I travel through the area frequently, and on two occasions in the last week I've come in near closing time but over an hour before closing. Both times I was told the ice cream machine was broken. If you want to let employees shut down early to leave sooner or save a few dollars on their wages that's your choice. Just don't lie and say the machine is broken. Good luck bending over looking liking for pennies and nickels while missing the quarters and dollars passing overhead. I usually pick up some lunch in Leavenworth through my way going west. This time round I really regret it... deeply. I ordered a Big Mac Burger and a Cheese Burger since I was slightly more hungry than usual. As I opened the Big Mac box, laying perfectly on top of the Burger bun was something that looked like a BURNT piece of a Burger that was crumbled up. Inside that burnt piece was a a DEAD BABY CENTIPEDE/INSECT..! I put these words specifically in bold, not that I am screaming in anyway, I would never to that, but just to give a clear indication what I'm saying here. This completely ruined my appetite since I was having my burgers on the go. If you asked me, this felt like it was either done deliberately, since this burnt piece was laying on my burger as I stated earlier...or done accidentally. Very, very slow. Still waiting on food at the time I wrote this. This place is on it's own time. Given the choice one must make between health and convenience with McDonalds, the lack of any convenience really takes any choice out of going to this McDonalds. I would recommend any of the sit down restaurants in town over this. They're all a similar time investment, they're locally owned, and the food is generally better. Given my experience at this place, I will not bother with it again, I have more useful things to do with my time and money. read more

We decided to stop here for a quick dinner night. It was about 5:55 pm when we pulled in to the drive-up lane. We finally got to the pick-up window at 7:10 pm & they asked us what our order was, at which time we were told that it would be another 30 minutes. It had already been 1 hour & 15 minutes so far. We told them no. We wanted our money back, instead we started receiving our order piece by piece. Even then it took several times to get our correct order. It was 7:25 pm by the time we could leave. This was the worst experience we've ever had at any Mcdonald's or any fast food restaurant. Granted it was 12/24/24 but the employees didn't seem to care that they were so slow. The worst customer service I ever experienced!!! My family and I drove to visit Leavenworth and the kids were so hungry. We went to McDonald's. We walked in around 330 and it was slightly busy for a small dining room. I have been to McDonald's that have been way more busy and had 10 times better customer service! When we came in we saw the kiosk to the right and one register on the left. There was a line of people at both and so I waited for the register line. While I waited I stayed on my phone and someone asked if I was in line I said yes. After waiting a little longer I realized the young guy who was helping the people when J walked in was gone and everyone else in front of me already had their receipts. So he must have only helped the 1 customer I saw him helping. He didn't say anyone else or can I help who's next. He just left. I walked up to the front and stood there pati being they all seemed busy. They would all look at me including he manager and not one person said I will be right with you or how can I help you they just acted as if I was not there. After some time I asked the boy who was once at the register is anyone working the registe? He replied saying we're busy go to the kiosk. I replied saying I am paying with cash, can someone please help me? He shrugged his shoulders and walked away. When he was walking by acting like I wasn't there again I said is there a manager I can talk to? He said yeah walked to the back and didnt say one word to her he just started doing other things. Then he brought something out to someone and I said excuse me were you going to get your manager he said yeah and kept walking away. After he wasn't any help I waved down the manager. She said one minute kept doing what she was doing which is fine then came to me and I said can I please make a order and she said we're busy go to the kiosk. Shocked that a manager told me that I then told her I am paying with cash so can I please order here. she then said ok and said were busy so you will have to wait. I have been to bussier places who could take my order they had like 6 orders on the screen and a drive through of 6 cars. Kinda a normal McDonald's business. She then finally come one out to take my order I told her my first part of the order and mid saying my order she walks away and says to someone else to help me. He asks huh like 5 times and then finally comes out to take my order. I am just so disappointed in the terrible service. It was so embarrassing to basically beg for someone to help me because I was paying with cash. Maybe if they want people to us the kiosk there should be a cash option. I have dealt with crappy customer service before but this by far was the worst. Will NEVER go there again! read more

