I don't understand the bad reviews. It's kind of in the middle of nowhere NM; we are victims of the Southwest Airlines debacle of December 2022 and ended up having to drive from San Diego to Dallas and stopped here out of necessity, not our love for McDonald's. We ordered on the app from the car and our food was ready by the time we used the facilities and washed our hands. Marcy was a delight and even said they put fresh cookies in for me and would bring them to the table before we left so they'd be fresh for the road. my experience at this restaurant was unpleasant, to say the least. The attitude and demeanor of the staff was highly unsatisfactory. The manager Aaron Miller instructed her staff to refuse cashier services. As an older person, i struggle with technology, had my granddaughter not been there i would have been left clueless in the lobby by the staff. After waiting 30 minutes i went to check on my order at the desk and was told that i waited too long to ask and "normally i would not receive my order " as if to tell me she was doing me a favor and as i finally received my food i was told that they compensated me with large fries rather than a medium, despite me having paid for large fries. Incredibly slow service. Waited 10 minutes for a cup of coffee to go. When I asked if they could check on my order (the order had disappeared from their status display), I was told "you don't have to be rude." If I could give them 0 stars, I would. We walked into the building to get some food after a long trip. The lady that was taking our order loved our dog and was petting her and everything . As we sat down to start eating, some people walked in and our dog started barking as normal but we got her to be quiet. Stopped here for a bit on the ride to Texas. The store had the familiar feel as the other stores. It was pretty nice inside and had a modern look. In the morning it was very busy but things were moving. The lines moved quickly. They had some cool seating inside. Booths, chairs and bar stool with a high table. There was a lot of outside seating as well. The employees seemed nice from our limited interaction. They have a very large parking lot. Probably because it's right of the interstate. There is a section for larger trucks and one for normal sized vehicles. McDonalds look and feel is pretty consistent at every location with a few differences here and there. A few months ago I stopped by here on a trip, it was 4 PM on a Saturday and we were in the drive thru with a few cars, no one was taking our order, then we watched the staff leave with their belongings, no note on the doors/windows or the courtesy to let us know they were closing as we were waiting in the drive thru. Was really weird. Well today I decided to stop again because I'm an idiot, it seemed decently busy as people were leaving with bags of food. So I get in the drive thru line, with 4 cars in front of me. It wasn't moving at all. 10 minutes later two cars in front of me just leave. The car at the intercom is taking to it so I figured maybe they had a big order, but then they pulled out of the drive thru and left, with the car in front of me following them. We are about 20 minutes deep in waiting now, but hey it's my turn! So I pull up, silence. Hello? Silence. Hello x4...silence. Are you servicing the drive through? Silence. So I leave and glance through the windows as I pass, the place isn't busy, they are serving those that are inside perfectly fine. What the heck?
