By far the WORST McDonalds I have ever been to. They had me pull over in the drive through while they fixed my vanilla iced coffee. I did it without an issue. Then when they brought it to me, they said sorry for the wait and handed me a large milky looking coffee.... with NO ICE. I'm like "no way" then when I tasted it the liquid was WARM. No coolness to it at all. Normally I don't go back to complain but how you fix an iced coffee with NO ice? So I went back to ask for a remake (and I was way too nice) and the "new girl" said to her boss, "you didn't say to add ice!" (I only say "new" because the manager said she was new) Ma'am.... I don't eat at McDonalds a lot because of the service but I decided to try out this location. I ordered a Large Fry and an Oreo McFlurry at this McDonalds. I was told to wait because they had to make fries, but I believe I should have gotten my McFlurry first. A worker came outside the first time with a big order that was in front of me and did not have my order and I was ok with that. The second time she came out she had my large fry along with the food for the people that were behind me. The third time she came out and gave me my Oreo McFlurry. The cup and the lid was covered in melted ice cream, and I did not receive any napkins. It took 30 minutes for me to get a Large Fry and a melted Oreo McFlurry. The worst fast food experience I've ever had. We sat in the drive thru for 10 minutes before someone took our order. The lady taking our order was laughing and cutting up with someone inside while on the speaker/headset with us. We had to repeat our order 3 times before she got it right. My disappointment runs deep here. After a long day at Cat Island having a great Mothers day we ventured into the McD for a snacky snack before hitting the road. we ordered at the kiosk Around 4;30. This is probably one of the cleanest McDonald's i've been in. The manager is also really friendly. I watched one lady complain about the bathroom and the staff went back there immediately to clean it up. Whoa. Every single person who reviewed this place before me gave it one star. While my experience was similar to theirs, I got a little lagniappe and that means two stars for this dude. McDonalds is McDonalds is McDonalds, If you've been to one you've been to them all. Everyone knows what they sell and that service is not always a top priority. This location is no exception. Located on Beach Blvd., the view from this restaurant is great. Because it's so close to the water it's raised which means a weird drive thru and entry/ext because of the buildings height. We stopped in here one night on the way back from a movie. The ordering experience was a little odd since the worker forgot to turn off their microphone as they discussed things with co-workers. The most ridiculous part of the experience was when we got our food. Although we requested certain sauces, they were missing. After that was remedied and we drove off we realized we didn't have any napkins. What we did have though was not one, not two, but three happy meal toys with only one happy meal order. If you ask my kid, that was a great thing. If you ask me, I wanted to throw them in the ocean. All three of the toys were from the movie Sing and they all sang. From reading the other reviews of this location I kind of knew what to expect lol... Coming through the door it looks like a new remodeled McDonald's with all the fancy tv menu boards and a play area with tablets to play games on. After ordering and walking into the dining area to look for a table yo sit down at you can tell no one pays attention here. You look around the dining area and I find dirty rags on tables and dirty rag & spray bottle on the window ledge. Upon getting our food I check my food to make sure it was correct since all yhe other reviews states they always mess up orders here. Well they messed up my order also lol... I ordered a 10 piece chicken nugget meal and I get a 8 piece nugget meal. Their excuse was that they ran out of the large 10 piece box for the nuggets so they gave me my nuggets in the small nugget boxes. Well I guess they had already pre-boxed my nuggets and just grabbed them without checking to make sure it had the right amount. So I received cold nuggets on top of not getting my 10 piece. The handful of times I have been to this location they have screwed up my order. The person taking the orders is always unprofessional, rude and hardly has anything to say. Pull up to the next window and again the person says nothing. Today the fries were soggy, limp and drowned in salt (probably to cover up how old they were). Ordered a strawberry lemonade and it couldn't be made because the machine was down. Every time I have ordered a strawberry lemonade at this location they have given me the wrong size. Never had a problem with the mcdonalds in long beach, as everyone keeps stating in previous reviews. I was a manager for wendys for some time, so i know a bit about fast food and how it is generally operated. If there is one thing that one must remember when going to mcdonalds or any fast food chain, is that it is staffed by high school kids and little else, therefore, there is a lack of work ethic or standard of service instilled yet. Imagine being a manager there and having to basically run an after school program! Most fast food chains do their best under the unrealistic expectation of the franchise owners and quite frankly, reading all the reviews, its no wonder you all experience bad customer service. Bad or rude customers, such as yourselves, will always receive poor service because you come in with your own poor attitude. You reap what you sew people. Next time, engage the person taking your order and maybe say something nice to them, not "hey idiot" as they hear about 50 times a day. Show respect to get respect, and if you are incapable or unwilling to do the most basic of human courtesy, maybe you should stop at your local grocery and cook your own damn food. :) read more
