We visited this restaurant while staying in the Bass Pro Pyramid mainly for convenience. But pleasantly surprised! Great service - we were seated right away. Food came out within minutes of ordering and was delicious! The atmosphere is very quaint with its ocean appeal. read more

Whataburger wins the day again. Not only are they still serving up delicious tastes-even-better-when-under-the-influence cuisine, but they've taken some serious measures during the pandemic to ensure folks are still able to stay safe while enjoying the food. They now offer the ability to order online, get curbside pickup and even delivery. Otherwise it seems the pandemic hasn't slowed Whataburger down one bit. They still cater to crowds at all hours and offer the full menu, including breakfast. Sure, I'll eat a regular burger from time to time, but the taquitos (aka mini breakfast burritos) are almost always a better idea. I haven't experienced any Whataburger regrets just yet, except how I feel post consumption. I don't find them to be busy much, but then again I've only been here twice at odd hours. At least the crew working there seems to be nice. I appreciate the extra sauce packets and the occasional breakfast sandwich on the house. As always, the drive-thru is where it's at. Too bad they won't deliver to NYC. In the meantime I'll just have to deliver myself to this location. I think I like it better than the actual Biloxi casinos nearby. read more

Just got a warm, iced coffee with no syrup after the lady dropped the first one all over the floor. Didn't even have any made at all when I got there to pick up the online order. Informed them they had an order so they got up and made some coffee I guess. Then after I waited for the drip, it got dropped on the floor and they took the time to mop it while I was still waiting then another person who didn't even know how it was to be made handed me a warm cup of stuff and said it's iced coffee. I'm not entirely sure what the draw of Whataburger is... Don't get me wrong, it's a good burger. It's like going to In-n-Out with a bit more selection and better fries. I've now had it twice in my life: once at three AM in Austin, TX, and once at three PM on a road trip from NOLA to ATL. I got out to stretch my legs and use the facilities, and of course grab a late lunch to sustain me through my trip home. Even though we're in the midst of a pandemic, everything felt clean, people were well spaced, and precautions seemed to be obvious enough that I felt safe while inside the shop, even if I was just taking my food to go. The worst part about this location was actually figuring out how to get from the highway to there as it seems a bit convoluted, but if you put the Whataburger in your GPS, it'll take you straight there. I hadn't been to a Whataburger in forever!! It's a Texas thing! In Texas we say "water burger" although it reads as What-a-burger! Sorry I ate the burger sooo fast forgot to take a pic. Burgers are made to order so it's hot and fresh. This place observed covid rules. Everyone wore a mask and gloves when handling money. Fries were hot and delicious! I was traveling on a road trip from New Orleans back to Georgia. We were riding on I-10 through Mississippi when all of a sudden my bestie started screaming that she seen a Whataburger sign on the highway. She totally disturbed the whole car about this WhatABurger sign and demanded that we Google the whereabouts quickly before she pass an exit. Sure enough there is a WhatABurger in Mississippi. Why is this such a big deal? Because we live in Georgia an they don't have WhatABurger. We first encountered this burger place in Katy Tx on a trip to Houston last year. We didn't know what we were getting when we ordered but we soon found out. WhatABurger is just amazing. They have the best burgers. Swear to God. The best lemon pies and they have spicy ketchup something you can't find anywhere. This one did not disappoint. We ate in the dining room. The thing is they bring the food to your table. WOOOHOOO! As good as it gets! yes unfortunately this is a fast food franchise but with every franchise there was something good about it that lead them to branch out to be where they are now! As a Texas native this is the go to burger place in Texas. Unfortunately for the last 18 years I have been away from Texas due to work and haven't had a Whataburger near me until now! Being in South MS they have I believe 2 in the local area. As soon as I arrived and found out I had to subdue my cravings! The burgers are very traditional with a nice moist bun served with pickles, lettuce, onions, and tomatoes. They dont put ketchup on the burger but lace you up nicely with mustard. The finely chopped onions are a plus with the beautiful shredded chopped cuts of lettuce will truly complement your burger. The meat is always hot and fresh with the cheese that is always ooey and gooey. The beef patty is always freshly seasoned with a nice snap back when diving into it. The workers at the location are always smiling and willing to please you and make your meal as enjoyable as it can be. After all I did state they dont put ketchup on the burgers but instead after placing your order you will get a nice number place card to put on your table and when your order is ready a friendly staff worker will personally deliver your order to your table with a tray of assorted condiments ranging from ketchup and even spicy ketchup. Aside from the burgers this place offers so much more then burgers on a bun ranging from Texas toast, chicken tenders, taquitos, and a full line of breakfast items. They have tons of assorted condiments you can add such as guacamole, jalapeños, and of course bacon. If you ever get the chicken strips you will be amazed by the condiment sauce selection they offer! I firmly believe why this is a Texas establishment that is because they also serve Dr Pepper! How much Texas can you get when that is our proclaimed State drink? I hate fast food!! BUT, I had never been to Whataburger. From the ordering to getting our food, the process was easy. The food came out so hot we couldn't steal frys on the way home. I tried Whataburger for the first time on Super Bowl Sunday and it was really, really good. They were busy, but the crew here seemed organized and they were very friendly. The food was great. It's probably one of the best fast food burgers I've ever had. I ordered the Jalapeno and Cheese Whataburger. It was fresh and tasty and I had an order of fries, which were also pretty good. So out of everything I could've possibly picked in the South to wolf down why Whataburger you ask? I say Whataexperience! I have heard much mouth traffic for years about Whataburger this and Whataburger that so I convinced my Dad to drive there on a recent visit to Mississippi and see if the hype stacked up and just like the patties, it is worth the drive should you have a hankering. When you step in to put it mildly you can tell it's a place for the locals as I chuckled for sticking out like a sore thumb here (yelping pictures didn't help the crusade to blend in either), but leave it to southern hospitality to put all reservations to rest. The menu I thought would be more elaborate because of the hype, but it's basic with your normal moo, cluck, and rabbit options for the family to tussle over. I was hoping for it just to be good, but I didn't expect it to be as good as it turned out (keeping it real). The fries were golden and extremely light on the salt which for fast food is a rarity, but was welcomed. The burger itself was the sleeper out of everything. despite being the main attraction. A simple white bun was at least firm where it needed to be and fluffy to the very end. The veggies (lettuce, tomato, pickle) were crisp and fresh as a daisy. The meat had a hint of seasoning and comforting smokiness. It seriously felt like being at a backyard BBQ, but I seriously am wowed by how good the total package really meshed. I wished they'd venture West, but I know people are spoiled by the corporate machine Inn N Out (so better kept a secret in the South). To me (yes this is a bold statement and may harbor some heat, but it's my opinion in fairness) it doesn't amount to a hill of beans compared to Whataburger.
