We found RR to be a central meet up point and gave it a shot. We were treated to an as-expected experience. That isn't to say this is a bad spot by any means, it just doesn't offer a ton to write home about. I'll be honest, it's a dive bar. Now I love dive bars, and this is slightly a level up from a true dive bar, but not by much. The decor is no-frills bar-chic and the menu leaves a bit to be desired (I'd love to see just a FEW more options). We had cheese curds to start, which were tasty, and washed them down with some beers. For a meal, I had a burger and it too was tasty; not amazing, but tasty. I also had a side salad which was fine but very small for the price tag. Overall... hm... I found it to be a typical dive bar but, that said, my friend and I will probably look else where for your next rendezvous.

First - drinks. Plenty of options! While looking at the food menu, we were a bit overwhelmed, as there were soo many choices. Our waitress was great & so patient with us. After a bit of discussion, we chose nachos & a maduzi salad. They were not messing around with the house made sarracha queso & pepperjack cheese. These nachos had a kick we were not prepared for! Packed with flavor. Although they were a bit on the salty side. As for the salad, perfection! Tossed in dressing is my absolute favorite & the chicken was so so juicy.

Chef Juan was incredibly…read morefriendly and welcoming -- he chatted with us, offered suggestions, and made us feel right at home. I ordered the Chef Queso Fundido based on his recommendation, and while I appreciated the guidance, the dish itself didn't quite live up to the hype for me. My bartender, Tina, makes a very solid Flor de Desierto -- easily the highlight of the drinks. However, the raspberry margarita leaned more syrupy than fresh, which threw the balance off. The restaurant is lively and energetic, with live music (a solo guitarist) and a packed house. It's clearly a popular spot and has a fun, upbeat atmosphere. That said, the overall vibe felt more like a "Mexican‑themed chain restaurant" than an authentic Mexican dining experience. If that's your style, you'll probably love it. For my personal taste, it just wasn't quite what I look for in Mexican cuisine. The staff were wonderful, but the food and overall authenticity didn't quite hit the mark for me.

However, there's no way they even looked at our ticket when making the sandwiches. Random wrong ingredients included or excluded while sauces and meat were exactly how they should be. They made the sandwich with American cheese, white bread and sent me cups of avacado to add to my melt ( which means you have to pull it apart to put it on, what a melt mess!). Of course this was a lunch order so I don't have time to run back and get a fixed sandwich (the bread and avacado would have been ediblebut the American cheese is a hard pass for me). Called and the employee and manager were like okay your sandwich was wrong so what. I asked for a refund...now I get to save the sandwich and return it after work. That ought to smell great sitting around all day. It's also wonderful when you pay for something and its not right to have the reaction of the manager be so what. I was polite, did not "ask" for the manager was directed to her to see what she would do...which apparently is little to nothing. So frustrating. Now I am out a lunch period (wasted running to the place), no lunch, and have to make an extra trip to the store. Way to Subway.