09/19/2022 Have eaten at a lot of McDonalds over the years and can truly I have never eaten at a worse McD's than this location. We stood at the counter for maybe 7-10 minutes, finally a young girl hollered out rather rudely, you have to order from the Kiosk. Given this was the first time every ordering from the Kiosk, let me say, they SUCK. We were not able to order our food to our liking. We both ordered a Qtr pounder with cheese. We would have liked to add Mac sauce, but not able to. We got our food, which sure did not take very long considering the Qtr pounder is cooked fresh. We opened up our burger, took a bit, and found the meat was luke warm and very tough. I am guessing it has been sitting maybe under a heat light or warming tray, tossed on a grill and the burger made. We did not even bother trying to have them redone. The staff was extremely unfriendly. We ate our fries, drank our soda and left. I don't plan on stopping eating at a McD's, but sure can say I would never step foot in the Leavenworth place. We have one about 2 miles from our house here Phoenix, never had a bad burger, always friendly staff, and hot burgers and fries. Last evening My family and I went to the Leavenworth McDonalds for supper. The kid taking the orders at the drive through didn't talk plain enough for my wife and I to hear what he was saying. We ordered two orders of #6 meals with drinks, and two orders of #2 meals with drinks. I repeated my orders three times. When we picked up our food, we had two orders of the #2 meals, with 4 orders of fries. I live within a few miles of Leavenworth and will never be going back to this eating place again. From the time we got there, a piece of equipment; I can only assume was a fryer beeping, which I only figured out while trying to go to sleep in my bed wondering how McDonald's could be so bad; it was our chicken in there for our sandwiches that had nothing left on them. The order finally came out which seems to take longer than most and there was an extra 5.67 dollar sandwich on there. No, couldn't be the cheap 1 dollar sandwich the girl messed up on. I went there the day after xmas 26,27 and the town was absolutely crazy busy with traffic. Around lunch time the Tesla charge stations across the parking lot were almost full. I saw a worker there cleaning the whole time. Let me tell you about him and describe him I didn't catch his name. He's white prob in his late 40s about 6ft 180lbs. It looks as though he might have a slight physical challenge or something. He was so friendly and smiled. The place was clean! The floors,bathrooms, glass, drink machine catch tray, garbage were all his doing. I wanted to give him money because he was working so hard and doing s great job. I didn't want to insult him but I do plan on contacting the manager and McDonald's corporation. All ingot was french fries for my 2yr old but he was awsome and should be commended for his work ethic and never quit mentality with a disability. Great job guy!!! read more

It feels funny reviewing a McDonald's but this place seems so different because it's in Leavenworth. (Let's be real, everything seems fancier in Leavenworth). The building and decor are nicer than your standard McDonald's and though it's smaller than normal, they somehow fit a fireplace in the middle of the establishment. My friends and I stopped by for a quick bite when we got into town and I can at least attest to the fact that they made our food fresh. MADE TO ORDER. I'm guessing it was because they didn't want the food to sit out all night, or even worse, have to throw anything away because they didn't get customers in. Went to this particular McDonald's drive thru twice during my Eastern Washington trip. It was for the most part, your average McDonald's franchise, with that Leavenworth Bavarian flavor. Fresh fries are always a plus, and you can't go wrong with cheeseburgers. The chocolate shake was good, but next time I'll pass on the whip cream and cherry. They didn't mess up my order the two times I stopped by, which is always a plus. read more

As a southern lass, I adore McDonald's as the only place I can get something properly resembling sweet tea outside of the south. This McDonald has one of the dumbest setup I ever seem, they have the machines for self ordering but there is only 2 machined and small space for people to line up and wait for food. The dumbest part is that usually at other mcdonald you have a choice to self order or order with an employee. No not this mcdonald, they have people behind counter on cell phone while there is a line of 10 people waiting to use the machine. Not to mention this is the first Weekend for the Christmas lighting. Either hire more people for busy weekend or get off the cell phone and do some work and not let machines to replace all of your work force due to pure laziness. read more
