disappointing, and I feel ripped off to boot. read more

This mcdonalds isn't all that great. But it's the only place I can get hot french fries late at night. I've found that the service is usually better at night time, but at the end of the day it's just a McDonald's. Try and stay away from this place in the morning it's a clusterf*ck. read more

The new location has, more often than not. worse service than the old one. There's a certain level of obliviousness in the staff and any changes to your meal (pickles, milk type, etc.) must be repeated, especially while in store. Menu prices are higher than "off-hill" locations and the upcharges for certain drinks are not only twice as much but not spoken of so that you end up being charged much more than expected. When asked about the sudden change of cost you are looked at with a level of contempt that almost warrants forgetting the whole thing and leaving the hill just for a quick bite to eat. I will be doing my best to avoid eating here in the future. It's not worth it and I can only hope that another more reasonable fast food joint moves into town. read more
