I recently stopped by McDonald's during my visit to Lake Arrowhead, and it turned out to be a convenient and pleasant quick meal spot while visiting this village. As it happened to be St. Patricks day, we ordered their Shamrock shake as well as their ice coffee with chocolate drizzle (when you order on their app, some additions are free just like my chocolate drizzle). It happened to be very hot that day so I thought it would be nice to cool down with a few refreshing drinks. Parking was easy to find, with nearby lot spaces available, which is especially helpful in such a busy tourist area. Even on a weekday, it was quite desolate and there were plenty of parking. I have been here on the weekends and it has been a challenge to find parking. Inside, the restaurant was clean and well-maintained, with a cozy indoor ambiance that made it comfortable to sit down and relax for a bit after walking around the lake. The staff were friendly and efficient, and our order was prepared quickly and accurately. Definitely will be back when I am visiting this area again. read more

I had one of the most frustrating, nonsensical, and genuinely baffling customer service experiences at this McDonald's location. I ordered food for my wife and myself and asked to add a large ice water. The cashier told me it would be a $1 charge. Strange, but whatever, I didn't particularly mind. Then I noticed he rang it up as "apple slices." When I asked why, he said "oh, we don't have a way to charge for water, so this is what they told us to do." Right after this, the guy in line behind me walks up, orders absolutely zero food, asks for three waters, and the exact same worker hands them over completely free of charge. When I asked why I was being charged while the next guy got a free pass, the worker claimed it was because I asked for a "large" water. Fine. I told him to cancel the large water and just give me five "regular" waters instead. The manager came over to process the refund. I tried to friendly point out how ludicrous this all was, but she just acted completely annoyed with me. Because the rule apparently dictated they couldn't let a large cup leave without a charge, she took the large water, dumped the water out, and threw the plastic cup in the trash. Then, the original worker came back and handed me five regular waters plus a cardboard drink carrier. So, because of a policy about the cost of a single plastic cup, they threw a brand-new cup in the garbage, wasted the water, and then handed me five cups and a carrier for free. The level of administrative stupidity here is off the charts, and the manager's attitude made a ridiculous situation even worse. read more

The place is really nice with a great atmosphere and an amazing view. The only thing I didn't like was the burger I ordered. It was incredibly small, much smaller than the burgers I've had at other McDonald's locations. Maybe I just got unlucky, but that's how it was. A decent and familiar choice if you're in lake arrowhead and need something quick and cheaper than the surrounding options. Cant really say McDonald's is cheap anymore. We came here to travel around. It is thanksgiving evening and we did not expect shops and restaurants close early. I found McDonald and an Indian female staff(if wrong, sorry) was closing the door. I begged if i can get order anything left instead of cooking and takes more of their time. She kindly opened the door and list what they currently have, and i could be able to get all food for my family including kids. What a joke! So unorganized and chaotic. You will wait in-line foreverrrrrrrrrr just to order at a kiosk thingy. It is super annoying. The people in front of us took an entire year to order. Like really? You been standing in-line too and couldn't figure out what you wanted before you got to the kiosk? Come on people. Do better. The kiosks are super user friendly. Easy to navigate. But people are dumb apparently and couldn't figure out how to use them. And one kiosk there was a teenager just standing there taking up space, waiting for his dad to show up 10 minutes later to finally order. Really? Who would go to McDonalds when they come to a beautiful tourist spot such as Lake Arrowhead?? We also went to the more expensive lake front restaurants but when we came here to get their famous Soft Serve ice cream, we found out that they have a back patio with amazing lake views!! Because they are hidden in the back and away from the most popular tourist area, you get to enjoy some quiet and nice views, nicer than most other more expensive restaurants, in my opinion! read more

