The Milkshake in question

I live in Limon and would highly recommend you go somewhere else, I've had issues in the past but have given them the benefit of the doubt. Earlier this evening I left for an ice cream trip, I ordered a strawberry milkshake and one ice cream cone. I waited a grand total of 35 minutes before even making it to the second window, and then a further 10 minutes before they gave me my order. Which if your unfamiliar with the ice cream process.. they push a button on a machine.. No apology for the wait, avoidant eye contact, and impolite tone. To make it just the greatest visit ever I get home to find a lovely filling of black goop at the bottom of my shake that I can only hope is chocolate. Save your money, time, and lifespan. please go somewhere else.

Portion size sucks - get it together

This is the second time in as many weeks I have stopped at this location and ordered a large fry only to get a large fry container with a half filled small fry portion, it ridiculous that someone isn't watching this. If I need to wait while you cook more fry's then I'll wait. Jeez

Coffee and food was normal. May have had a new employee, but she couldn't find prices on register and service was slow.

I also got them some banana peanut butter bones and other kind with pumpkin in them! I had a Chai Tea Latte and it was excellent! Toasted everything bagel and cream cheese. It was very tasty. Chris had a ham sandwhich warmed up and he said it was very good. The service was excellent and the ambiance was warm and inviting! We would definitely come here again and so would our doggies!

I pulled into the parking lot and found cars with license plates from Texas, Florida, NY and Missouri. Received a beautiful welcome from the owner Pamela. The instant feeling is wow how calm this place is. The name Ahimsa means compassion or non violence in Sanskrit and Pamela has absolutely succeeded in creating a very fitting scenario with delicious coffee, ( she so generously offered me a sample to see if I liked her dark roast), comfortable couches, a lovely and soothing water fountain, beautiful grass for dogs, a special bin for dog waste, a really spacious and warm seating area, a wonderful employee who was so courteous and efficient. I saw folks enjoying their coffee with different pastries, muffins and goodies. Love the great prices. It was $2.50 for a small coffee. ( she steamed me milk). This is the best Zen, pet friendly ( oh a big selection of treats as well), calm and fun rest stop/coffee shop I have seen and been lucky to experience in my multiple drives across our great and beautiful country. Pamela told me that this used to be a bank till she converted it into this gorgeous haven 7 years ago. She showed me the drive up window and some of the construction. She was so kind and so caring. This was a fantastic and energizing visit and stop. Ahimsa or Compassion is a very appropriate name!

It was an early afternoon time around 1:30pm. Before I was going to my job assignment, I needed a quick coffee break. As I was coming out of the business right across from the street, this coffee shop didn't escape my notice. I wasted no time to rush to it to check it out. This shop is conjoined with a little country shop. Once you are inside the building, the coffee shop is to the right. A young lady welcomed me with a smile. I was the only person at the time of the visit so I was immediately helped. The drink menu is a good size. They also have a decent selection for breakfast and lunch items. My iced latte (16oz) was not even $5 after tax. I truly appreciate the small town prices. This place does look like something the town of Elizabeth had long been waiting for: another boost to make this quiet and quaint town could utilize to bring some curious visitors to come check out and see how cute Elizabeth is. When I pick up another shift in this part of town, now I know where to go to get a refreshing iced latte (by the way, my latte tasted really good!)

Oscar's Bar & Grill…read more Easter Sunday. Road trip to Denver. Middle of nowhere Colorado. Translation: finding food could've been a problem. Luckily... we landed at Oscar's Bar & Grill in Limon--and this turned out to be one of those "right place, right time" kind of stops. From the outside, it's a classic roadside bar & grill, but once you step inside, it's got personality--movie memorabilia, neon lights, pool table, and that relaxed, local hangout vibe. The kind of place where you just know you're going to get a solid meal. We weren't looking for anything heavy--just something good--and the $9.99 burger special caught our attention right away. Enter Sherry--our server--and she absolutely made the experience. Friendly, engaging, and confident in her recommendations (always a good sign). She pointed me straight to the Texas BBQ Burger, and that was the move. Smoky, slightly sweet BBQ sauce (house-made and legit) Crispy onion rings stacked right on top Juicy burger cooked just right That first bite told me everything I needed to know--this place knows what it's doing. I paired it with coleslaw, which was surprisingly solid--fresh, not overdressed, and a nice balance to the richness of the burger. We passed on appetizers and dessert this time, but based on the menu (and Sherry's confidence), there's definitely more here worth exploring. Bottom line: If you're rolling through Limon--especially on a holiday when options are slim--Oscar's is a no-brainer. Great service, good food, fair prices, and a welcoming local vibe. This is exactly what a road trip stop should be.
