Parking is a bit sparse here, and you used to be able to park under the bridge but that was blocked off last time I went. You may have to park in the overflow gravel lot just west of the building, which also serves as parking for the excellent Blue Dog Bistro next door. We started with the Tres Amigos appetizer, which included a pile of fresh chips combined with salsa, cheese sauce, and black bean sauce. It was great and really meant for more than two people. They don't skimp on this one. I've been here several times and always get the Shrimp A Go Go poboy, which is pictured here. Although I feel like it could have used a few more shrimp for the price point, it was really good and comes with this creamy sort of salsa that pairs well with the fried shrimp. My wife got the grilled chicken sandwich, and honestly it was bigger and looked better than my poboy. I am definitely trying that next time. I hope this place is doing well because it never seems very busy when we go. It's like something is missing on the inside to liven it up. Our tables were covered in epoxy that was cracked and we saw buckling on the wood floors, most likely from humidity. Service has always been pretty quick and I have never had any complaints. I know the City caused a lot of drama for the previous owners, which is unfortunate. Definitely check this place out if you're looking for a place to hang out and have a few drinks and great food.

Nothing really 'epic' about them but good. Finally we had some Flamingo chicken bombs. Deep fried tenders and jalapeños. Pretty tasty and hot! Unfortunately we were left pretty underwhelmed with the experience. It's not that Woody's is bad, per se, it just isn't...good. The service was great. Our server, Jaclyn, was very attentive and helpful. She didn't hover but she made sure we had what we needed and was nearby if we had questions or requests. Jaclyn recommended the margarita, which is where things started going downhill. My dad ordered a classic lime margarita and didn't take more than a couple drinks of it. We all tried it and agreed it just had a nasty flavor. Sort of like bad white grape juice? It was weird, and of course there's a little asterisk on the menu that notes all alcohol sales as final. We were unimpressed with that but didn't even try to argue the point. Our food came next. It was actually incredibly fast service, especially considering the 30-top that was seated when we arrived, with their orders given to the kitchen right before ours. Everything was hot and fresh, though not all delicious. Here's a run down of my family's reviews of their food: Build-A-Burger w/ Amer. cheese - A bit too thick and tough like the meat had been slightly overworked, but it had a great flavor and was seasoned well. The edges were burnt and it was well done, not medium well. Good beer-battered fries. Spicy Hawaiian chicken sandwich - Very flavorful and tropical but the toppings made the bun soggy and the ratio of filling to bun was way off, even with ham and lettuce removed. Crab cake tower - The fried green tomatoes and sauce were great, as was the corn bean salsa that came with it. The crab cakes were good too, though nothing special. The shrimp on top were juicy and well-seasoned. Wouldn't go back for it though. Korean pork tacos w/ mac & cheese - They were okay. The slaw included was a bit too sour but the pork was juicy and flavorful. The mac & cheese was too bland. Chicken strips & fries - The chicken tenders were cut wrong so they were hard to eat. I had to cut them up with a fork and knife to get bite-sized pieces that I could chew. They had a good flavor but the technique needs some work. The beer-battered fries have a strange seasoning on them that got more unpleasant the more I ate, but everyone else liked them, so that's probably just me. This is one of my least favorite restaurants we've been to on the Gulf Coast, which is unfortunate because I honestly thought I was going to like it a lot! For the price, I don't think this is a great place, especially because it's pretty out of the way from the main drag(s).

That was enough for me after several days of swings and misses at several different restaurants. This place is exactly what it claims to be: an old-style drive-in with a walk up counter and a few picnic tables for customers who want to eat there. The service was...serviceable. The woman at the counter wasn't very nice, but she took our orders fine. They didn't put my dad's shake out with his meal so we had to ask for it, which seemed to displease her. The food was good. Nothing special but it filled us up and it wasn't marked up to insane prices like a lot of restaurants in the area. The fries were seasoned and a nice-sized portion. The burgers were alright. Definitely tasty enough that we finished them. The shake was good too! Not too chocolatey and very thick. One of my friends got a pork sandwich and polished it off in a matter of minutes. So, would I recommend Rebel Dip? The answer is...probably? If a better smashburger place opened up, it would be a no based on the food alone, but it's kind of worth it just for the experience.

I noticed a lot of vehicles in the parking lot. I was wondering if we could get a table. As we walked up, the hostess greeted us with a smile and sat us down right away. The atmosphere is casual but with an upbeat tone. I do not know how the experience in the evening is. However, during lunch time seems to be a great casual /classy lunch experience. I forgot her name, she was amazing! She asked if we like something to drink. I mentioned it was too early for a drink. Much appreciated. They do have a large selection of alcohol. (Drink responsibly). If not drink, how about delicious appetizer. We thank her and declined on both. Just ask for sweet tea. She came back with our drinks. She mentioned that they are offering special if we are interested. It sounds great so I asked for it. We started out with the silly Philly sandwich that comes with fries. Looks delicious. The sandwich is melted cheese with sliced thin steak meat. Comes with thinly sliced green peppers and onions. And of course, the special. It looks so delicious as it came out. I surprised how big it was. Appeared to be a big a large potato or size of two potatoes. Loaded up with small pieces of steak, shrimp, green peppers, onions, sauce (hard to describe), and light dusting of seasoning on it. Overall, great experience! We are glad we went. WiFi I can tell. I passed by this place twice this week while doing Cruising The Coast: I thought to myself, look that up on Yelp and see what's up. So I did just that and found 5 star reviews. We had a seat and you have to go to the bar to look at a menu. I perused the pizzas since that is what was highly recommended on Yelp. Went with the Supreme and a couple Cokes for my dad and me. The pizza arrived as ordered, half without peppers and onions and we dug in. What a delicious pie. Crispy crust, gooey cheese and flavorful toppings and a crunchy crust: it checks all the boxes for a great pizza. My nephew had the alligator sausage pizza and that too was delicious. While the place doesn't look like much from the road, that's just how I like it. Unassuming with delicious food. The place was clean, the music was great, the television history shows were great (Body by Fisher video was outstanding). The bathrooms were clean and well lit and overall the place was great.
