This location has the ice cream machine working and ready for you to either use your app to order ahead, or order at the drive through with their updated screens. On this occasion the screens seemed to have issues, and i was able to order ahead. Just be prepared that the prices have increased, and you will pay extra for hot fudge.! Hot tip: while using the app, there are often deals or rewards that can score extra freebies or discounts on certain items. On this trip. It happened to be 6 pieces of Chicken McNuggets for Dodgers winning a game. So. I happily accepted. It must be noted, "all the is free is not the best it could be! McDonald's is McDonald's! Well, not all are the same. I have to say I've been to a couple I would never return to. However, this one is one of the better ones and I would come back here. The staff were friendly, and the drive through move quickly. There is plenty of parking if you decide you would rather walk in and order. I ordered a double cheeseburger meal and it was hot and tasted fresh. I have to say, the fries were really good. Condiments, napkins, and a straw were provided. My Diet Coke was cold with great carbonation. When you are in a hurry, and in the mood for fast food, this is at a convenient location in Laguna Niguel. First of all we usually go to one off the freeway on our annual Thanksgiving trip. It's crowded, noisy and cramped. But we used Maps. The mileage was WAY off the estimate but we got there o.k. Fewer people were there, quieter, new, clean, our Big Macs were done asap. They brought it to our table. Clerk was conversational and nice. Inside it was relaxed, lower lit. I usually visit the Golden Lantern restaurant once each week. I've seen great improvement in both dining room cleanliness and in customer service. Both were lacking about 12 months ago. The newer trash receptacles, with 3 compartments, seem to fill quickly and need to be checked more often. Actually, they need to be redesigned by corporate so that they don't jam up so easily. I took it back to the register and explained to her what had happened. She offered to make me another one, but unless she can brew I'm a second I'm not gonna fit around for her to rebaje it when it was an awful batch of coffee. My favorite Macdonald's! I'm sort of a drive through king that uses the "deals" on the app. Well worth it as many items are free!!! Can't complain. It's always fast here as fast food should be. Drive through is awesome as the folks who work there now know me. Lol. Walk in, not so recommended. Focus is on drive through so when you walk in, it's sort of secondary in service ranking. This McD sure is fancy (see photo). The outside looks typical but the inside is anything but. There was nobody in line, and our food was brought to our table WOW. There are screens at some tables with games for kids. The seats were actually pretty comfortable, unlike some McDs that have hard plastic seating and painfully bright lighting. Horrible sewer smell. If you go out the side customer door, towards the drive-thru, you walk over some type of collection of sewage manholes that leak a very strong and putrid sewage smell. If you're in the dining room and someone comes in or goes out of the side customer door, the smell comes into the dining room and doesn't go away. The sewage smell can be very strong in the restroom also, so it may back up in there too. Supposedly they use pure beef patties on their hamburgers, but the patties look grayish and are bland. There is no flavor at all, just the overwhelming sewage smell. It was terrible. We had to leave without eating our meal. Service was terrible. They have table service if you use their app, but they didn't bring any of our food out. We had to go up and ask about it. We found it in bags off to the side, even though each of us had selected table service in using the app. The tash cans were overflowing in the dining room and adjacent to the soda fountain. The fountain area was very dirty and unkept. There were no medium-size lids for the drinks. A ketchup dispenser that empties above the catch drain for the soda fountain was leaking and running for quite some time before it finally stopped. A couple of customers tried to stop it from leaking, but that didn't seem to work and one of them went up front to tell somebody, but I don't know what happened as it seemed to stop on its own before they got up to the customer counter. read more

So it seems they changed their condiment supplier as the Mexican salsa wrapper is now green instead of red and the catchup package look different as well . You would think no big deal however while digging into my Big Mac combo I instantly noticed something tasted off . Perhaps they changed the oil supplier on the french fries or ingredients in the Big Mac sauce ? all I know is there's a funky aftertaste going on for real . This McDonalds, though, located in Laguna Niguel is what you might call...state of the art? So dot_ham wanted McDonald's. I was on the 5 near El Camino Real and he told me to exit, go backwards, take another street, and go all the way around. Why there's no direct street here, I don't know :( Anyways Mickey D's. They upgraded and renovated. How can you tell? It looks classy for a McDonald's. You enter through the front and go to one of 2 computers and you personalize and figure out what you want. This is exciting. I think they have a BYO burger here that you can customize to your liking, so that's a plus! Alas for me, all I ordered was a hash brown, which tasted like a normal Hash Brown, along with an iced water downed hazelnut coffee. Fast food is not typically something I post reviews on, however this experience warrants a review. I gave the experience 3 stars because I think that's a high rating for a fast food joint. This build your own burger gimmick is fantastic ! You place your order on an iPad and you can choose from made to order options or build your own from scratch. I made a burger on an artisan roll with lettuce, tomato, mushrooms, white cheddar and big mac sauce. Honestly it could have used more sauce. But the burger was delicious! It was brought out to my table like at a regular restaurant too :) I would definitely do it again ! Hopefully the pilot program becomes a permanent thing because it was worth it. read more
