This is the best McDonald's I have ever been to, bar none. If you are passing by on nearby I-80, this is a good place to stop. Gas is cheaper in Iowa than Illinois, so it makes sense to fill up at the adjacent Shell station if you are eastbound. I make it a point to stop here EVERY time we pass by. Food is ALWAYS hot and tasty. Staff is ALWAYS friendly and professional. And, it has a nice view of the Mississippi River. I hope that corporate in Oak Brook sees this review and recognizes ALL of the staff for a job well done, consistently. read more

Typically I am a big fan of this restaurant, but today I was absolutely astonished by what I saw. I ordered my food and sat down to eat. Shortly after, an employee's boyfriend came into the establishment and lifted the cashier up onto the pickup counter and straddles him on the counter where the food is sat. They continued to make out and perform sexual actions through our whole visit. He was seductively gripping on the pickup counter and thrusting into her. I would prefer that in future McDonald's visits they take that D to go and not on the counter. read more

This McDonald's is attached to a gas station in the middle of nowhere lol. There where about 10 employees just standing around when we made a pot stop. All laughing and talking to each other. None of my business I suppose but when you have a line of people trying to order a quick bite to go it's kind of annoying. I guess that's what you get from small restaurants attached to gas stations. Gave it four stars because even after the poor customer service the place was cleaned. All the tables seemed spotless not sure if people tend to seat and eat or just take it to go. Either way there's a McDonald's in almost every stop so if you don't like this one just cross the street you will find another a block or so away. read more

I regularly commute between Chicago, IL, where I live, and Waterloo, IA. I make a point of stopping at the LeClaire McDonald's for 1/2 hour break. The service is fast and friendly. The restaurant is clean and bright with huge windows overlooking the Mississippi River at the I-80 crossing. It is paired with a Shell gas station which is clean and has good coffee. Buy the Shell coffee for your meal. What makes this McDonald's worth a regular stop is the view of the Mississippi River from its bluff location. When weather allows, eat on the tables out front for great views, or on the grass just in front of the parking lot for more great views. There are large grassy fields all around, with more great views. After eating stretch your legs with an outdoor stroll before getting into the car. If it is late and you are looking for a place to stay overnight, there is a well kept Holiday Inn higher up on the bluff. read more

If you are wanting to get your order in a slow manner and then have to go in to correct it this is the place for you. This is one of the worst McDonalds I have ever gone to. I have been to this location multiple times and every time they find a different way to screw up my order. Today was the last straw they forgot the eggs on my Big Breakfast how do you do this. The people here must be complete idiots if they can mess up a McDonalds breakfast order. Plus they also put onions on the steak bagel when I specially asked for no onions.