Spent over $40 and got burgers, nuggets and fries for only two people- the size of the burger was smaller than the palm of my hand. The patty was so thin. It's not even the same size as your finger like the thickness of the Patty. This is the worst McDonald's I've ever spent money and I will never go back again. The service I always get from the workers is always very unpleasant. But it makes sense when they have a manager like Liz. I ordered breakfast and I was served cold hasbrowns so I asked for fresh ones and she just snatched them out of my hand and a couple minutes later she, With the worst attitude, says "here!" First time to the good old McDee. Yes I have never been to McDonald's before and this wasn't going to change but this Lake community doesn't have too many choices, especially on a Sunday night. Burgers, pizza and Mexican are the only options around here. Even Subway shut its doors recently for an odd reason. They've been always so busy! Since this was the first time I literally ordered one of everything to try: a quarter pounder burger, a chicken sandwich, a fish fillet, fries and chicken nuggets. My wife and I sat down outside where by the way the lake view is absolutely amazing and with quiet an anticipation began unwrapping all the goodies. Holy crap, everything was absolutely disgusting. The food didn't even taste bad it just didn't have any taste at all. The sandwiches and especially the fries tasted as if I was chewing on Styrofoam. No wonder you have to get a ton of sauces and ketchup with the food to add any taste at all. I'm happy I finally gave McDonald's a try to have this experience but this will never happen again. Next time I will skip the meal rather than eating at this place. Something really bothered me though and I wonder if any McDonald's fans can comment on this... The Fish fillet sandwich, that contains only a patty with a piece of tilapia and Tar-Tar sauce had a price tag of almost $9 dollars. At the same time customers can go to Chipotle and get an entire bowl of food for the same price tag of nine dollars. Heck, for $10 bucks people can get a pound worth of food at Whole Foods ! Super long wait time at 7pm. 30 minute wait for 2 cheese burger combo and a 10 piece. Fries were very old and potato chip crunchy. Food was just ok but was most cost effective for the area. We had breakfast up here in the Village yesterday. This McDonald's is located on the lower level of the village and very easy to get to with lots of parking close by. The line was quick and the person taking our order was friendly. We got the pancakes with sausage breakfast and the egg mcmuffin with hash browns and coffee. The food was pretty good. They didn't give my friend any butter or syrup for the pancakes which we asked for, but it had some jam with it. They have outdoor and indoor seating which overlooks the lake. The view is amazing. Good place for a quick breakfast since most of the restaurants on the weekends are crowded. read more

I love the location of this McDonald's!!! Located right next to the lake, just order your food and try to grab one of their outside patio with an amazing view of the lake. However, the customer service is absolutely dismal!! Expect long lines and longer wait time for your food. Ordered 2 drinks + large fries and waited 35 mins!! When asked about my order, they told me that they forgot the order and I had to wait another 15 mins. I do not expect top notch service but come on, 50 mins for 2 drinks + large fries; enough said. read more

Where else can you get a quick inexpensive meal with a great view? It was pretty busy for a Sunday morning and I thought ordering was going to take forever, but the line went fast. Every time I have done a drive up order I've waiting for more than 30min. Their employees who are about to go into work park in the drive up parking spots. And when I've gone in their employees are not friendly and when asked for help they get upset. It's sad because this location is right in the lake where a better quality restaurant would serve better. read more

Awesome lake view! Amazing views for a McDonalds. Typical MCD with good service but they are a bit more then other MCD. I know its a resort town so don' expect to find the cheap eats or drinks here. But compare to where you're at its cheapest eats around and you get amazing views. read more

We entered this restraunt to eat at 8:50PM...This is a major tourist area and its a holiday weekend, so would think that the staff would be at the top of their game for customer service, but for the second time in one week (The first time was at the Yucaipa CA location), we had the worst customer experience in our 53 years of eating at McDonald's...We are disabled, elderly customers in our late 60's who have been complaining about the horrible service at McDonalds for the past 15 years now, but especially since the Covid outbreak began here in March of 2020... So we order a quarter pounder with cheese meal and another medium coke only to be told 'the fries machine has been turned off', then on a cold night, we also order a hot chocolate, only to be told that 'that machine has been turned off too'...So I am eating my sandwich when I start to be attacked personally, slowly but surely, by several employees...'We are closed', they say, But I tell them that we came in before you were closed, and that my disabled wife is in the restroom, so I have to wait for her...Then, the attacks become louder and even more personal, as again I tell them I have the right to finish my burger - And wait for my disabled wife who is in the restroom...But they will not stop, and will not let me finish eating and get my wife out of the restroom! So I then videotaped the confrontation on my phone, as these young people started a all out verbal war against us....They then locked us inside the restraunt, and tried to call the police on us...We have everything on videotape...Don't eat here - Or at any McDonald's - If your life depends on it! read more

Absolutely horrible place. Always some asshole in the dining room playing their phone so everyone has to listen to it, sports etc. Which means their customers are responsible to tell these to turn it down. Amazing view on the deck outside!! Staff was really nice and they were fast. I would give the location five stars if not for the lack of shade outside. With the summer sun beating down on you it's hard to enjoy the view! There are two tables that happen to be shaded by trees, but McDonald's didn't put any umbrellas or canopies outside.
